Today I went to the Berkeley diner for breakfast with my boyfriend. When we got there, we had to wait a while to be seated because there was only one waitress on staff. When she finally sat us down, she gave us menus and left. She didnt come back to us for about 10 minutes. Then she asked what we wanted to drink, which was just water, and she left for another 10 minutes. Keep in mind the diner wasnt even that busy at the time. Looking around, there were only about 3 other people there . All the other tables had dirty dishes on them. Our menus have been closed for a while and she still hasnt taken our order yet. Finally, she came back to us to take our order. The food was mediocre. Our waitress was an older Spanish woman and she was not that friendly. Diners are usually busy in the morning time. Having one waitress on in the morning is absolutely ridiculous and the place was dirty and a complete mess. I was very disappointed with my service today and I will not be returning.

WOW! The interiors are so clean! The food is delicious and the portion size for the foods are pretty big compared to other diners that Ive been to. The owner told me that this place opened in 2016 so theyre new in town. They also mentioned to me that they werent related to the old Bayville Diner people. I thought that the previous owners simply changed the diner name and reopened but nope, this is a new diner with new looks and menu. I recommend everyone to try this place out, you wont be disappointed. They also ask for feedback via their website so if anyone has complaints, they should post them on the website form. Congrats to the owner of this awesome diner! Ill be back frequently :)

I eat breakfast here quite regularly when in town. The outside appearance of the little diner belies the inside experience. We never need to to wait for seating (a plus with an impatient party) and although the food is the same eggs and pancakes available up-and-down the street (but certainly well made), the prices are reasonable and the meat sides are generous. Always a solid experience and value so far.

Very good place to eat especially if your looking for good food. theres food for anyones taste buds and they are cooked very well usually dont like diners but this place is amazing will be going again soon

Service was good and the prices were great. Usually not a fan of diners at all but this one was the rare case where it was an enjoyable experience. Food was delicious. Definitely will be back.

Really great food, I thought It was a bit expensive for the pancakes until I got them. They were great and MUCH bigger than I expected. Great service and staff there, and amazing food.

Find another diner. Just picked up a order to go. Burnt toast, burnt hash browns, omelette was ok. No syrup for French toast. Very nice people but not good food.
