This past Saturday (12/6/14) my wife and I decided to get a fast meal from Amicis. We have been there before and the food is good with a reasonable price. But this past visit changed my entire view. We ordered Mozzarella sticks for an appetizer. For our entrees my wife ordered a pepperoni roll and i ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. It took about ten minutes for our mozzarella sticks to come out. Nothing wrong with that. But a few seconds later my sandwich came out. Strange how an entree comes out quickly right after the appetizer. So my wife and i start eating the mozzarella sticks. Ill admit they are good. About 7-8 minutes we finished the appetizer. We realized that the pepperoni roll didnt come out. Meanwhile my sandwich is still on the table getting cold. So the gentlemen i am will not eat until my wifes plate arrives. Five minute passes....ten minutes passes...FIFTEEN minute passes, still no Pepperoni roll. The guy at the counter sees that i am not eating my sandwich and says nothing to me. I guess he didnt have any concerns. I asked one of the guys at the counter how much longer for my wifes pepperoni roll. "A few mintues was his reply." Finally one the guy says i forgot to make the roll. Now knowing that we were waiting for quite some time why wouldnt he ask if we still wanted the roll before he made it. Finally the roll comes out. But now my food is cold. I sent it back into the kitchen to get reheated. Comes out a few mintues later but my bread is hard and the napkin underneath was sticking to it. I didnt want to it eat. We go to pay the bill and the owner charges us FULL price. He didnt even want to compensate by not charging us for our drinks. A simple gesture like that would have gone a great way. And to think he would have said sorry. I would not go to that place because the people there do not care about their customers. The owner has bad business ethics.

I went into this pizza shop not expecting a lot, as it was very small. However, the smell when I walked in was very intoxicating. I ordered a slice of tomato and garlic, then inquired about the pizza on the top shelf. The pizza was square but the dough wasnt thick like sicilian (which I dislike; if I wanted bread, Id eat toast) and had nice thick slices of onion and tomato. The gentleman waiting on me (owner or manager) got very excited about the slice, chicken pesto. He said it was "amazing...the best...". At that point, I was sold! Honestly, the tomato slice was the absolute best slice of pizza Ive ever had! The dough was thin, crisp on the bottom, cooked but soft on the top, and the mixture of flavors was amazing. The chicken pesto slice was so good that I ate both in one sitting (Im a small woman and one slice is filling enough, but the anticipation was killing me). If youre looking for a truly delightful slice of pizza, look no further. After reviewing the menu, I discovered that they make anchovy bread; most people hate them, but not me! The gentleman behind the counter went on to describe the bread and make some other suggestions up my alley. He was right on the money. Im looking forward to expanding my horizons, but right now pizza is my addiction. :)

To echo the other reviews, this place is a hidden gem of italian cuisine and the specialty pizzas. My family has been coming to Amicis for over 20 years and we are continually surprised with the level of quality and taste this food has. Amicis is hidden in a small strip mall outside the Palisades mall and worth seeking out. Looks like a pizza joint, but walk to the back of the restaurant for the real food and sit-down dining. Never too crowded because its been the best kept secret. Now its too good to not share the love. Real fresh italian food, great prices and a great family who run the restaurant. Some of my favorite menu items are the bruschetta, grandma pizza & specialty pizzas and the chicken parm is killer. Portions are so large you wont leave hungry. Youd be crazy to get this far in your food search and not go there. Period.

10/10 Service Delivery When I ordered, thirsting for a lovely pizza, I was greeted by a staff with the voice of an angel. Under her gracious recommendation, I ordered their Stuffed Italian Pizza because I was feeling that I should treat myself. The delivery came within the hour, and I met a friendly and patient staff who was patient as I fumbled to get my pennies. Gotta pay the change, ya know. The meat was savage. Savagely DELICIOUS. It was definitely worth my $25.

Stopped in here after my sons hockey game over at the palisades center rink. The seating area was a little small, with 3 large tables that seats 4 a few smaller tables in the side that seat 2. The food was pretty good, nothing better or worse than youd find at the mall. Worth checking out of youre looking to get away from the crowds at the mall food court.

We were in Nyack for 10 weeks and we ordered from here at least once a week (most of the time it was 2-3 times). They have the best value and best Italian food we have had in a long time. We always had delivery and their staff both when ordering and delivering was fantastic. Its great to be home but we truly miss the food and staff.

Ok food, dirty bathroom made me lose my appetite horrible smell and very dirty, as well there were two very annoying kids two boys and they kept walking out and in and the boys names were Ricky and Vinny so far as i know i heard them outside the pizzeria throwing what looked like a white plastic harmonica and yelling each others names.

Food was excellent. A little crowded so service was lacking. Food was not very hot when it came out. Im giving 4 state bc it was Delicious. Asked 2 times for a beverage and got up to get it myself after 5 minutes. Overall tho i enjoyed the experience and would return. Not on a busy weekend tho.
