My favorite sushi place. Our server was excellent tonight. I wish I remembered his name. He was attentive, friendly, funny and on point. He definitely made our 2nd time here that much more pleasant. Props to his great service! We tried the shooting stars dish as recommended by fellow yelper Laura G! It was so fresh, light and delicious. Consisting of spicy crab, shrimp, mango, jalapeño, avocado, lettuce inside, rolled in rice paper wrappers with yuzu sauce. We ate it so fast and enjoyed it that this was the only thing I forgot to take a picture of. Oops! Rock shrimp tempura is decent, Ive had better elsewhere. Yay for the yelp check in! We scored free gyoza which were very flavorful, delicious, and crispy yet delicate. I would definitely order this on another visit. It is stated that the free appetizer is Chefs choice and Im glad this was his choice! No questions asked or anything mentioned about filling out a review in order to receive the free appetizer. Our female server on our first visit did ask for a review in exchange for the free app as other yelpers have stated as well. Luckily it went a lot better this time. Had the sashimi/sushi platter for one but it was perfect to share between two people. Came with a bowl of miso soup but our server kindly brought out two bowls of soup. Thank you! The fish was fresh and delicious and was presented very nicely. See picture. Mafia roll yet again was awesome. The fried onions on top do it for me. That truly makes this roll my favorite. We will definitely be back!

I scouted a place for myself, my wife and our son to eat. Something different. After reading all of the reviews we finally decided to give 110 Japan a try. The customer service was amazing. The second we walked in the door we were greeted. Another thing that I truely liked was dining hibachi style with a table full of other people dining as well. The fact that the chef was very involved with the crowd was amazing. Im sure all of the chefs here are great But Kevin really made everyones night enjoyable yesterday. The food was on point. The atmosphere was also great. Not sure why anyone would give a negative review. We laughed and enjoyed the time we spent with the whole table. It was as if we all made a plan to go there together. Absolutely something I would recommend to anyone else thinking about going. We WILL be back. Thank you for giving my family an outstanding first impression of your restaurant!

Great atmosphere. I had the best dinning experience. My server was Melody. Once I walked in with my friends, I received a warm welcome from her. I asked for a hibachi table but I did not have a reservation and the beautiful host Nancy told me its okay and brought me to a table and sat me down. Melody came over and she was my server. I told her it was my first time having hibachi and I dont know much of japanese food. She was very patient with me. She explain everything to me and my friends. We got 4 appetizers plus hibachi entrees. We were treated like a superstar. Me and my friends are totally satisfy. We will definitely come back and recommend this place to all our friends. I already made a reservation for by private birthday party. I believe this place gonna make my birthday remarkable. I look so much forward to it fir my next visit.

First time going there. They took a little while to get the chef to us for hibachi. And the food wasnt worth it, Ive tried a lot of other hibachi and Japanese places. I can personally say the salmon cuts were not worth it and was not tasty. And my friends complained the chicken terriyaki was dry and unsalted. It was okay food. If you are easily impressed by this place, try other places and youll see what youve been missing. A really good point to this place is the interior was awesome and the music was nice the day I went, just wish the food matched.

God awful service; and I wish there was a way to truly describe how shocked I was. You would think that for a place so nice, they would at least train their staff with some type of customer service, Not at all. the Bartender was without a doubt the worst bartender on the face of this planet, why would you work in a socially demanding job, when your social skills are weaker than an 6th grader. I wouldnt give these people one cent of my money, Sumou in Bayshore is way better in service, and in food. 110 Japan needs fixing

Food is great. the service is not. sat for at least 15 minutes before having to get up and tell the hostess we hadnt been seen yet by the waitress. from there.. more of the same. Wifes food came out wrong and before our app. Son ordered chicken fried rice and he got chunks of chicken with vegetables, side of white rice. lol. my sushi was great. and so was the rest of the food once they got it right. everyones super sweet and nice, but theres no way that this was an enjoyable experience. sorry 110 japan.. 2 stars at best

Had a terrible experience this past weekend. Do NOT go here if you have Celiac Disease! My three year old son with Celiac was served fried breaded onion rings in soup at 110 JAPAN. We specified that we all wanted gluten free food and that my son has Celiac. Manager passed blame to the waiter, and was uninterested in educating himself on what Celiac Disease is. Very disappointed - not a place I would ever return to.

The food is delicious but the service is horrendous. When we walked in we were told to choose any table we wanted and then we sat there for 20 minutes without even being asked for our drink order. This has happened on 3 separate occasions and on the third time of being completely ignored, we walked out. Will never be going back.

I have tried the hibachi, dine in seating and bar. The food here is great the drinks are even better and the sushi is one of the best. Most importantly its prices are not sky high so you can and will keep coming back. The decor and atmosphere is modern and done very well. One of my favorites! Def a must try.

Hibachi prices are average. Not happy with the food, all very bland & unseasoned. They are very skimpy with sauces, soup had one mushroom & 1 piece of fried onion. Salad was iceberg lettuce & a half of a cherry tomato. Ginger dressing was not the best & a meager portion. I would not go back.

Discovered this place during their first week of opening by accident. The food was surprisingly good, and the price is unbeatable (especially the lunch menu)! The customer service was excellent as well. I will definitely come back and recommend this place to others in Long Island.

Great food and great table service. Bar area is a little tight and bartenders are rude. Also would prefer if the bartenders dont play on their phone while helping customers. Even worse when I saw my bartender texting with my credit card in her hand.

Food was AMAZING.. Service was Great... Its absolutely gorgeous inside. Its really big, and the lighting, and the details all around.. I mean even the bathrooms were nice. Lunch menu prices were great.. Has become our favorite hibachi place.
