I recently moved to Dutchess County and was looking last Saturday for a place to eat some good Italian food. I used Google and found the Blue Fountain. What a place! Everything about the place screams real Italian. They have a cheese and wine sampling as soon as you walk in. We were seated just after the sampling and our waitor Frederico was extremely attentive to us and by that I mean bringing us bread, water, crumbing the table in between courses, etc. For appitizers we had a cold antipasto that consisted of real sliced Italian dry sausage that wasnt your average deli chopped kind of stuff, pickled mushrooms, spicy olives and several different types of cheeses like parmigiano, buffalo mozzarella and even some special Caciocavallo cheese which I havent eaten since I was a boy in my grandparents house back in the Bronx! The house salad that followed was a good size and had crispy Romaine lettuce, croutons and dressing. For dinner my wife had the Fetuccini Mare E Mondo that included a good protion of Fetuccini pasta and sauteed chicken, shrimp and vegetables in a garlic and oil sauce. Very good & definately worth the $16.00. I had the Cheifs Fish Special that was an entree Bronzino fish sauteed in a tomato and white wine sauce. It was amazing. I never thought you could get Bronzino north of the city I guess i was wrong. For dessert we split an order of cheesecake also very good and I even had an Espresso! All that along with a good bottle of Masi Pinot Grigio was what I call a terrific dinner. In total I payed about $90.00 befor tip and I feel that it was totally worth it. Me and my wife left completely satisfied with the food, service and above all the price! I thought at first i was going to be paying with the credit card for but to my surpeise it was a night that didnt beak my wallet. My new favorite Resturant 5 stars all the way!

Lousy management. We had made reservations (2) Full Months in advance for a 4pm on the day of our daughters graduation. We arrived a few minutes early and were first told by the hostess that our reservation was not 4pm, but 5pm. But when I told her she was wrong and then I pointed out that the number "5" was clearly written over the original "4" PM in their reservation book, a male whom I presume was the owner came out when the original hostess went for him. He changed their story, saying the truth is they have another party they booked after ours and they are running late and they tried calling that they left a message at our home (while we are at the graduation ceremony) that another party that was booked was running late and we would have to wait an hour or more. Completely unacceptable, it is the restaurants responsibility to honor reservations and manage their tables for incoming reservations. The Blue Fountain failed miserably in this regard and ruined a Two-Month reservation and graduation dinner as we had post dinner plans that would have overlapped if we had to be seated an hour later than we made reservations for. So not only did they initially lie that we didnt have the 4pm reservation, they actually had the Nerve to attempt to change our 4pm reservation we had for more than two months on the very day of the reservation. Apparently GREED runs their business as they dont honor reservations if a larger party books later(as the hostess admitted to after their lies were revealed) and they failed miserably in honesty and communication. We will certainly NEVER consider the Blue Fountain for our dining needs ever again and would never recommend anyone trust a reservation for a special occasion at this so-called restaurant.

Came here the same night they had a large party. They sat me in the bar next to the front door. I had a line of people 2 feet away all talking very loudly like they are still outside. It didnt get better when they all waited at the bar for their table. The noise was ridiculous. Once they were sat my service disappeared. They should have just told me they were closed for a private party. You cant give me your leftover attention and pretend it is the same as everyone gets every other night.

We went here for a Christmas eve dinner. We had a 830 reservation when we arrives the hostess ignored us for 10 min until I approached her at the bar. When we were sat our table was in the middle of the room, there was confusion who our wait person was, food was bland we were told free drinks due to the poor service however they were on the bill and our bill was $80 for two people we drank soda btw. Never going back!!

We had been to the Blue Fountain for two other catered parties and then used them for our sons baptism party. We were extremely pleased not only with the food but also with the curious and professional wait staff. We are happy to have the Blue Fountain within driving distance and wish it prosperity and longevity. Peter

Wow... was really impressed! Great ambiance, great food and excellent service! I had the Penne alla Vodka with chicken it was delicious. Everything is made fresh to your order I am going to go back to try the veal sorrentino and the fried calamari. Recommend especially for any special occasion. Great experience overall!

The best Italian food restaurant in Dutchess County. Frank the owner and his wife Pena take pride in their food and business. All ingredients are fresh, it just does not get any better. Try dining here it will be your best experience ever.

Yummy sauce. Once I got processed chicken so I stopped going. I ecently tried it again... back to the old chicken but the portions were smaller and a few dollars less. Service is sometimes not very good for take out--the help ignores you.

I/we love this RESTRAUNT! The staff is attentive & polite! There are specials along with a fairly large menu. A very decent wine list so youll be able to pair with your food. I/we are partial to Camille as our fav waitress!!
