This place had the worst atmosphere. A so called authentic Asian ramen place that plays rap club music, has a sushi bar and does not serve sushi. A restroom that is broom closet sized, worn down, filthy, blood covered toilet seat. In one word the bathroom was atrocious. Now, in regards to the service. I have never been so insulted. The hostess, waitress, and cashier was all operated by a single lady. While the rest of the staff did nothing. Beverages. I ordered a cold green tea and ice water. The water was straight from the tap unfiltered and tasted disgusting like dirt. The green tea was far from drinkable. It tasted metallic and had no qualities that are expected of green tea let alone a beverage. Next, the appetizer. I ordered a serving of edamame. It came in a small bowl, its rim was coated with salt brine. The main dish, Tonkotsu Ramen, which was described word for word off their menu "Pork broth with a clean full-flavored, creamy texture. Cooked for hours on end! Served with Chashu (braised pork belly), scallion, bamboo shoots, sesame seeds, and seasoned hard-boiled egg" had none of the aforementioned promised ingredients. The broth that was served was an opaque grey liquid that tasted nothing like pork broth, it had a grimy texture. The braised pork belly looked greyer than the broth and half the meat was fat. The bamboo shoots came straight out of a package. There were no sesame seeds in sight and the hard-boiled egg was actually a soft-boiled egg. Within the time I consumed this meal to the time I reached home, which takes approximately ten minutes, everything I ate came right back up. And let me just add, the throw up that came out of my stomach settled better in the toilet than in my body.

Tl;dr food = good Service/staff = Horrible beyond belief Let me start by saying that the food was good. Not great especially for the price but warm and tasty. The staff acted friendly at the start though slow me and two friends were only ones in reasturant and it still took 10-15 minutes for my friend to get his soda with 2 people working plus what I imagine the owner to be there as well. Then the food came my friends recieved their ramen bowls about 10 minutes before I received my Oyako-don. We sat and enjoyed our food. Which was alright again nothing to amazing but it wasnt bad. We paid our checks after waiting close to 10 minutes to get them and left after paying. The reason for the one star comes from afterwards when our previous waiter harassed me on the street for "the real douchbag thing I did" which is on refrence for me leaving tip blank but leaving total as $25 on a bill that was $20.59. I was harassed on the street by my previous waiter for leaving a tip over 20% never have I been treated like this and no one ever should be treated like this. I advise other to stay away from this place until obvious change is made to the staff.

My boyfriend and I came here with a friend. The food was actually really good. The ramen was filling and the owner was very nice and attentive. The experience in the restaurant was good. But the only thing that makes me come here and leave a negative review is the fact that the waiter, as we were walking by the restaurant about 10 mins later, he came outside and called my boyfriend a douchebag and yell at him while we were walking. Funny thing is that my boyfriend left a very genrous tip and we were never rude to the waiter becuase we actually thought he was a good waiter. But he had the audacity to come and yell at my boyfriend. Maybe the owner should reevaluate his wait staff because harrasment is unacceptable. Will never go to this place again.

MY KIDS DID NOT USE THEIR CELLPHONES THE ENTIRE MEAL AND ACTUALLY TALKED TO ME AND MY WIFE AND HAD FUN! First time eating Ramen. I always thought it was like the stuff I ate in my dorm in college. I was blown away. I ordered the Curry Oxtail Ramen and my wife had the Spicy Rib tip Ramen. Both were amazing. Broths were flavorful. The meat was juicy and succulent. The noodles were perfect cooked and hugged the rest of the ingredients together nicely. We also ordered both the pork and chicken gyoza which my kids devoured. Great laid back atmosphere , staff and owner were very nice and friendly. It is a perfect place for a family dinner, a date night, or hanging out with a group of friends.

Never actually got to eat here. Walked in at 6 14 pm the Sunday before memorial day. We were immediately seated by the wait staff and thought "yes, Im ready for some good food". As we were looking over the menu, the waitress came back over and said that they were closing in a few minutes and that we couldnt order anything. So we leave, still hungry and disappointed with no explanation. Im not exactly sure what business closes at 6:15 when their posted hours on the door say "10:00." I could even understand if they had shortened holiday hours, but it would have been nice if that was posted somewhere. Then we would not have wasted our time.

I use to frequent this place and decided to stop by because I was in the area. Big mistake! Ordered the Tonkotsu and it came without the pork. Noodles were over cooked and the waitress felt as if she could touch me, repeatedly, for some reason. Oh and they only take cash, which is fine, but the sign that says this is at a level that only a child would be able to see it. Why have sign that bares the symbols of all the major credit cards posted in clear view but put the cash only sign where people would have to search for it?

NOT AUTHENTIC! we stopped by on the way to the city. There is nothing authentic about this place regarding ramen. We ordered tonkotsu and shoyu ramen. One was undercooked and the other overcooked. Soup tastes aweful: shoyu- tasted like sugar and shoyu without any sorts of dashi. Tonkotsu- I have no idea what it was made from. Bland and awful. Gyoza was over fried and was soaked in ponzu. They serve chocolate larva cake- what sort of "authentic" ramen place does that? I can go on but it was bad

The atmosphere was tight fitting but cozy and warm. The music was a nice change of pace some rap, slow r &b, pop. The waitstaff was friendly and the food was awesome We got the dumplings and Shoyu chicken. The broth, delicious, the chicken was seasoned wonderfully and overall the entire dining experience was excellent. It may not be Asian authentic, as far as atmosphere but the staff, food, location and price, you cant beat it. Ordering to-go tonight for my family.

The food and staff are great! I had the Jerk Ramen (highly recommended) and the iced tea. ALSO, it was pouring rain and I was in my work suit with no umbrella. The owner actually gave me a spare poncho so I could get to my car. Talk about customer service! I dont live nearly but Ill be eating here again any time Im in the area. I saw a review that said theyre cash only but that has since changed. Credit/debit cards are now accept. Enjoy!

They are the only game in town as far as ramen goes, but how do they fare? Theyre as authentic as you can get to a ramen shop this far out of the city. A ramen fix is just what you need for the winter blues, and anytime the other choices just dont cut it. They come real close to ramen houses in the East Village, and thats quite a feat! Love the play on words with their name but that aside, do check them out.
