My kids and i went here today. it was terrible. When we first got there we saw a sign that said they dont accept credit cards. In this day and age even vending machines take credit card. Anyway we had to go to the laundry mat next door. Upon trying to re enter this is cream shop there was a man standing right at the front door with a large dog that was trying to jump on everyone that was waling in or out and peeing on the welcome mat. Im 7 months pregnant and dont need someones dog jumping on me. I had to tell my 5 year old son just to go by fast so we would be jumped on by the large dog. Once we all got inside we stood at the counter waiting to be helped. Another women had come in after we had been standing there waiting. instead of taking our order the girl behind the counter helped the women who came in after us. At this point i am now fuming mad. Once the only other woman working there asks me if Im being helped i responded "are you sure you want to help me there are still other people who showed up after me who havent been helped". I told her what was going on and she said she was sorry and took my order. Even thought she stopped making my order to help the girl make the order that came in after me. Needless to say it took over 30 minutes to get two small plain ice creams. Then when trying to leave the man with the dog was sitting at the table right next to the door with his dog trying to jump on the people trying to go in or out. The owner should have asked them nicely to move further from the exit. The ice cream was nothing special. Just hersheys ice cream. Not worth the wait or the stress. Never going there again. Only gave it one star because i had too.

I think family farm rocks! They have the best service in middletown! Prices are fare , portions are more then what you pay for! The service is very good. I order something and it comes just the way I want it! Nothing ever wrong with it! These bad judgements from others are not true. Ive been coming here for the last 5 years since Ive moved here. The last 2 have been the best. The old owners were nasty and unsanitary. The new owners are so sweet and the staff is just wonderful! Theyre all so nice there. I love going there even when I dont want ice cream! :)

The Owners had their employees sign up and leave reviews after they saw the negative review that was given to them. This store has completely changed as far as the atmosphere goes. There is no more love in the store and pride for having an establishment that once was real and great. I grew up on this ice cream, now Ill finish my adult hood to drive to N.J for better ice cream and service.

I have been coming here for 13 years. It WAS my favorite ice cream place. I never went anywhere else. HOWEVER new ownership has taken over- the soft serve isnt the same, the sprinkles are terrible and worse than those the service is TERRIBLY SLOW, and management is rude and inexperienced. It really is a complete shame that we lost the best ice cream place porbably in Orange county. Sad Day

Family Farm Ice Cream is amazing! We recently ordered a scrumptious ice cream cake that everyone raved about. The chocolate custard was to die for and the frosting was the best ever. Jeanne,Tina and Barbara are so welcomingly accommodating, and make the BEST egg creams!

This is a good place to get ice cream. It has games, too. Its small, so dont bring a whole ton of people. Bring a date or a friend. They have creative creations and I think they still make birthday cakes.
