Always looking for interesting vegan options to try when we go out with certain friends so have been thinking about coming here for a while. Saw they are now hyping up "craft burgers" so finally tried it last night and was disappointed. The service was not horrible but best explained as "weird" as we had 1 person tell us the specials, then another ask if we heard them, then when we said yes, still repeated them. Then another server who was not necessarily rushing us, but very awkwardly not giving us enough time. I split a "Sashimi Burger" and the mantoo dumplings with a friend. The burgers were not good at all and the sashimi, which was a decent extra charge was barely noticeable. The dumplings were tasty enough. Wife got a burger that was supposed to come with avocado, and instead they brought a side of what seemed to be old, pre-made guacamole. Onion rings were very comparable to burger king, or the frozen bagged variety - you know with the ground up onions and crumby (not fresh) batter. Vegan friend got Curry Gardens and described it simply as "not great". Also, kind of felt bad asking, but due to the low quality of the meal asked anyway about the 25% off offer on the website if you sign up for their email list, which we did. and they said that expired and they cant take it down.

We had just come out from seeing a movie and were very hungry so looked around and was attracted by the cozy atmosphere of this place. Went in, say down and a nice friendly lady told us the specials. The menu had yummy items but were a little pricey. My husband ordered lamb chops, 27.00 my son the hamburger which cost 16.00 but fries were extra 6.00, my daughter some weird vegan concoction of Ming beans, falafel with marinara sauce 20.00 and me chicken kabob 20.00. We ordered appetizers of various Afghan goods 22.00. All were very small portions for the prices. My husband was furious he had to pay 27.00 for lamb chops that looked like party lollipops. My sons burgers looked like I had more bread than meat in it. My daughters looked like mush with each marinara sauce and me very small pieces of chicken and very little . All were also too salty for our tastebuds like they were trying to cover up something I must admit the food was flavorful but we paid 150.00 and left hungry. With this amount of money we could have fed 6 people at an exclusive Greek Restaurant in Astoria with three times the amount of food we had in this place. I give it a two star for the friendly hostess and atmosphere by for the portions 1 star. Next time Ill read reviews before I enter a restaurant.

One of THE worst restaurants Ive been in! Besides being way over priced the food was horrible. The list of vegan choices is quite small but with that said....the ravioli I ordered was like mush. My wife who obviously isnt vegan ordered lamb "rare". When it came out it was way over done. the waitress/owner(?) said she told the chef it was supposed to be rare. Well...being we were the only people in the entire restaurant he/she might have got it right. She brought it out the second time and it was hardly cooked this time. She told us not once but twice that she was only charging us for one of the dishes of lamb. REALLY??? How kind. BTW...she took my wifes plate rather than letting her eat what was left on her plate besides the meat(probably so she wouldnt eat the overdone meat while the chef was preparing the next try). ..so I sat there eating my food while my wife had nothing. Wifes food came, mine was done and I sat there watching her eat while mine was finished. No wonder no one else was in that restaurant at dinner time... save your time and money....go elsewhere. This place is a total ship wreck!

Ive been all around the world (except for Afghanistan) and I must say that Ariana restaurant is one of my top 5 restaurants Ive ever eaten at. Keep in mind that Ive eaten at over 1,000 establishments and consider myself a connoisseur. Here is my unbiased review. The BAD - a pretty big wine list, just not that great of a selection - lots of cozy seating, but the place is often too full to get seated in that area The GOOD - the owner comes out to greet you and get to know you. - service is good, not great - prices are standard for huntington village The GREAT - The Mantoo, the Aushak Kadu - these are flavors you never knew existed! - The Afghani sampler they give you (free) before any meal - The specials (fishermans stew, rack of lamb, short rib) - The new vegan menu i hear is great from the NY times but dont have much experience with it - 50% off on weeknights!!!!!

What attracted me was the big sign out front that said Craft Burger, 100% Angus Beef, blah, blah, blah. It is a pricey place for hardly no food. It must think because its in Huntington they can get away with that. I ordered the cup of lentil soup and that was good. I ordered a craft burger. I thought that for $16.00 I would get a decent burger to sink my teeth into. I was not ordering sweet potato fries at $6.00. It took a really long time to get my burger and they were not busy at all. Only 3 of us customers in there. The burger was nothing to sink my teeth into. I left hungry and paid $23.00. She tried to charge me for the bowl of soup and I had to call it to her attention that I ordered the cup. She also did not bring me my carmelized onions that were on the menu with the burger. I dont know how they stay in business.

Let me start by saying I worked for Ariana for a little under two weeks , brought on as a chef to help execute their new craft burger concept. Im not writing as a disgruntled employee, but more so to make the public aware of this horrible establishment. The kitchen is dirtiest kitchen Ive worked in. If you think youre getting g fresh food think twice.the owner insists on cooking everything in advance and freezing it. That includes her $20 burgers. The owner is fake as can be pumping her food up to be something its not and charging insanely inflated prices because shes i n debt. Dont enable this buisness owner to continue taking avantage of consumers and avoid this restaurant like the plague. I finally quit after being called horrible names by the owner. Go somewhere that appreciates their employees and customers

The lunch special I had on my first day in this resteraunt was an amazing find. Sure i may have been only customer that day but the elegant feel with simple vibes makes this place feel esquisite to be in. The variety of options for different kinds of people, espececially those who vegitarian or vegan, even matches this kind of simple elegance that i felt in the resteraunt. Now granted wasnt on a busy day. But the food was amazing. I had some chili, thier special tea with sugar coated almonds, dumplings with scallions and herbs, and nice barley pilaf on side, and I liked every bit of it. Granted only complaint was dumplings sauce but everything else was flawless. Hope all of you can come by and give this place a shot. Small place but big power in thier food i find everyone should try.
