FIRST TIME I WENT because Id heard about the original in the city, our child was with a sitter, the inlaws wanted to go out and we wanted to try something new.......... It was one of the worst service experiences Ive had at a restaurant in a long time and was definitely not something I would have expected from a restaurant that positions themselves to be more upscale. Maybe theyll survive just on their name alone however if everyday is like it was when I went to visit on a beautiful summer Saturday evening, then theyre in trouble. Were they busy? Sure, which was expected on Friday night and thats why we made reservations well in advance. After finding parking we ended up walked in about 5 minutes before our reservation time. We were greeted at the door by the hostess who asked how many were in our party. We proceeded to tell her we had a reservation and gave her the name on the reservation and the time it was for. She looked on the list and told us our table wasnt ready yet and it would be about 20 minutes or so. She then turned to the other hostess behind the computer and without realizing they were overhead, told her colleague that they had given up our reserved table to someone else. Thats where the annoyance began. Another group of 4 walked in without a reservation and were also told the wait would be approximately 20 minutes. There was the second annoyance. Why make an appointment when not only is it given away, but its the same time whether you had an appointment or just walked in? A shirt while later we see them fixing up a long rectangular table in the back of the room whose back was a cushioned bench, the sides with 1 chair each, and 2 chairs in the middle, and soon realized that would be ours. The table was set for 6 diners with silverware, drink ware and plates for 6. We were escorted to the table by the hostess and sat down. At no point during our time there were the remaining 2 settings removed, nor were the 2 remaining chairs removed either. It was quite tight. Getting even more annoyed..... Menus were given to us, 3 too many and the additional chair next to me started to show its worth as a storage table for extra table settings and menus. Even more annoyed now....... We had a nice waiter although he seemed a little overwhelmed. He asked about drinks so I ordered a favorite beer and one of my guests asked for a glass full of ice for his drink. My other guests had their drinks come out fine but the one that specifically asked for a glass full of ice received a glass with no ice. Resizing his mistake he said he go fill it up. He told me the keg was having an issue and it would be a few minutes before theyd have the new one in. I told him it was not a problem and to bring the drink when the keg was tapped. By this point my guests had had it. One of them called the waiter over and asked him to bill us out for the drinks we had ordered (we didnt get to order food yet) and that we were going to leave and eat somewhere else. The waiter stated he understood and brought the check, with my beer still on it. I explained we were going to leave and to cancel the drink since not only had it not arrived yet but I was the one driving. He took the check back and made the adjustment and when he brought the check back brought the beer anyway. He then proceeded to ask, and I quote... "Would you like to begin with any appetizers?" At this point we were furious..... How could there have been so many mishaps and missteps? We left because the service so far was probably a good indicator how the rest of the night would continue, and that isnt how we didnt want to spend our once-in-a-lifetime child-free dinner out. Since the beer was going to end up going to waste I took a sip as I got up only to discover the ultimate travesty. My beer, which is Never meant to be served this way, especially on tap, was served warm. We walked out of there, drove to Carlos down the road which we had never been before either, and had an amazing dinner. First impressions mean everything and Patsys blew it badly.

I have been going to Patsys with my family since they opened, for lunch and dinner. We have had items such as the pizzas, lobster lolli pops, shrimp Caesar salad, short rib ragu, lobster roll, ARTICHOKE spinach dip, friend ARTICHOKE hearts, fried calamari, grilled octopus... and the list goes on. The food is always great and the service is what it should be. We have not been there since the winter, we finally went last night July 8th. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. 1st my brothers fiance ordered a mixed drink, instead of the waitress asking what it is, since she clearly had no clue, and brought over scotch in a champagne fluke. We had to send it back and she had wine instead. Then we ordered appetizers, the calamari was soggy, not crispy at all, the octopus was cold, and chewey, the artichokes were ok. We also had to wave a worker down for plates when the apps came, as the table was not set with any. Then before we were even finished with the apps 2 pizzas which were meant to be with the entrees came out, the waitress did not ask if we were done with our apps, she just cleared them quick and explained the rest of the food will be out soon, as pizzas cook quick. Now from working in the restaurant business in the past, a trained server would know to place the entrees first and then fire the pizzas, so food will be brought out together. Once again we had to wave workers down for plates and silverware as the table was never marked. Then my father looked at his soda glass, and noticed the huge crack in the side of it. The entrees were gross. The linguini with clams had no taste at all. The pizzas were cold...due to the fact that we had to wait for the rest of the entrees. The spaghetti and meatballs tasted as if a can of jar sauce was dumped on it. The lobster roll had soggy bread. The server gave us a jar of parmesan for the pasta, no one asked if we wanted any fresh pepper or fresh grated cheese as they used to. Then we ordered desserts. When we asked the waitress what flavor gelato they had, she replied that she THINKS ONLY CHOCOLATE, PISTACHIO AND VANILLA, we ordered dessert, and she had to come back to tell us there was no more bread pudding. We were eating the desserts and she once again started clearing dishes without asking if we were finished. The all around experience was horrible. I dont know what happened to Pastys. I am actually very disappointed.... we will not be going back, and I will not be recommending the place to anyone anymore.

The service was just terrible! Our waiter for the evening which was one of the worse. He never introduced his name to us but here is a description *bald short Spanish guy* also he serviced the end corner by restrooms. I told him on the side it is my cousins birthday instead of getting the crew around and wishing a happy birthday instead he just gave a dessert that we had picked out and placed a candle on it without having the crew wish a happy birthday. It was so embarrassing he was also rude to my family. *We left him his tip*. But in return. I hope this helps with planning a birthday celebration not to end up with him as your waiter.
