Worst restaurant experience. Mediocre food and rude staff. My Korean friend ordered something Korean and said it was awful. I figured they can’t screw up tempura, but I was wrong. The tempura was more like American breaded seafood, not the light and crispy tempura batter it should be. Plus they skimp on the expensive part of the meal, and add cheap stuff you didn’t order to the plate. I ordered shrimp and vegetables tempura. There was 1 shrimp, 2 pieces of red pepper 1/4 inch thick, and 1 piece of zucchini. The rest of the plate was filled with breaded deep fried chicken nuggets ?? and a potato and pea croquette thing - neither of which I ordered - in other words, filler food. And the staff is a great example why you shouldn’t let plebs run your business. We walked in at 1:50pm and asked if they would still serve us lunch - they said yes, and sat us. The door says they serve lunch 11:30-2:30. Well, the staff actually expects to leave at 2:30pm on the dot whether or not you have finished eating or drinking the food you paid for. We got our food at 2:15pm and at 2:20pm our waitress dropped off the bill and told us that they close at 2:30pm. She came back twice to tell us they were closed. When we were leaving I complained to the barman that the staff shouldn’t expect to leave at 2:30pm on the dot. He said to me, “You can talk all you want, no one is listening to you.” Wow. I would rather starve to death than ever go to August Moon again.

Ive driven pass August Moon many time but never went inside. My co-workers always raved about how great their sushi is, but it was hard to believe because its located in Norristown. But, I finally decided to take my wife there for dinner yesterday. We shared some Signature Rolls (Polar Bear, Dancing Shrimp, Godzilla, and Radiation). It was soo fresh and delicious. Just the way rolls should be; well balanced in flavor, great fish portions, just a thin layer of rice, neat, clean with everything clinging onto the roll itself instead of breaking off onto the plate. We also tried the sashimi, which was very fresh. The simplest sashimi, for instance, maguro tuna was so fresh I could taste the ocean, literally. I hate to say this, but Ive been going to Kabuki for well over 10 years now. Ive been a regular there for so long, Ive known workers who came and gone. But for the passed few years, the sushi there isnt so fresh anymore. Theyve lost their touch and its just not the same. I live in Blue Bell and have also tried Blue Fin. Why wouldnt I have? I mean, they get so much talk. I hope Im not being arrogant, but Ive been there twice and their sushi isnt as good as people make it out to be. Its overrated. If youre looking for some good sushi go to August Moon. It was recommended to me and now Im recommending it to you. Best sushi around... hands down.

Our first experience (at supper) was a happy one. Slightly spicy Seafood Soup, Pork Wasabi Dumplings, Pork and Kim Chi Bok Um, beef dish accompanied by several vegetables. Meats were cooked to tender and tasty perfection, vegetables full of flavor. Excellent service from friendly staff. Im planning to go back for lunch soon. Subdued decor was very relaxing. Live piano was quite nice. Off-street parking. Go!

This place rules!! Generous portions of well made Sushi and GREAT Service. I enjoy going several times a month and have brought many friends and family members who all agree its by far the best Sushi in Montgomery County. Dont let the location fool you! I have been going to August Moon for 10 plus years and highly recommend it!

Its a very nice quaint little restaurant. If you want to go have a drink and you dont want a lot of noise and you just want friendly staff and a little atmosphere and some good food this is a great simple place to go. Basically its a fail safe and unless you hate sushi this will always be a winner

Excellent and generously-sized sushi rolls. Great Korean stone bowl as well with super-fresh ingredients. The restaurant was recently remodeled so inside is clean and sleek. Not that many tables so service was prompt. We will be going back again and again!

Dont let the location fool you. This place is amazing. Best crunchy spicy tuna roll I have ever had. The stone bowls are so good, especially on a cold day. I have gone years between visits here and the wait staff always remembers me.

I have been to this restaurant many times now. It is reasonably priced for the quality of the food and has a welcoming environment. The staff is friendly and always attentive. This is my go to place for special occasions.

We loved the Korean barbeque with all the sides of kim shi. Yum. Maybe August Moon doesnt have terrific ambiance, but the dishes were good and sauces pretty authentic. Loved it and so did 7 other friends.

Great cozy / casual sushi. Easy to drop in and enjoy a meal on short notice. Usually not crowded. Pricing on the lower end and quality is very good. Better than you would expect for the price.

Good for a quick lunch. Weird that the sushi bar is right in front of the kitchen door, so you cant sit there. Still, not bad.
