I hate to do this to people from my country but enough was enough. I went there with my fiance on thurs night and I had ordered a chicken club and ordered mousaka for him. After 25 min the waitress came back and told me "we are out of mousaka, do you want pasticio?" I told her no problem. My food came 5 minutes later, cold and dry and the french fries were dripping in cold grease. No lie, I was so hungry I just ate my club while my fiances food didnt come out until 15 minutes later. When it arrived I was in shock. It was a pile of pasta thrown onto a "Greek" salad. I was told it came with fries and she said yes and then never brought them. When I finally caught her attention I mentioned that Pasticio is made with a Bechamel sauce and not drenched in red sauce. It is meant to look like lasagna almost in morphology. She also told me "no, it doesnt come with fries" this time. I asked to speak to the owner hoping a fellow Greek would come out. Nonetheless, some wannabe soprano walks over with an attitude "IS THERE A PROBLEM HERE?" I kindly explained that the pasticio wasnt what it was supposed to be like and he told me "THIS is how its done here." He walked away rudely and I knew there was no point in arguing with someone who doesnt come from a background in the restaurant business or is Greek. I just hope this place gets better help and I truly am upset that I wont be returning to this place.

First, it would be nice if they would pick up the phone when I want to place a takeout order. The workers are rude, the service is slow, and the food is way over priced. I thought it was a Greek restaurant, but there wasnt one Greek working there....the kitchen staff are Mexican, the waiters/waitresses are trailer trash, and the manager is a Soprano wannabe. You want a great priced, delicious meal, you are better off driving over the Outerbridge and going to Jose Tejas. Now that is an excellent, great priced place to eat. Oh, I forgot the "free parking"....hahahha on New Dorp Lane? There are meters everywhere if you can find an empty spot. Or do you mean that tiny lot in the back that is always filled? What a joke.

HORRIBLE PLACE. DONT GIVE THESE DISRESPECTFUL MEN SERVICE. I came in with my service and a worker yelled loudly across the place that I could not bring her in because they man was allergic I told them she was a service dog it was absolutely terrifying and embarrassing how they treated me. Then said very loudly to call the police I have extremely horrible social anxiety and when they said that I went into an attack I told them it was against federal law to do what they were doing and as I went to leave after being attacked and being put through such a thing I grabbed the Wong door flustered and panicked so they made fun of me joking wrong door and it was so humiliating

Nothings changed since theres a new owner I ordered a bacon and cheese omelet this morning came out burnt with a side of breakfast sausage they were burnt too. They offered to cook me new eggs but I didnt have time plus if you ever read Kitchen Confidential you know never to eat food from a restaurant after you sent it back. This all cost me $20. It seems that the illegal aliens they have cooking in the back just dont know how to cook!dont go here!The gall of the waitress to actually carry out bad food to me it was just another shock to me I just cant understand why she would have served me that food.

This place is now under new ownership and known as the New Dorp Diner Cafe. The new ownership which understands the need for a delicious diner in the area! Try it once and youll see the menu is completely changed with everything now freshly made. Fresh ingredients make the dishes you once knew 100x better. It is now my favorite diner in Staten Island

Just got back from eating dinner there. Servers are very pleasant but food just so so. I ordered a hot open turkey dinner my dad had French toast. My turkey dinner was not worth $17.00 was not even piping hot. Bill was $35.00 for for above with a coffee and soda. Will more than likely not be eating there again.

service is rude, slow, and care more about themselves. ordered a pizza burger medium. I got a burger with mozzarella cheese no sauce. after I was done the waiter came over with a bowl of sauce and apologized. tables were sticky had to ask for a refill on coffee because we were ignored

Ive lived in the neighborhood since 92 and have enjoyed the once in awhile treat of breakfast at Mikes place, first with my wife, then kids. Now with the kids grown up, my wife and I still enjoy coming here for breakfast, the diner is always clean and staff friendly.

Ordered a delivery and it didnt arrive until an hour and a half later!! Food came cold no condiments and when u order a Greek chicken wrap with Xtra white sauce and it arrives and theres nothing Greek about it really? Chicken lettuce tomato wheres the greek?

got nachos and only about a fifth of them had cheese and wanted to charge me for more cheese when the dry chips and small amount of cheese were already 12$. my friends had french fries and they were extremely cold, mushy, and, uncooked

My friends and I come to Mikes all the time and I personally stop in to pick up dinner during the week when Im not cooking at home. The staff are all very nice and accommodating. The great chefs here make great food!

Order out 2 times a month ..... mikes place does not disappoint ...... food is always fresh and tasty and hot on arrival ..... will continue to order from mikes place ..... AWSOME!!!

The food is ok, like at most Mikes Places. Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad either. The servers are friendly and nice, helpful too. But theres no...pizzaz about the place.

Overpriced and rude workers. I ask for sweet potato fries they give me normal fries. I waited 2O minutes for my sweet potato fries. NEVER GOING BACK
