Im not sure where to start with this review but perhaps i should with the poor service and how we waited 20 minutes for hot tea and then perhaps how multiple groups that were seated after us received all of their food before us and our dining experience took an hour and a half for 2 bowls of their chicken Ramen. It was very frustrating and the waitress just kept telling us that we were getting our food every 10 minutes. If it wasnt so cold out we would have left which would have been the better choice because not soon after we received our ramen we realized they must be mixing utensils in the kitchen because my daughters ramen was super spicy, too much for her to handle and that was tge basic non spice Ramen. I tasted it and immediately had to grab my water. My Ramen came 10 minutes later and I had the pork with the same issue. The waitress told us this was not supposed to be this way and would return it but I was too hungry and asked for more water. I wanted to try their berry sake and it was delivered in a small can. It said shake well and I did for a bit but when I poured it into the little shot glass, a gelatin ooz wabbled out like flubber. Could this get any worse? Well, yes because by now my daughter complained her stomach was upset and went to the bathroom. She must have been gone for 15 minutes until she returned and didnt look so well so I decided to take her home. Upon arrival my stomach was girgurling and I had to rush into the bathroom. For the next 40 minutes I was in and out of the bathroom with explosive diareah. I then asked my daughter if she had an issue and embarrassed she confided in me yes that was why she took so long at the restaurant. Our fun dinner and movie night was a total miserable disaster.

This is my first time at Ichiba and overall the food was good! I came here with a group of friends so I was able to try a good amount of dishes :) we ordered duck bun, poke bowl, spicy miso ramen, kimchi fried rice, and the chasu don ( braised pork over rice) My F-A-V-O-R-I-T-E dish was the spicy miso ramen. ( make sure you get tamago * poached egg* & spicy takana on the side!!!) The soup was so good ---its not the typical "miso" flavor.. its ox tail and bone marrow broth which i really liked~~~ The noodles were cooked perfectly too~~ and they actually give you a generous amount of noodles. Ive been to many other ramen places where they dont give "enough" noodles but here was the right amount * Oh! and if you are a FANNN of siracha , they have this other yellow siracha sauce that ive never seen before and its kinda a game changer~~ you must try it!

Great service. Great food. Wish there were more vegetarian options but i still wouldve have chosen the matcha shoyu. It had a soft matcha flavour with smokey undertones, with a little chilli paste it was perfect for me. The noodles were amazing. They were able to accommodate us when we asked for the kimchi fried rice without meat and it was amazing, it was the best combination of sweet and savoury. And the purple potatoe fries! They might be the best fries ive ever had. Definitely would come back!

Our gyoza and both ramen were delicious. Great broth on the tonkotsu and especially the spicy miso, excellent texture on both types of noodles. Our main disappointment was the kitchen closing/last call at 9:30, then being rushed to pay and leave (they even flickered the lights at us and another couple) BEFORE closing time of 10pm. This would be expected had this been a fast food joint (with fast food pricing to match). As a restaurant manager dining with someone also in the industry, we were appalled!

I re-visted this spot after finding out the chef and menu has changed. Since my last visit I had the Spicy Miso Ramen, Poke Don & Chicken Bun which were all flavorful. The broth is much better than before and I was loving the new items added to the menu. My waiter was very nice and let me know about the changes to the menu. Watch out Union Square, This one is about to take the name for the most interesting ramen with fantastic ingredients in NYC.

As you can see Ive tried a couple of their ramen soups, I can tell you that each one of these were super delicious. I feel like I can have these any time of the day or weather, theyre so good and fulfilling. The staff is really friendly, and Ive had other ramen soups but these are just perfectly seasoned, I do wish they had more vegetables but I go here at least once a week on my lunch breaks. Im so glad they opened near me!

Ichiba is a ramen, sushi and yakitori place with friendly service and ample seating. I really enjoyed the panko battered, fried vegetables, the sushi and the ramen. Sushi tastes fresh and is beautifully presented, perfect for grabbing a light dinner during warm weather. The ramen here is also lighter and less oily than most ramen places in the area. Glad to have Ichiba so close to good bars and lounges.

Food: - Shisito pepper skewer - peppers cut in half, pretty spicy - Pork belly - so-so - it was a bit drier than I preferred - Otofuku - not much octopus, but overall decent taste - Chicken broth ramen - it was okay, I would go with pork next time as I generally prefer it Good service Ambiance: - clean open space - Singer sewing machine tables are fun - simple, straight forward menu

Delicious broth! I am gluten free, so I was able to have them serve the broth with all the add-ins, only with rice instead of ramen noodles. We also got free soft boiled eggs, which wee delicious! The pork belly was amazing and melty without being overly salty. The wait was not terrible, and we got free tea to compensate for slow service.

Great atmosphere and super delicious ramen. Honestly the quality combined with the toppings and broth is so filling it is hard to finish, hence justifies the price. Usually I take the rest to go. Appetizers are really delicious too. Only qualm is the wait time for the food but you can see the kitchen/prep so you know theyre trying.

Usually a wait but not so bad. Staff is friendly. The ramen is pretty good and portions are huge. The lunch special of one free topping is a good deal too. Thankfully, everything seems to have flavor! Place has a nice vibe and though noisy, you can still have a nice conversation with a friend. Large groups? Probably avoid.

The space is awesome. Immediately upon entering, I noticed the large mural above the kitchen windows depicting ramen noodles as ocean. The tables resemble vintage sewing machine tables with large metal pedals that you can fidget with; they enable visitors seated across each other to ascend to a new level of footsie!

I go here with my wife every so often after work. Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The spicy miso ramen is the go-to for us, and sometimes we double the meat because the braised beef in the dish is really good. While you wait for the ramen, get the honey garlic edamame (theres enough for 2-4 people).

Recently updated menu and staff and it vastly improved. Conveniently located in Union square, spicy miso ramen made with oxtail bone marrow broth is a must order. Rich, flavorful and savory. Amazing. Other notable items are poke, kimchi fried rice and chasu-don(pork belly).
