Absolutely disgusted by the customer service and product put out by this bakery. When ordering I spoke with Karen and told her what we wanted for my daughters birthday. A simple wink face 9 inch cake with raspberry filling and a dozen chocolate poop emoji cupcakes. The cake appearance was so unprofessionally done. The fondant was wrinkled and had holes in it. The fondant eyes had been pieced together. I had told her I didnt want the happy birthday message written on the cake and she told me she would write it on the plate...guess what she wrote it ON the cake! The cake itself tasted like it was frozen, there was hardly any raspberry filling and the misporportioned bow wasnt even pasted on the cake and fell off while trying to take the cake out of the box. As for the cupcakes...the frosting had so many air bubbles in them and the cupcake itself was so dense. We ended up throwing away the cake and cupcakes because no one liked it or would eat them! A complete waste of $85!!! And yes these issues were brought to Karens attention when they were being picked up and it was stated there was NO WAY they could fix them and I "couldnt get a refund" because I already paid for them in advance. So basically I feel like she said "screw you". I would say if even kids wouldnt eat the cake or cupcakes there is something majorly wrong, because my daughter and her friends had no problems pounding down the cupcakes I bought for her class from Walmart! At least Walmart and wegmans make great products and if youre not satisfied they take care of you! I expected excellence and instead got an unprofessional beginner job done. Definitely not worth the money put into it!!

Weve ordered SEVERAL cakes and cupcakes from here over the last few years (weddings, birthdays, referrals etc). We had a great experience at first, but as time went on, orders were wrong, not done on time, and/or designs didnt meet expectations. When we tried to have a conversation with CBK about how we had been disappointed with the last couple of orders, we were told she didnt want to deal with customers that were unhappy, and asked us not to order from her anymore. Pretty sad considering we thought we had developed a relationship with a local baker that we could count on. Shes lost her touch now that the business has gone to the next level. Go somewhere else.

Cakes by karen have been making my cakes for 7 years now. I absolutely Loveeeeeeee the cakes, the staff and especially the owner Karen! They are pleasant , patient and full of great ideas to create the desert you desire for your special event. I recieve 5 star customer service and quality from this company! The cakes are nothing less than Stunningly Beautiful! I recommend everyone to this bakery, believe me you will not be disappointed! I am a party planner and I use Cakes by Karen for all of my events and the guest go crazy over the cake!!! They are delicious and reasonably priced! Thanks and tell Karen that I sent you! !!!!

Disappointed from the taste and look, it was not up to par from the customers request. Cake did not taste fresh either. You let a customer leave unhappy - did not even try to fix the situation or offer a credit of some sort. Without customers, there would be no business... keep that in mind when you dont fulfill your customers needs. If youre going to pride yourself for being on television, then be on your A game. I hope you can learn from this before disappointing and ruining someone elses special day.

This bakery is amazing!! I have ordered several gorgeous cakes , holiday cupcakes, personalized cookies, cake pops, pies!!! Always professional always exactly what I ordered !! Everything that comes from this bakery tastes amazing!! I will continue to use this bakery for all my parties !! People always complement the desert at my parties I owe it all to cakes by Karen!!!

Horrible experience with Cakes by Karen. It suprises me now that I look, she hasnt had a positive review since 2014. So sad, that kidsounds wouldnt eat the cute cupcakes because they were nasty and parents thought the cake was the worse they ever ate. Truly a waste of $80 for our hard working daughter Christina Delorenzo.

Karen is excellent! I ordered a wedding cake for a small, casual wedding of about 75 people. The cake was absolutely beautiful, exactly what we discussed, delivered on time and delicious-everyone loved it. I would absolutely recommend Karen for any event, she is a pleasure to work with and provides top quality products.

Horrible. Wasted money. Tasted DISGUSTING. box cake is much better. literally went right in the dumpster. But it looked like a 5 year old did it too.Take your business else where. Not to mention she deletes bad comments to make it appear better on her end as well as having people write "good " things to boost up business

For our rehearsal dinner on Sept. 11th, I ordered a Grooms Cake for my now husband.#1, it was the most delieious cake I have EVER had. #2, It was decorated beautifully with piano keys around the side, golf tees and ball on top along with bowling pins! I could Not have been happier with that purchase!

The absolute best in the Rochester area. Ive gone here for cakes, cupcakes, cake pops and cookies and all have been wonderful. Its a true gift to be able to offer great tasting confections with unparalleled artistry at a fair price, and Cakes by Karen has that gift and then some. Highly recommended.

Cakes were very creative and done beautifully!! Cakes were moist and delicious!!! Chocolate cake was the favorite. Everyone wanted to know where I got the cakes. Everyone was very impressed by the design of the cakes as well as the great taste! Cakes also very reasonably priced. Thank you Karen!

My friend gave me some of these cupcakes as a gift and oh my God soooooooo good! I come here often now and love the almond, strawberry, and red velvet cupcakes!! And the buttercream frosting is amazing! You have to check out if your in the area!
