I had been meaning to try out Koreana for a while. Theyre constantly in the newspaper, being written up about how great their soup is. As someone who loves Korean food, I knew I had to come here eventually. We decided to go with takeout since it was cold and we just wanted to get home. For a Monday night, they had a decent crowd. The smell in here is wonderful and opens up your sinuses. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We both decided to go with the seafood noodle soup. In 15 minutes, we received two huge tubs of broth with a ton of mixed seafood (prawns, octopus, and scallops) and a container of noodles. After mixing everything together and noshing on the side of pickled radishes, we ate our soup. The aroma was strong, the taste was spicy but not overwhelming, and the flavors were perfect. I really enjoyed this soup and at $11.95, you do get a lot of food. I have to say that Surasang in Syosset is a little better simply because their broth is much spicier and gives more of a kick. I will definitely be back.

The food is surely good. It had that heat, that flavor, and it will satisfy anyone craving for some Korean. It is slightly more expensive than average but most Korean places are. The place has decent parking since its next to a market. The decor and ambiance could use a bit more organizing, sections have different themes and giving a general asian vibe than specifically Korean. The staff are nice and attentive and you get served in a decent amount of time, seeing that their food is cooked hot and not just reheated. I definitely had better elsewhere but if you dont want to travel that far and willing to spend a bit more then this a place that may be worth a visit.

nice decor. good location, though a little confusing to get to if using GPS on your phone. person who answered the phone didnt speak English which is always annoying as hell. price is slightly on the high end ( a la carte menu items are about $17 and up on average). advice for everyone: ask if the food is hot or cold - as very often, the noodles are served ice cold ( the way its made for some dishes). i think sarusang (the Korean restaurant) on jericho tpke in syosset prepares more flavorful korean food.

The BonChon is addicting!!! But it takes forever so if you are starving you should order an appetizer to tie you over. The Korean food is good too. I like the bimimbap with the spicy galbi. Yums! However the service is kind of slow and alot of times they do not refill your water/tea. You have to frequently flag them down to refill your drink.

Good korean fried chicken and other dishes here. My only complaint is the wait times for seating, food and prices are high. Often I have opted to just order food from the little korean grandma inside of H&Y mart next door where you can get any of the same dishes for half the price.

their foods are fair enough. Especially Korea marinated chicken(soy/hot)is really good. When compared to ones in Flushing, its little pricy and not the best in taste. however, i appreciated the fact that i can taste Korean dishes within miles from my house.

Koreana is a decent Korean restaurant. I prefer going to the Manhattan or Queens but when you have a craving this will do. The chicken is not consistent. At times its great and other times it could be much better.

A hidden gem in Plainview. The fried chicken is great. For Plainview, its pretty good Korean food. Small and quiet. They dont rush you out. Nice owners. They treat their regular customers well.

Probably the only place to get BonChon chicken outside of the city. Usually quiet, but prices on some items can be high. The fried dumplings and kimchi fried rice are always a good choice.
