Their sandwiches and soup are delicious and creative (Ships in the Night is *amazing*); but more than the food, their staff goes above and beyond with customer service. I called them before an order to ask if "creamy balsamic" meant it had mayo in it. When the server said yes, and I explained I was allergic to eggs and would take the sandwich without the mayo, he responded, "Well, if you want, I could just mix up some olive oil and balsamic and throw that on there for you." What restaurant offers to go above and beyond to *make* you a dressing (when you havent even asked them to do so) during a busy lunch time? On top of that, when we arrived to pick up the order, they had put the remaining dressing into a cup and said, "Eh, we had some left and thought maybe you guys could use it at the office." They are amazing. Give them business.

I have never been to Darwin before until Wednesday, May 17th. I ordered the Mojo which was turkey, bacon, fried egg and special mayo and comes with lettuce. I had a longer wait because I ordered regular mayo plus onions. When I got to my table outside I had to go back and wait in line because they forgot my onions. I asked for pepper and salt packets but they were out of pepper..... The mojo sandwich with chips and a soda were $12.42. Pretty pricey. Would have gotten a bigger portion at Brooklyn Pickle and there they have plenty of salt and pepper packets. I get burned up when a restaurant does not have salt or pepper. No napkins either. They put them in the bag. Its a restaurants job to have salt and pepper. If you want to pay a lot of money with not really big portion sizes go to Darwin.

I give Darwin Cafe 5 stars because the food was amazing, the service was delightful, friendly and helpful. The downs were that the location was a bit difficult to get to and I have celiac disease, which means no wheat or gluten. The staff was very accommodating by putting my sandwich over lettuce rather than in bread. However, they failed to tell me that the caramelized onions were floured. I had one bite and could tell but it was too late. I was very, very sick for several days, unfortunately.

I love love love this place. The sandiches are so delicious, they use Pastas Stretch bread and that makes them even better. Everyone that I have met there so far is really great. The owner worked at Rileys ( one of my favorite places in Syracuse for dinner and drinks). for a long time and definitely learned a thing or two. If you havent tried them, you should. P.s. I have only gotten carryout orders, and they always give us fireballs candy in the bag, I just think thats so cute.

Not enough on the menu no room to walk in and get in line when entering from the chase building side they have a big rope in the way with people sitting right on top of the line. They only take your first name when you order so I got the wrong sandwich which was disgusting and didnt have time on lunch break to bring it back. Very slimy edges on the turkey not impressed wont be back again.

I just ate the PJs Optimus Prime; best frickin beef sandwich Ive ever had. If I had an hour long lunch, I wouldve gone back for another one. I want an app that tells me when they have this on their menu. Its easy enough to check the menu on their website, but Im not always at my desk. Order ahead if you can. Im glad I did today, because the line was nearly out the door.

Dont normally waste my time doing reviews but had to check it out when I saw the reviews. Because Im all about sandwiches Ill just judge that... Had a roast beef sandwich and it was on point. Line was out the door but was in amd out in 5-6 minutes. Sandwich was fresh and sandwich, drink, and chips for $11 which is great for good meat and in-and-out service.

the latest visit to stellas was breakfast, (i cnt begin to count them) perfectly done omelette with itlian toast. Is there any other kind? I have had about everything on the menu, with emphasis on salads. Always good but always take home. possibly a smaller portion would appeal to some. Wait staff great, plce clean atmophere friendly. Classy diner!

One of the best kept secrets of Syracuse. This sandwich shop is open only limited hours each day, but you have to do yourself a favor and go get a sandwich from them. Everything is fresh from the bread to the lettuce. The soups are hearty and delicious. You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. I just wish they were open longer!

This place serves some of the best sandwiches I have ever tasted. The place is very small and unassuming. A little better than a hole in the wall. But the staff are super nice and the food is top notch. It gets very busy at lunchtime so be ready to wait for your food. But its worth it!

This place is simply fantastic. Rotating menu with incredible choices, always delicious, and the staff are just great. Youll pay about $10 for any sandwich, and you definitely get quality. Side choices are good and soups are good, but the sandwiches are where its at.

Great selection of sandwiches that change throughout the season. Their previous location was small and had a great atmosphere, but they have recently moved to a larger location that I have yet to visit.

Small place that serves great sandwiches. Quick service and always delicious. Staff is very friendly and a fun environment. Only a couple tables and a few stools to sit and eat. Best to order to go.

“Romantic dinner” Excellent dinner but smaller portions. The temperature of the restaurant required a sweater. Cool temps that did not make it feel cozy but service and food was exemplar.

Darwin On Clinton is the next step in sandwich evolution. Locally sourced products lead to a unique lunch experience. Gourmet food for the price of a sandwich. Cant go wrong.

Been here twice so far. First time both sandwich and soup were amazing. Not as good the second time, but that may have just been me not picking the right thing.

Absolutely supurb food. While very busy the line moves fast and you get it quickly. Something which is always important for a work day lunch.

Small menu, but a good variety. I feel like I need a nap after eating here. Most of the food is a little too heavy for a work lunch.
