When they are good, they are very good but when they are bad, they are very bad. My family and I have eaten here many times because they offer quality food with a health inspired menu, including vegan options which is a major consideration when I eat out. I have never been a fan of their customer service, even factoring in what is standard for the area. Expect an inexplicably long wait for your food even when tables are empty. If you get there for lunch time, it becomes pretty apparent that the kitchen staff are eager to end their service. We normally arrive there between 12 and 2 and those have been our worst experiences. On our last visit there, my order for a tofu scramble came out as cubed tofu with mixed vegetables. I never send food back but I had to because a mistake like that is bad if they are selling one thing on the menu and delivering another thing entirely. I explained the issue to the waitress who said that their cooks have "a hard time scrambling the tofu". It seems there is no one managing to ensure the staff know how to cook each item on the menu. My moms order came out with raw spinach under her eggs Benedict instead of wilted, cause the kitchen was rushing to end lunch service and cutting corners. I had to order another item on the menu since the cook didnt know how to prepare the scrambled tofu, by the time my food arrived my family finished their meals and I was eating mine alone. The staff are not rude but they certainly dont get how poor of an experience it is for the customer, no apologies made or anything done to compensate for the inconvenience. This is not the first time I have felt that the kitchen staff cut corners to wrap up their shifts. Given that we travel a good 35 mins each way to eat there, I dont think they will be getting our business again. This makes me sad because I go out of my way to support restaurants that have vegan-friendly selections but I have to draw the line at this place. I hope they can make some key changes and turn things around.

Have never eaten in the actual restaurant but I wouldnt recommend them at all as caterers. Very unprofessional. Didnt abide by the requested serving schedule which really threw things off schedule at the event and caused unnecessary stress and confusion for the hosts and their guests on what shouldve been a happy day. They served one chicken dish RAW, failed to serve another one of the dishes completely, they promised IN WRITING to reimburse the people who hired them for their many errors and the food that was not served and four months later, have failed to do so completely NOT standing behind their word. Such a huge disappointment and a terrible way to conduct business. This is definitely not what these people expected for hiring and trying to support a small, local business. It was obvious they couldnt handle an affair of this nature and size and should have never agreed to in the first place but, since they did, they should AT LEAST abide by their word and refund the money as they promised! **UPDATE** It took several months and several phonecalls & trips by the groom to this business before they FINALLY gave them the refund theyd promised them**

Very happy I discovered this place while staying at our shore house this summer. I am a very big fan of the decor and cozy feel of this place. Im an even bigger fan of the menu as it features entirely local ingredients and the food is made with care and attention to detail. I have specific dietary needs which makes my ordering experience a bit tedious at times. Local Urban Kitchen catered to me with ease. I was able to construct a meal that met my needs and standards pretty easily. The food was delicious. Weve been here twice. The first time there was no wait and the service was above average. The second time was a bit busier. We waited for twenty minutes for a table and then had a server that probably had too many tables, but was also standing around talking to friends of hers on more than once occasion which caused us to have to ask for drinks and silverware more than once. Our food also took about 20-25 minutes on the second wait, but the kitchen looks small for such a busy place. So customer service can be improved and maybe theyre a bit understaffed, but overall it is an amazing place to eat and Im looking forward to another visit.

First time eating lunch on a Saturday with a friend. Service was poor and very little interaction. Ordered chicken panini with no peppers. Order came out with peppers! Waitress barely attempted to take the order back. I didnt want that kind of trouble. So I took the peppers and the soggy bottom bread off. Chicken tasted fine but looked steamed or something, no grill marks or browning. My friends dish was a ahi tuna salad. Im a big fan of ahi, so I took a bite, very fishy! Think it may have been bad. Service was very slow and the place was not busy. Lastly, my friend ordered a coffee to go. Milk was bad and her coffee curdled. The staff kept insisting it was the coffee flavoring. They brought out 3 cups till they finally opened a new bottle of milk. Guess what NO curdle. Disappointed...will not be back! Also like to add, the customer next to me, complained about hair in her kale chips. I heard the waitress give her a story that kale is stringy and the kitchen said thats how the kale is!! OMG really!

Went to this eatery twice this weekend. First time was for lunch Saturday. I ordered a chicken sandwich. The sandwich fell apart after the first bite. The chicken was dry. 2nd time was, Sunday morning (7:45) to get a smoothie and tea. My daughter and I sat down at a table. Within minutes a waitress said are you getting breakfast? We said no we just wanted to sit for a couple of minutes. There were no customers yet. She didnt appreciate us sitting in her station and she had an attitude to let us know it. We will not be returning to this place. For an environmentally friendly restaurant it wasnt a people friendly experience.

Love LUK!!!! Ive been a customer of LUK for a couple of years now and can always guarantee on healthy, delicious food. Im a vegan and its always been difficult to go out with friends and family, so its exciting to find a place that can serve everyones dietary needs. The new location in Pt. is awesome, the decor and ambiance is a perfect fit. Everything on their menu is delicious - fresh juices (green morning start is my fav!), veggie burgers, and salads. They also have this shot called the flu shot - made with lemon, ginger, garlic, flax oil and cayenne thats sure to kick any cold! Definitely recommend checking them out!!

I would recommend LUK to anyone. Very convenient to pop in for coffee, snacks, or a smoothie if youre on the run and also a great place to go if youre looking to have a sit down meal. The food is always fresh and delicious, the atmosphere is relaxed and trendy, and the service is always friendly. Its nice to have a healthy restaurant option around the jersey shore area. LUK is very transparent about what goes into their food and where their food comes from. I love that I feel good after leaving LUK, knowing that I had a great quality delicious meal.
