I love the Hudson Diner - for two great reasons. The food is what I live for in classic diner food. Nothing disappoints! But - I want to express this experience. Two years ago, I had a minor freak home accident that escalated to the point where I could have lost my right leg below the knee. After surgery, I was sent home to spend 5-months in my living room chaise and foot rest, with nurses coming daily for dressing change. I ordered out a LOT from Hudson diner. Great! Id never been there, before. It was the late Manatus. When I was healed (both legs, intact) I went to Hudson Diner to enjoy eating there, instead of my chaise. When I said "hello" to the boss behind the counter, he said - "oh, youre Jordan from Perry Street! How lovely to see you here!" Id never met him. He recognized me by my phone voice! Does that qualify and validate the food at Hudson Diner? Yeah - you bet. Not only is the food - quintessential diner glory - but, its dispatched with the love, care and humanity that is also - just what a diner is supposed to be. Have no greater praise for any other NYC eating establishment. Bernardin, Per Se, Jean Georges - love ya - but ...... Now, I gotta ask them where they can put my ashes - discreetly placed, once I go to that other - hopefully Hudson Diner in Heaven. Id be in Heaven, there.............

After eating in NYC for the past 20 years, I finally had a terrible breakfast. Had it delivered. I live four blocks from the diner. It came disgustingly cold and slimy. Must had sat around for a while. Delivery took 35 minutes. Im use to no more than 20 for a diner. Eggs and home fries were under-cooked and tasteless. Pastrami sandwich was fatty. Complete waste of money. The only thing they got right was they remembered to bring ketchup, but who the hell needs ketchup when your fries are ice cold and soggy! I must have caught them at a bad time. How else could they possibly stay in business? Try at your own risk. But why would you when you there are so many other choices?

Great diner, neighborhood feel. Check this out: I lost my I-phone at the restaurant (dumb move, I know). After a week I realize that I left it at the Hudson Diner. I call the Diner, they pick up the phone quickly and they say, "Yes, we have your phone." I arrive in an hour and they give me my phone--no drama. I offer them $50 as thanks. They say, "No, have a great day. Glad you got your phone back." The Hudson Diner is a great neighborhood restaurant--great food and service- whose staff are gems. In me, they have a lifelong customer.

Only gave it three stars because it tasted fresh. However, if you order something custom, dont assume the price will be fair. I asked for pumpernickel sandwich with turkey and avocado. I got 2 small square slices of pumpernickel with 2 slices turkey and minimal amount avocado. Dude charge me 10 bucks. Before you order custom ask for price!

I like this place! the owners are real nice and the wait staff are quick and friendly. but i go there for the food. i have never had a bad meal and i go maybe 3x a week. i love their greek salad with grill chicken and they make great home made soups. their pricing is fair and many people say a good deal. highly recommend. 5 star.

Stopped here are had a Brisket sandwich. Very good. The french fries are amazing. Didnt need to dip them in anything. Pricing is reasonable like the diners in Jersey. Service is great, fast, waitress was a little loud but, extremely nice, assertive is the NY way so its not at all an issue for me. Will come back indefinitely.

The portions here are typical diner portions (meaning large), and larger than the diner on 6th Ave nearby (Waverly). I always get breakfast food at diners no matter the time of day. My go to is banana/chocolate chip pancakes and milkshakes. The location is quite and perfect for a lazy Sunday. Friendly staff.

Meh service, and they charge for refills (at a diner?!). The salad came with insipid iceberg lettuce, despite being described on the menu as field greens. May be better to stick to less challenging diner fare. On the plus side, they have Wi-Fi.

Waitress did not greet and say hello or anything...just dropped the menus on the table. She could use a customer service training. Also why are the prices so high??? Its a diner and the soup I had makes canned soup taste gourmet.

Had breakfast here and it was very good service, food, choice and ambience. Waffles were 5*. We sat outside and watched the Village go about its business. At $30 incl service we thought it was good value.

Sandra the waitress is just pure NYC dynamite. Absolutely everything you could expect, want, or love about an American Diner experience. Food was great and I was satisfied, but it is her I will remember.

The friendliest most attentive service for breakfast/brunch. Large quantities of hot fresh food. A Mimosa on Sunday....$12.95....are you kidding! No I am not. I cant wait to go back....see you Sunday!

This place was great. I had been walking forever on my way to the tower late one night and it was like an oasis for me. I had an omelet and a beer ;) Really good.

Fast service but sloppy dishes. They barely tried to plate the food decently. Decently priced for the neighborhood, and open late which is always good news!

Ordered a Belgian Waffle, it wasnt brought out, and then I was told they dont have waffles. Other food was good though, pretty expensive for a diner.

Basic diner in a neighborhood filled with small and expensive restaurant. Great for a no frills meal or a meal with kids.

A decent prized place in Greenwich. I got a bacon cheese burger, which was nice. Nothing more, nothing less.
