Trendy looking place with very reasonable prices. Theyve really made the place look great. You pay the same here as you would a smaller place. Ive taken friends here and none have been disappointed and have said sushi other places will never be the same. Tuna dumplings are something Id never order, but I tried them and am hooked. Very creative dishes and great presentation. I hope they do well or Ill be heartbroken. Theyre located in a party of So Oyster Bay Rd that doesnt have high traffic and is attached to a Days Inn. There is a lounge/bar area which has music and is a little louder and there is a dining room for easy conversation. LOVE IT! If youre in the area, please do yourself a favor and go. Try their specialty rolls.

When I first saw the pictures of this place I thought they were fake to get people to come and well it was exactly how it looked in the pictures! Service was great, food was excellent. Happy hour specials were also great. Only problem is its hard to find when you going down south oyster bay road. You really have to pay attention. Theyve only been open for a few months. People must not know it even exists because of the location. I highly recommend Blue Fish to anyone whos looking for a nice happy hour spot or even a nice dinner for 2. Bathroom was nice and very clean. They also deliver. GO TO BLUE FISH!

The service is disgusting. Half of the items on the menu are not described how they should be and when one returns the food that wasnt made to how it was describe, the waiters have the nerve to tell you that you are wrong and even CUSS at you. As you leave the restaurant humiliated, they laugh at you to humiliate you even further. Absolutely horrible staff. The restaurant would be amazing if it wasnt for the people working there. The only good waiter is a guy with darker skin and lots of tattoos - the only man there with a good attitude and polite service.

There was almost nobody inside, maybe because I went there quite late (around 9pm). The ambiance is quite good and romantic. Unfortunately, I was alone there. The cocktail I took was okay, there wasnt a big quantity of alcohol though. Then, I took a tri-color sashimi with the salad (you can choose between soup or salad). The salad was okay. The sashimis came with rice and Ive noticed some of them have a strange smell.. (maybe not that fresh...). The rice wasnt that good (a bit harder) as it was probably the end of the service.

Some very delicious sushi. This might take over as our defacto sushi place. The sauces were delicious and the roll combinations were to die for. The serving size was ample and we ate 3 rolls between the 2 of us. Service was a bit slow mid-meal, but placing an order for a 3rd roll, it was made at at our table quickly. Decor is nice. Red room/Blue room. Dont be thrown by the big flashing sign out front next to the Days Inn sign. Staff was friendly and offered suggestions. We will be back again.

A very Americanized Sushi restaurant but I have no qualms. They have so spectacular, mouth-watering rolls and a great selection of liquor. This restaurant is divided into a bar / party floor and a general restaurant area. This spot is great whether you are having a romantic date or even for a large group. They also take reservations and large orders. Blue Fish is a must try if you are in the neighborhood. You wont regret it!!

Was dragged here by friends tonight, and I mean dragged. I had barbecue waiting for me at home before I had to go back out. I ordered a house specialty "Long Island Roll" and it was honestly one of the best rolls I have ever had. Its attached to a Days Inn, but dont let it fool you. A great bang for your buck indeed, and very nice and attentive staff as well.

I agree with other posters, that the location of this place is misleading. The Days Inn that is next door really is run down and scary. But the Blue Fish stands on its own as a very good sushi place and very happy we tried it. The Long Island Roll was excellent and there are plenty of other interesting combos that I would like to try in the future.

We didnt dine in because it was so late, but we did go inside and it was beautiful. The ambiance was absolutely stunning. The food was delicious (we had shrimp habachi) and succulent, but we werent fond of the soup or salad, and the shrimp dumplings were okay. I would one day like to come back and enjoy the full affect of this restaurant.

Our "GoTo" place for sushi and Japanese food. The cuisine is fresh, well and prepared. The staff helpful and freindly. Dont let the drab exterior inhibit going in. Once in inside you will be delightfully suprised by the restaurants interior. Pictured are two lunch Bento Boxes.

i ordered take out & the spicy tuna wasnt spicy, the sashimi pieces werent fresh & the fried calamari was cold & soggy. (mind you i was at my friends house who lives 5 mins away & we left 5 mins after i placed the order)the place looks nice but the food is of poor quality.

Horrible service. I asked for a delivery and it took them 1 1/2 hours to drive 1.7miles. They couldnt find the place and called 10times. Once they got here the man was rude. They did not offer any discount or nothing. Didnt even say sorry.

While the outside decor isnt very alluring, the inside is very well designed with part lounge and part restaurant. The sushi is some of the best Ive had on LI, especially the Long Island roll. Portions are large and everything was tasty.

This place is my first choice for a Japanese Sushi bar in Long Island. The selection here is unmatched and everything is to die for. The one downfall is the location or else this place would always need reservations...

Very trendy, great sushi, even greater happy hour deals. Half off appetizers and half off drinks. Very friendly service. Nice dinner spot for 3.

One of the best Japanese cuisine restaurants Ive been to around Long Island. Foods, the real deal. However, take out is not as great.
