It was about 7am when I decided to come visit for some steak and eggs. Ive been to this place A LOT. My grandparents love it and its always been a fine spot for food but the service has always been meh. Either an attitude or just forgetful. So I expected that going in, but what I didnt expect was a bunch of racist women staring at me and fighting over who is going to take up my table....mind you its just me at a booth and maybe 2 people at their bar. So why did it take 20min for a server to come and take my order. With an attitude of course. For the 20min they were fighting... they didnt think I spoke English and would REFUSE to come to my table saying "Im not taking her, youre next up" "Im not in the mood for this" "can she even read the menu"....all within ear shot. They finally sent a busser to my table who was speaking Spanish to me.... when I dont speak Spanish. Immediately after they heard that then I finally got to place JUST my drink order. The server who came up to me said shes not my server but can get just my drink.. um okay. Then when she brought my Apple juice she proceeded to take my order anyway. I asked for my steak medium rare and got well done...had to fix it then when my second steak came thats when the other woman (who I watched just talk to a regular the entire time) said she was my server and asked if I needed anything else. I asked for the manager who I guess wasnt on duty... needless to say never going again. There was no reason for me to treated as such.

I would give them ZERO stars but it wouldnt let me. My family was eating there and the waitress spilled ice water all over the table and my relative. His clothing and his meal were soaked with ice water. When the waitress was done clean up he asked her if he could change his order since his meal was destroyed and he had only taken one bite. She said sure so he ordered a different item. When we left the manager or owner he is a large man actually had the nerve to charge my relative a $1.50 more for the different meal. He never apologized we couldnt believe it. We would have said something but the girl that spilled the water was afraid of him. We thought he would make her pay for it so we just let it go and will never go back. If you can avoid this place do it for your own good. I also went there a week before that event and ordered a burger. The meat was so over cooked I couldnt eat it, and when I asked to please have it recooked I was told that is how they must make all of them for health reasons. I am not sure if it under a new owner or new management but stay away because it has become a real dump. The food is not good and the management needs a lesson in customer service.

Ive never wrote a review before but the absolutely appalling experience I had at this place made me write this. After the rude manager sat us and the wretched waitress waited on us and barely even talked to us let alone filled our waters back up we received our bill which was wrong. My wife had ordered a simple grilled chicken wrap with just cheese. They decided that because they didnt have that on their menu they would charge us a five dollar "up charge". On top of charging us for extra condiments and anything else they could conjure up. I spoke with the wretched manager some old dude that barely spoke English and he told me they couldnt find a way to put it in their cash register so instead they charge me for a $14 meal. After politely arguing with him he told me to deal with it and I had to pay the bill even after I told him I would never come back and I would tell everybody I know never to go to the horrible wretched place. This was after he was yelling at the waitresses that worked there. I would steer clear of this place its horribly ran in the prices are ridiculous inandhe food isnt thatgreat

Friendly Staff, who easily adapt from customers with children to those with walkers. The staff is helpful and kind, they give good service without being intrusive. The food is good, hot and plentiful. I had wine with my steak, both of which were better than places that cost three times the amount. The desserts, which are all made there, are worth taking home if you dont have room to eat them there. My lemon meringue tart was fantastic. Not too tart or too sweet. I was impressed by how clean everything was, including the bathrooms. A clean place with good food that is reasonably priced, Well its on our list to visit at least twice a week I suggest you try it for yourself

We moved to the area in January, and we have found our favorite local diner/restaurant. We were immediately seated on a busy Saturday evening. Then we were offered adult beverages, but we chose decaf coffee instead. (Good alternative if you are driving.) The staff is attentive but not "in your face." We ordered chefs specials: seafood (fish, clam strips, shrimp and scallops) with three sides and my sister had macaroni with fish and two sides. Very tasty and basic fare. We boxed enough for a snack for later, and then we had dessert! Their cheesecake was very good, and I was not disappointed with my banana split sundae. We will be back.

Awful .In my greeck salad Fathers day 6.18.17 at 7:30 pm I swalled thick plastic object .Luckly I was able to spitt it out and a little piece still was left on my throat .I vomit it out in the ladies room. The waitress appologised .I was ok after I drank water and as we waited to check out We where chocked to even get a bill for my husband dinner. We werent charged for the salad but they charged me for the soda and the pitta bread. I am amaized they charged us at all. If I was an owner of that dinner I would have apologized and say no charge its on the house. I will not go back to the dinner. MSG Glenville n.y

2 stars. The food was good Diner quality. As a parent of two small children. Being charged for four childrens juices when they were half apple juice half water is quite frankly a disappointing move on their part. I did ask if there was an error but was obviously let down with the outcome. Fortunately, for us there are plenty of other diners in the area and we will take our business there. Again solid service. Solid food Desperate pricing policies and unfortunately that is the last impression that one is left with.

The wait staff are the kind where you know theyve worked there a long time. This is a great diner to visit at night if you want to catch up with a friend in relative quiet by the light of the rotating cake and pie display. Ive also been here when its fairly busy for weekend breakfast and never had a problem getting tasty food quickly. Places like this charge a little more because theyre running on older staff and classic diner values. Remember that this isnt the DMV, its a hometown diner.
