Yummy! Mexican is my favorite. Ive been going to Cafe Mayan in Wappingers and Mayan Cafe in Fishkill for years (Both excellent but a little farther for me to travel.) Avocados has a nicer ambiance and it is quieter. When they first opened, my experience there was not great. A couple other people have told me the same thing. However, they must have gotten it together because I have been there numerous times since and it has been fantastic. I had a 20 person party there in Dec 2014 and it went off without a hitch. (Chris really took care of us and everyone had a great time.) Have read other reviews and I have never had a problem with the service and it has always been fast.

We ordered the skirt steak with rice and refried beans, the avocado burrito and the pork carnitas. The skirt steak was tender and flavorful. My son ordered it medium-rare. My husband had the avocado burrito, which was good. Unfortunately, my carnitas were dry and not seasoned at all. When I brought this to their attention, they gladly replaced it with my second choice. They apologized and made sure that my second entree was to my liking. Great business etiquette!

It was a good thing I was REALLY hungry. My Carne Asada that was supposed to be medium rare was killed. Guacamole was mostly onions, very little avocado. Ironic since that is the name of this place. Rice was dry and tasteless. Prices are too high. We just moved near here and were looking for a Mexican restaurant to replace our old favorite. This was sadly not even close.

Not worth it. Way overpriced. Slow service, (and I dont mean waiting to be seated, I mean waiting 10 minutes for our waitress to notice that our drinks were gone, and another 10 minutes to get refills...) Food was edible...thats about it. And frankly for the price I paid, it should have been A LOT better

This place is awesome! The staff is great and the food is so fresh. I havent had food this good since I worked in a kitchen in NYC and the staff would make us our meals that werent available to anyone else. When you go, get a torta you will not be disappointed!

The service is horrible, the waitress are rude, and when i order to go..... checking the prices that they have online and you go to pick up the overprice everything! not worth it, you need to be serious in a business and not change your prices whenever you want!

Order steak fajitias and when it came to my table it set the fire alarm off. Tastes burnt and the portions were small. For 18.95 there should have been more servings. Customer service was poor. Will not recommend my family or friends to eat here.

I did not like the service. The waiter was rude and not friendly. The food was fair. I had better Mexican food. Wanted to try a different Mexican restaurant and was disappointed. Going to stay with my favorite place- Margaritas Resturant!!!

rice is amazing and the Portobello fajitas are just perfect. The guacamole was a little chunky with tomatoes but it tasted great. Lets maybe have a talk about these Mexican romance novel covers hanging on the walls. Made my day.

Some things were good. Some were just okay. Miles more flavorful than cafe Maya. Maya guacamole is better though. There is room for improvement here, but Ill never step foot in Maya again. This place Ill check back with.

"Stuffed pineapple" was not good clams and cheese in a fruit. Idk what I expected it to taste like I had to send it back. "Avocado fries" was weird but good. Staff and atmosphere was nice
