Service was great, especially considering they were certainly understaffed, or at least deficient a server, on an evening where their core demographic stormed the doors shortly before a concert across the street. The beer list is adequate, a bulliet old fashioned was strong and served with an ice sphere instead of cubes. The food... Fried beets were unpeeled leaving them with the inedible root still attached to a charred, chewy, dirty beet. Served atop a literal bowl of herbs, stems and all. No one wants an entire bunch each of thyme, dill, marjoram and tarragon, let alone have it comprise half of the dish, explained on the menu as "greens", not "herbs". A kasha bowl containing mushrooms, almonds (burned and bitter), sweet corn and inexplicably also contained under cooked, crunchy quinoa, which was not listed as an ingredient at all. The mushrooms somehow were burned (or absorbed the burnt almond oil while being sauteed) and extremely bitter as a result. The sweet corn was an entire cob stuffed into the bowl with its papery husk used as a lions mane of a garnish. Something about having corn listed as an ingredient, yet can only be consumed separate from a dish intended to be consumed with a fork or spoon, irked me, and failed the dish. Present yet again was entire stems of leafless thyme strewn throughout. Do they really intend whole herbs be consumed stem and all? Pate and schnitzel were decent, but fingerling potatoes served with the schnitzel werent blanched before frying and were the texture of a soft jerky. Seemingly every dish comes with a mushy pickle, which appears to be the way they try and sell their loose "Modern Eastern European" inspiration. The bartender who was managing a full bar with another bartender and zero support staff took our drinks off the bill for the wait for our food, which was an hour on two courses and entirely reasonable. I would have rather paid for the drinks, not the unwashed, unpeeled garden of aromatic bushes we were fed with no attention paid to concept or nuance.

I stumbled upon Two Ravens inadvertently for my Sunday date night with a new girlfriend, since the Stockade Tavern was closed. It was absolutely serendipitous! The atmosphere brought me back to my stumblings around Europe, especially the Eastern/Slavic countries, and the food especially conjured up Old World inspiration with a New World flare. We ordered a couple appetizers and entree to split: The pickle dish, full of garlic spears, pickled peppers and tomatoes, and cabbage of course, were on point. The sauteed wild mushrooms with fried steak cut potatoes were out of this world. And the piece de resistance, the Slavyakskiy Dumpling platter reminded me of our own Slavic family recipe. On top of that, the house made horseradish infused vodka blew me away. The service was excellent! Our bartender, Gabriella, kept our thirst quenched, and the chef, her husband, our hunger sated. Two Ravens gets ALL THE STARS, and will definitely be our new go-to spot from here on out. Bravo!

The atmosphere at Two Ravens is awesome. The staff are warm, engaging, and attentive, and the recently opened kitchen, its on point. The food is perfectly seasoned, fresh, and unlike any other menu offerings in town. Ive never had a dish that wasnt perfectly cooked. Theyre serving brunch, lunch, and dinner now, with various entrees and small plates of Eastern European fare. Its by far my new favorite hangout.

Food is awesome! The pate is lovely and so is the cheese plate. If youre really lucky youll get Wolf the bartender. House wines are excellent.

Its fine. Overpriced for Uptown, imo, but has a nice interior and is a good place to go with friends when I come back home
