Let me begin with stating that I was rudely "welcomed" by a tall middle aged asian lady with short hair; Ms. Sourpuss frowned all the way to our table. The idea of the indoor village is fantastic, but there are holes in the ceiling, patched over. There is dust and wires all over the walls and ceiling. After being seated, my family and I realized how hot is was inside; we actually broke into a sweat; talk about cheap owner.... I dont know how they make sushi in a hot environment, doesnt that lead to food poisoning? The servers were sweating a lot, which is gross. Received our drinks, basically the whole cup was filled with Ice, the drink just filled between the spaces between the ice. So cheap with the drinks. No refills! $2.00 for a coke in a small glass, +$2.00 for every refill. Drinks were poorly made, blue hawaiian was green.... ? Pineapple was brown, cherry was wrinkly.... Then, a waiter came, didnt even introduce himself, cuts me off as Im asking a question about a dish. Not to forget, our chinese server had his underwear coming out the side his pants. He was also sweating profusely. I could see him on his phone in the back room where the rest of the servers were folding napkins. He would stand in the back room and look at other tables making fun of other customers. Snickering with the other servers in the back room. The two sushi guys were eyeing women walking in and laughing. Wonder what they were talking about while they were staring at my girlfriends bottom. Very rude, no tact, no customer service, food was good though; but waaaaaaaaay over priced. The pictures of food they have on their website isnt even of their food!!!! The "rainfall lounge" is a sad joke. Yada yada yada yada, we finished our meals, and our server brought out hot teas, and a coffee.... I went to pour the coffee from the french press into the black cup, and what crawls over my hand from inside of the cup, a small Cockroach. That was absolutely disgusting. I asked for another cup when the waiter walked past, and he rudely responds, "Whats wrong with the glass you had??" I said there was a roach in it, he then apologizes, and takes the cup, talking to his other Philipino partner in their language and shaking his head while pointing his fingers at us like we were the ones who did it. I just paid and left. I will never return. I strongly recommend that you avoid this outdated horror.

We drove into Newburg for a wedding this past Labor Day Weekend. We saw all the great reviews for Yobo and decided to give it a go. ATMOSTPHERE -- Whatever, I dont reaelly mind this soooo much, but it is super OVER the top with every type of Asian decor imagineable. I wasnt impressed by the sushi "bar" area next to the hallway for the bathrooms...it looked like a deli counter. The dark atmosphere brought me back to Benihana in the 1980s. I want a brighter room to eat in,,,overall? just a cheesy look CLEANLINESS -- with it being so dark, I felt it was a little dusty and not as clean as it could be. SERVICE -- while everyone seemed nice...we barely sat down before the waiter came over to ask us our order. We asked for a couple of minutes, and I think he literally gave us TWO before he asked again. We had various waiters, drink waiters, runners, etc...that we were constantly interrupted and seemingly rushed out...although there was no one waiting for our table.... DINNER -- Sushi, the sushi was "okay" that is it.. The same level fo sushi can be purchased at your supermarket for lunch. What upset me, was the mildew flavor on the pickled ginger. I LOVE pickled ginger and usually eat it after every bite of sushi, but after one bite, I realized something was off... After the Sushi my husband & I each got a dish. I got the Thai Firecracker Seafood. The description sounded wonderful, but it was basically a BIG bowl with a few shrimp and a it was in a gooey, thick cornstarchy sauce. I didnt eat it. My husband ordered Sai Woo Duck. We ate most of this b/c it was the least offensive and we were hungry. But the duck was charred on the outside and super dry....it was difficult to eat. That night around 230 AM I awoke sick with what I can only assume was food poisoning...approximately 6 1/2 hours after we ate. The rest of the weekend I felt sick and "off" anytime I looked at food....it was a horrible experience. Not sure why everyone thinks it is such a gem...I get better food from my local delivery, why go to a restaurant to get sick?

The St. Valentines Day Massacre: The evening started by a non-smiling greeting by Miss Sourpuss. She never smiled from the time she greeted us until she showed us to our table. We were seated next to a blaring music speaker where the loud music made it impossible to talk. I asked to be moved and were. After the woman who was the evenings entertainment started singing, we realized they didnt move us far enough away. She was awful..off key...monotonus and did not fit in at all to any type of romantic atmosphere. Where did they find her? Id rather listen to chalk on a blackboard. We ordered the beef dim sum as the appetizer. Luckily, I looked at them after cutting them because along with the beef ones, there were shrimp ones there also. I have a fish allergy and if I ate that piece of dim sum, the outcome would have not been good. The Pad Thai that my wife ordered had a very weird taste to it. My Shechaun Beef (I asked for no spice) tasted fine but It appeared the kitchen staff added peppers which was not an ingredient listed in the menu..and I dont care for peppers. The peanut butter explosion we had for dessert was very good. Little did we know that the dessert would be aptly named later on in the evening. Ten minutes after leaving, we both developed stomach cramps. We barely made it home when both of us had EXPLOSIONS of another kind for the next two hours. I still had severe stomach cramps the next day. Now I have written over 250 published restaurant reviews and I dont think our problem was caused by food poisoning but I believe it was caused by some type of unsanitary conditions or improper food handling. I also want to mention I emailed YOBO within two hours of returning home. I included my email address and phone number and no one was courteous enough to contact me. I guess they dont care that much about their customers. Steve

This is a great treating restaurant for people looking for a variety of food. My husband and I went on a Sunday evening, arriving around 5pm. There was a fair number of families dining, but we were able to be seated right away. It was slightly noisy because we were seated next to a large party; usually the sound is fairly mellow otherwise. Service: All of the staff we encountered were pleasant and smiling. Orders were taken promptly, and drinks and food made their way to us in a reasonable time. Dishes were almost magically removed as soon as they became empty. We also received complimentary plum wine with the check, which was a nice touch, but Im not sure if thats standard. Food: The ling yung (sweet lotus buns) are a great appetizer for someone who likes sweets. The orange duck was tasty, as was the chocolate tart. My husband enjoyed his egg roll, hot and sour soup, and bulgogi. Drink: The bourbon sour was good, although on the sweet side for a bourbon based beverage. The pear blossom (which I ordered because I like lychee) wasnt as delicious, but I still enjoyed the lychee fruit. My dessert came with complimentary tea, which was enjoyable. We received two tiny glasses of plum wine with the check. Plum wine is very sweet, and a personal favorite, so this was great!
