OMG!!! The food was SO good!! I live in Tucson, Arizona where we have some of the best, most traditional, most home-cooked- tasting Mexican food in the country, and Maria Bonitas was equally as good! The guacamole is so creamy, and chunky, you will swear there is butter in it, and nothing artificial.- oh, so good!! Their chips are homemade and came warm. We ate dinner there on a Tuesday, and it was so good, we came BACK again for dinner on Wednesday!! They are so nice, and remembered a special dietary request I had made the next time I ate there, without me even telling them! Felt like home! This is NOT tex-mex or some lame attempt, this is the real deal and oh-so-delicious!! You have to taste it to believe it!! Love!

My husband used to live in Mexico, and is very picky about eating Mexican food in the U.S. Most of it is Tex-Mex from our experience. We LOVE Maria Bonitas food because its more authentic, creative, and delicious. You name a menu item, weve had it. Our favorites are anything with the Mole Poblano sauce, Verde sauce, Guacamole, and Chorizo sausage. The staff is very friendly and they remember their customers. Its a smaller place, but we like its atmosphere. They usually decorate for holidays and have festive music. They also have a bar and imported Mexican sodas- some which are very hard to find. We eat there as much as we order to-go and they are fast. Definitely our favorite place to eat in Highland Falls!

Went there last night. Group of 5. I will start off by saying I love Mexican and Spanish food. I will also say, that as long as the food is of excellent quality, I will not mind paying a bit more. I mean, I dont always go out to eat, so spending a little more on good foor is fine with me. This out of the way eatery was awesome. The food, excellent. Service was great. One of our party has Celiac Disease. Which means she can no longer process wheat, rye and barley. This is not a dietary choice, but a medical necessity. The staff made sure her needs were met. The fully understood. The drive for us was approximately 30 minutes from our home, but we plan on going back.

Loved the personal service and the fact that we were remembered by the wait staff. The food was good: excellent chips and salsa and margaritas! Other food we ordered was above average...tacos were good and the burritos were also very good; however, we felt that the food was a bit overpriced...we are not from this area, so our assessment of prices may be somewhat unfair from not knowing pricing in the area. Overall we have had a good experience at Maria Bonita and we will continue to drop in occasionally when we are in the area.

Average quality Mexican food at high quality prices. Drinks were bland with poor quality tequila and off the shelf lime mix. Honestly the best thing about the restaurant was the chips and salsa. The service was also below average. There was a single person covering the bar and seating area and it seemed as if another single person cooking the food. I have no plans to return. If they cut the prices in half I might return but there is just nothing special about the place.

Food is overpriced for what you get. Had happy hour priced quesadillas that were a total rip off (amazingly small and tasteless). Entree was decent but not worth the price. Chips and Salsa were good. Margaritas hit the spot. Owners are very friendly. Service was slow even though we were the only ones in there at the time.

The food is delicious every time we have been there. The shrimp fajitas are the best. The owners are very nice and friendly.The only negative is they charge for each can of soda. I would rather a glass with free refills. If you atr in the area, I would definitely recommend it for great Mexican food.

You have to make purchases over 14 dollars for them to charge you credit or ATM card. There salsa was weak it was almost like a cold soup, my buddy got tacos that resembled taco bell.over all the experience was mediocre at best.
