My wife and I took a 2 hour road trip from upstate NY after watching The Profit episode. Unbeknownst to us it was their Grand Opening at 2 pm on Saturday. My wife had the build your own and chose everything on the #4 choice and I had the OMG burger, with a side of Sweet Potato Fries. She had a Coke, made with real sugar, and I had the Chocolate Shake. My wife is a fantastic cook, so her burger expectations are much higher than mine. She was hesitant to drive 100 miles, one way, for a burger. It was worth the trip. She said her burger was excellent. I really enjoyed my burger and the flavor was very unique. The Sweet Potato fries were very tasty and we thought the sauces while flavorful detracted from the taste of the fries, and they were lightly salted. Nothing worse than over-salted fries. The Chocolate shake was very good with real syrup and ice cream. Now the minor negatives. They are still working out their bugs. We did not get a table number card when placing the order. One of the owners corrected that when he sat down with us for a short chat. The Sweet Potato fries could have been crunchier, they were soft. The music needs to be selected better, not for the type; but, we noticed that one of the songs had the F word in it. Overall, even with the minor problems, the food made it 5 stars. Well worth the trip, and we plan to return. Or, visit one of their upcoming franchises.

Not my first time here, previous visits were very good. I tried to order a burger medium rare and was told it can only be rare, medium or well done. Period. When I questioned what they considered rare they said bloody I asked if the meat was closer to raw I got no answer other than I can get my burger rare, medium or well....I ordered a shake and the order taker assumed the shake was for my wife and asked if she wanted whipped cream.... Unless this burger is awesome this is my last visit. Burger was more well then medium very salty...shake was very good. Too bad, $32 is way too much for a mediocre meal. 8/5/17. gave them another try, medium burgers cooked well, fried onion on burger was cold and hard...if it wasnt for the fries and beer, the meal would have been a complete bust.

The burgers and fries are the best on the Island, and I have tried 5 guys burgers also. Angry mayo sauce is great, and you can get any topping you want on your sandwich. Turkey burger is awesome! If you like eating burgers that are half made from seaweed and oatmeal or cereal, then this is not the place for you, go back to WackDonalds. Pure beef burgers, turkey burgers, great onion rings, and they even keep the skin on the fries. Doesnt get much better than this. Only negative, some of the tables and chairs are real wobbly. If that could be fixed it would be the best burger spot on the Island. Setting the Standard!

Came for a quick business lunch with two colleagues today, April 11, 2016. We came in and were completely ignored by the only employee present for 5-10 minutes. When he finally acknowledged us, he apologized and told us he was not trained on the register and his "boss" left for about 20 minutes. I asked him if he could put our order in anyways and I could either give him cash or by the time the food was ready, his boss would be back... He was really nice, but acted extremely uncomfortable and afraid of doing that... So, we went down the street to Portobello Cafe and had an amazing & relatively quick lunch.

The burger and fries were ok. Red Robin is better. The staff and service here are laughable. Every other burger place known to mankind brings your fries with the burger. No, not here! I was a first time customer, so when the fries were brought to me without the burger (which arrived 10 minutes later), I was confused and asked one of the employees. She gave me a dirty look and said, "Thats the way we do it here." After dinner, I decided to try a milk shake. No one behind the counter. I waited, and waited. Various employees saw me waiting and did nothing, so I walked out. Youve lost a first time customer.

No I havent eaten here but after watching the transformation on CNBC The Profit, I will definitely swing by my next trip to the city (I know its in SI). I can only be polite to give it 4 stars by visuals. To the management team, the fries look delicious but is there any option/alternative to create a new menu item besides the baked potato bar like BAKED tater tots (see Food Evolution website) or baked fries? Even if you have to charge more because of added time it takes to bake over frying, for health reasons Id pay it. Pls let us all know. Steve W. (Rockland County NY)

We paid $22.00 for two burgers and one Fries and one soda. This was a little pricey but the best fries and burgers I ever had. Make sure you try the Orange Cream Soda. The staff is so friendly it becomes funny. There is someone coming around every five minutes to offer service. For the owners: There are three dead shrubs in the perimeter of the parking lot that should be replaced. There should be a Standard Burger sign on the front so traffic going North can see it.; An Ice Cream Pop Up would also be helpful.

Expect to pay about $10 per burger with fries. The service is good and you order your burger temperature specific. Ive been here about 4 times and burgers were always great, the bad part is theres never anyone working in the milk shake section, but finally when a worker pops up the milk shakes are great. Ive never tried their baked potatoes....but I like the concept of selecting my own potatoe. Never knew this place existed till I saw it on an episode of "the profit."

Ive been driving past Standard Burger for several years. I stopped back in again tonight after eating here a few nights back for the first time. They offer truly great burgers, with numerous toppings cooked to pure perfection! The also offer a soda fountain with real sugar dida, fries and homemade potato chips, and as an added bonus, also have an ice cream bar. The staff is outgoing, friendly making this a great ace to stop in and eat, check it out, youll be glad you did.

Ill tell you this. I visited with my wife, my mom and her husband. My mom never finishes burgers--unless they are delicious and delicious they were. The Yuca fries and the accompanying sauce were amazing. The burgers had the perfect amount of fat hence the great flavor. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars is because the milk shakes were too watery. Too much milk--not enough ice cream.
