Walked in by myself. Although the host was more interested in what one of the waiters had to say he accommodated me with no reservation. I requested a glass of red wine. The waiter was nice but apparently they are in a dry county and you must bring your own wine. OK I ordered tea,I believed the waiter was being nice by bringing a bottle of white wine and said it was left over from a party. Then as the restaurant fills I see him pouring red wine in the glass of others!? When asked about it I just get a simple smile. Food.: ordered the escargot. they must have there own garden in the back because I tasted dirt on several bites. (no joke). For the main course I ordered lamb. It was cooked right, and tasted great but clearly small and not plated as well. (Broken lamb bone appeared as if I was getting leftovers). Will not return. I send a lot of my employees to a training center near by. I will suggest the same to them.

One of the best restaurant I have ever been to. I traveled and tasted food in more then 30 countries. This chef offers true culinary joy. Amazing service. Best foie grass. Only Best Paris restaurants can compete. I love the place . Old building, flowers ,doorways lighting is perfectly matched . Its a true gem. Dont miss it. Thank you so much for keeping it authentic and so charming. Jamie Knott is a sole of the place.

I love this place! My husband and I had the 4 course tasting menu. The Chef gave us the choice to have two separate sets so in total we sampled 4 different appetizers, 2 different main courses and 2 different desserts, Everything was outstanding, but the highlight of the evening was the scallops! They just melted in your mouth. The place, the service and the food were amazing. We will definitely go back!

This highly-rated restaurant did not live up to its hype. Ambiance and service were very good, but the food was disappointing. My pork loin was overdone and was served with a bland gravy. My wifes steak was grizzly and she left over half of it. Other courses werent stellar either. At these prices I expected a better meal.

Anthony, the maitred was incredibly welcoming and the service followed suit. The food was excellent with portions on the smallish side, but packed with flavor. Ambience is unique and my wife and I enjoyed our upstairs seat overlooking the Saddle River, imagine that?! Great experience and will be back!

I had one of the most disappointing New Years Eve dinners this past weekend. The restaurant never made us feel welcome, the staff was young and not trained, and the manager was all over the place. We brought over $1,000 worth of wine to have it be fumbled around... Not worth the rating it gets imo.

I went with a friend for lunch and was APPALLED that they added on the tip (20%) and the check included a line for additional tip. It was actually totally insulting. Since when does a restaurant add a tip for a party of two??? and then have the nerve to ask for more. Very, very bad form.

This place will forever be a staple of my dining experience! If you are looking for a night for any occasion, this is the place to come. It is BYOB so bring your best bottles. The host and staff greet you and treat you like youre the only table in the room. Sit back and enjoy the experience.

this is one of those "experience" places, so romantic, take your time with dinner, and BYO, they treat whatever wine you bring as if it were a $100 bottle, it can be hard to get a reservation so plan way ahead, and enjoy! We love the Saddle River Inn!
