If youre in no rush and like to deal with the elderly, this is the place for you! They have great prices but thats where the fun ends. The aisles are too narrow, the average age of the shoppers there is probably around 70 and they have no clue how to drive their shopping carts. They just stop dead center in the aisle to look for items on the shelves. The leave their carts in the middle of the aisles and walk away. When youre finally done getting everything on your shopping list and maneuvering your cart like a taxi in midtown Manhattan during rush hour, you come to a dead stop at the minimally staffed registers with nobody packing your bags. Lucky for me the line I was waiting on had the register go down. I rolled my cart into the nearest aisle and went to Stop and Shop up Main street. I paid about $5.00 more for the same items but was in and out in less than ten minutes. If your time and sanity is worth more to you than saving a few bucks, steer clear of this store.

Today I had a very bad experience at shop rite: I was in a rush, stopped at the store, thinking I was going to shop and get out in a decent amount of time, but that wasnt the case: they have moved the Goya frozen food from door 67 to door 1, and did not change the sign or indicated where the new location was, which made me waste a lot of my time!! But that wasnt all: when I got to register #11, the cashier needed a key to do some transaction for the customer in front of me, and even though she called for help many times, customer service took their sweet time to bring that key and that was another delay. I asked for the manager, and was told that person was on the second floor, watching what was going on and doing nothing about it. Judge by yourself what kind of experience I had at shop rite today!!

Lapin and I stopped by here to pick up some hot food for Bear Mountain. The store is spacious and clean. We have been to this location several times before and the staff is usually very friendly. There is a good selection with most of the sale items in stock with affordable pricing. I also like how they hot bar section with an area where you can actually sit and eat your food. The lines are always long but we try to keep our purchases small to speed through express line (but sometimes there is a wait here too).

For the prices, this place gets 5 stars. Pretty good selection, always fresh, great prices, and the butcher in the meat department is always extremely helpful! Weve had some really great steaks from here that friends have raved about, at unbeatable prices. I like that ShopRite also has their own line of very affordable organic meat.

I rarely come here as others in the chain have a greater selection and more staff. Quality is good, staff is helpful. But options are limited. Their gluten free section is okay. Other larger ShopRites have more options.
