Absolutely terrible. DO NOT waste your time waiting at this "restaurant." Started off on a bad note with the hostess and went down hill from there. Was told the wait was 35 min-which we were fine with. We are patient people and ive been working in restaurants for 10 years. Waited over 45 minutes for a table, as all of the staff slowly moved around barely making an effort to flip any tables. We finally were seated and order. Got our appetizer-mussels- which were just okay. Nothing to brag about. As were half way through the appetizer, our lobsters came out and were plopped on our table. Our waitress had taken our order and never came back. Our lobsters are sitting there as we finished our app. A few min later I started on the lobster - AWFUL! Completely over cooked and VERY difficult to eat. Not to mention the crab meat on top was completely cold. Clearly the lobsters were sitting in the back and were MAYBE microwaved before brought to our table. We both pushed the lobster aside and waited for our server to come back. And of course she passed by us multiple times, never once asking why we werent eating our food. Instead of just walking out without paying, we gave the hostess money for our appetizers but refused to pay for the lobsters and explained why. They did absolutely nothing to attempt to redeem themselves. Took our money, said sorry, and that was it. Very upsetting that this was a very special occasion for my boyfriend and I, we waited 45 min for god awful food and terrible service. As I said I work in restaurants as a server, so I am NEVER one to complain, but this was just too much. Do not waste your time waiting an hour to sit in this place to be served food that is probably days old, by servers who take your order and never come back again.

Been coming here for a long time. A very long time. When my dad would take me down the shore as a kid we would stop here and get flounder. Amazing. If you like shrimp, flounder, crabs and so much more its here. I personally LOVE the seafood platter of scallops (best place in the world - NO JOKE), and ive been all over the world being in the military and all. Flounder is good as well in the platter, very flakey. Crab cakes I dont care for but I never have liked them. And clams, well I have forced myself to like them as a grown up because as a kid I didnt like them at all. All in all this is one of the best places for fresh seafood in USA. One issue is they arent super quick at coming to see you when you sit down. Not worth taking a star off of though, just cause the food is that good

we arrived in the teeth of Friday night dinner with three adults and a two year old and soon to be five year old!!! we got the best table in the house a booth in the rear of the restaurant so we could contain our family when we realized we left our fortification (wine) at home our waitress was completely understanding when we requested a pause for our hero to go retrieve it but brought drinks for the little girls in our party. THE FOOD WAS GREAT. we collectively had chowder, fish and chips with cod and a shrimp fry that were just as we expected them to be light and tasteful. All in all I hope my family invites me back to PPB so we can all enjoy another fun dinner at Shore Fresh Seafood maybe on my next visit from Las Vegas I might even bring the husband!!

February 2nd, Ground Hogs Day was my birthday & I could have anything I wanted so I choose to drive 45 minutes to Shore Fresh for their lobster roll! Thats how good it is! And their FF are the best, being twice fried so they are crispy on the outside but just right on the inside. In my haste to enjoy my lobster I forgot to order the lettuce & tomato on the side allowing me to make a small salad with ketchup & mayo (I guess Im a lobster snob - I like my lobster roll to be all lobster with no outside interference with competing flavors, etc...). My husband had the shrimp scampy and loved it as well. The staff were all friendly and attentive, as usual. GREAT PLACE WITH CONSISTENT GOOD FOOD!

This wonderful local fish market is a weekly destination for us. Almost every Friday, we drive over to pick up fresh fish to bring home and prepare. The staff is wonderful, helpful, friendly and polite and alwsys willing to make special orders. The fish is perfectly fresh and never disappointing. They make the absolute BEST ever, New England clam chowder! Ive also opted to let them do the cooking and eaten there. Again, the food is just delicious and fish full of flavor. I always recommend this local market to those new to Ocean County or vacationing in the area.

My absolute favorite seafood spot in NJ! The fish and chips simply cannot be beat, cod, flounder, or grouper all literally fresh off the boat for under $10! Fries are out of this world, and while I have trouble deviating from my usual, there are a lot of awesome items on the menu! Easily better than establishments charging twice as much, and the staff is super friendly. I never thought I would be a regular at a seafood place but this place...mmm!

New England clam chowder had uncooked potatoes and the only thing you could taste was black pepper. Ordered stuffed lobster. The lobster was a good size but a little over cooked. When they say stuffed they were talking about a very large crab cake. I was excited to see it come to the table but the crab cake was burnt on the outside and cold on the inside. Overall, I do not plan on eating there again.

Ridiculously good, amazing prices, and great service! We got here around 4:45 on Saturday and did not wait. However, 5:15 hit and the place was PACKED with people waiting in line. It is casual (they serve food on paper plates with plastic forks) which is perfect for when you just got off the beach. Everything was AMAZING and fresh, the steamers were off the chart. I would for sure come back here.

Im not a seafood lover and usually with these places they dont have much for landlovers, but the chicken sandwich with balsamic dressing is amazing and the fries...yummy. My boyfriend has tried pretty much everything on the menu and loves it all. The prices are great too. Recommend shore fresh to anyone who comes to the area.

I dont know how to give a negative star...but after spending top dollar for a few tuna steaks to go, I should not have to ask twice for a plastic bag, nor should I be told that I need to buy a bag of ice next door if I wanted to keep my purchase cold for the ride home.Youre sitting on a ton of ice in front of you, jackass.

My wife and I love seafood and the food here is fresh and great tasting. The Lobster Bisque, Manhattan Clam Chowder, and Blackened Tuna Bites are outstanding. Their portions are plentiful and we had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. We highly recommend this place.
