Food take a long time to come out of the kitchen (okay them make everything fresh) My guess is they could have a substantial quantity of food pre cooked and not lose any quality in the products. The sides and vegetables are better than the main course. The food whilst acceptable is not special Generally bland, cooked well but under seasoned. Food I feel I could have cooked my self and had similar results. The owners and staff are very nice and friendly but seem to not be addressing the obvious problem with the speed of the kitchen. Even stunningly slow in delivering on a simple request for hot water for tea took about 12 minutes to come to the table after ordered. Maybe some people like spending 2 hours at a restaurant for average food but not for me. All in all I would go back and eat there again but only if invented by someone. I do not think I would think of going back on my own accord. I would not recommend eating here if you are elderly you might expire before you food arrives.

This is the best quality and most authentic family style Italian food you can get. No plate is compromised by being served in larger portions. Growing up with homemade Italian food makes one loathe family style Italian restaurants, but La Spezia is clearly a wonderful exception, and I highly recommend this place to any family or group of people looking for family style Italian food.

Excellent wait staff right off the bat. Had a half order of stuffed mushrooms (6) perfect tender mushrooms. Angel hair, broccoli garlic and oil half order again, huge and perfectly cooked. Another pasta dish, Paccheri Del Giorno was thick with a variety of mushrooms..again a half order that easily feeds two...great meal.. Good glass of Merlot.... Will be back..

Excellent food with good service. Dario, the owner aims to please in a big way. Their veal is outstanding - weve had it many different ways and have never been disappointed. This is a family-style restaurant, that does not take reservations. Great addition to the neighborhood!

The food was excellent however it is family style suggest you go with at least six people another problem it is an extremely noisy restaurant there is absolutely no insulation
