This place has decent to mediocre food but is good for a quick bite. It however does not speak well to the restaurant that the wait staff doubled the %20 tip I left them on my credit card. I did not notice this until 2 days after visiting. When I called them to fix the problem they initially told me they couldnt do anything about it because I didnt save my receipt from the lunch. They recommended I call my bank to have them change the charge. This is complete and utter bs. It is completely in their power to find the transaction and refund it. I think this is probably a common practice there that they change the tip amounts to make a little extra money on the side. I will never be going to this restaurant again.

I decided to eat here for strictly Ramen and nothing else. I was let down. Terakawa s signature ramen is cheaper /and/ tastier than this places expensive ramen. The pork tasted old and chewy. Even slightly cold. Does not melt in your mouth at all compared to terakawa. The soup was not as hot as it should be. The egg tasted bland and was not marinated like terakawas. On a more positive note the staff seemed welcoming and the atmosphere in the restaurant was neat. The menu was a little overwhelming. Im sure other items on the menu would have tasted good, but the ramen I had was a huge disappointment. Better quality with a better price at Terakawa.

I liked the decor and the cups, they were charming. But this review is 2 stars cause the ramen just isnt very good and I would not come here again. The pork was not melt in your mouth, it was kind of.. chewy? Extremely disappointing, I think the worst pork Ive ever had in a ramen ever. The broth is also very meh, not impressive. The noodles werent bad though. Also the waitress tried to slip in all these add-ons by asking if we "liked" seaweed and other things. It was shady and bad. There are better places than this less than a mile away. No reason to go here unless u want to see the cool Iron Man statue.

Good service, good food. I ordered a pork soup ramen without adding any of the flavouring (e.g. miso, etc) because I wanted to taste the broth itself, and Philly restaurants seem to generally put too much salt for my taste. So I asked for a plain pork soup with least salt. The noodle was very satisfactory. Rich broth, nice and fatty chashui, the half egg had perfectly soft yolk. I was very happy with my did despite being in pain after a long day of sightseeing in foot. Though honestly, I think the food is a 4-star, the good service make them a 5.

Excellent environment and a much needed addition to phillys culinary pallet! The ramen here comes in a chicken base broth and one bowl is more than enough to fill you up, trust me. They use prime ingredients and offer a choice to add the a vegetable of the day to your soup. Ingredients are fresh, crisp, and the daily vegetable is bought from local produce vendors in Chinatown! Swing by Yamitsuki for an authentic, yet relaxed atmosphere.

Went for the lunch special, which included a seaweed salad, an karage chicken appetizer, tonkatsu ramen and a black milk tea for 13. The decor was trendy and well received. Loved the Iron Man statue that greets you at the door. Broth was flavorful and spicy in the taken, but the pork felt seared, tough and rushed rather than slow cooked. Egg didnt taste marinated at all, which was disappointing. Regardless, Ill have back for the broth!

Great food but with an odd style. Among its idiosyncrasies were "buns" served like sandwiches, water served in scientific beakers, an iron man display, and a bill served in an old naruto manga book written in Japanese. While those aspects may be charming or strange based on tastes, the food was good. The ramen was served with a mix of vegetables and proteins, was very flavourful, and the portion sizes were generous.

basic ramen - there is definitely much better in the city. i believe the strong ratings is due to the proximity to reading terminal market & the convention center. it is certainly homemade & fresh, but not representative of excellent ramen. if you are in the neighborhood and need a quick, easy bite, it isnt a bad choice, but i wouldnt go out of my way to come here. try many other excellent choices in the city!

I had the shoyu ramen large. It was pretty good. The noodles were the thin noodles. Down the street is terakawa ramen which has a thicker noodle which I prefer. The restaurant itself is clean and the staff is nice. Pricewise I think youd get more bang for your buck down the street but I came here because that place was packed and I did not want to wait. This is a great backup spot if youre craving ramen.

Had a chicken katsu w/pork buns and a nine tails drink yes thats correct nine tails. They even have a sasuke, sakura, madara etc. Good size portions great time friendly staff. All around great environment definitely recommend.

Amazing place. Great mouth watering ramen. Amazing sweet bubble tea. This place wins. As soon as you enter there is an awesome baymax to meet you at the door, with naruto posters and receipt holders, relaxing decorations all over. Anime/ramen/bubble tea fans unite! They include Japanese manga books as you are checking out to look at!

Charming and geeky in the absolute best way. Some of the nicest staff Ive ever encountered, and awesome food. Music selection was great. Prices were pretty reasonable, especially with the drink specials they have on teas. Great selection of tea drinks as well. Excellent place, Ill definitely be back.

Overall feel of this place was great. Kinda quirky with their beakers for glasses of water and handing a manga with the check. Ramen was delicious and filling. The wait staff was also very quick and checked up on me enough times I never had to ask for more water.

Sleek looking new ramen joint in Philly. Even though im not chicken broth ramen guy, I found their ramen perfectly tasty. Their chicken and pork katsu curry rice dishes are also very nicely made and come with a coddled egg and salad. Very filling for lunch.

Awesome new ramen spot. Very welcoming. Great service from both the servers and chefs. They TRULY want you to enjoy yourself. Go for the pork buns. Cant go wrong with any of the ramen options. This is a the ramen spot Philly has been missing.

My only complaint is I can only give them 5 stars. This is a fantastic place to eat. The staff are very nice the tea is hot and plentiful, the food is so very tasty and the prices are reasonable. We will be back here many times in the future.

Not huge ramen guy, and theirs was just ok. I found the chairs a little uncomfortable due to having no backs. I had a chunk of noodles in my bowl that were uncooked, but Im sure thats not the norm. All the others in my group were cooked fine.

I like (being a nerd) the manga and the anime murals of naruto. Also the littlw bit of japenese they spoke to liven up the reaturant. The resteraunts food was great I got miso ramen and matcha tea it was good as well, but a little too milky.
