Anyone who thinks this is good Mexican food obviously has never had real Mexican. Coming from South Carolina, where Mexican restaurants are as numerous as pizza joints are up here, and having lived in California for a while, I can tell you that Margaritas is NOT real Mexican nor is it good Mexican. It sadly is the only place in town though, unless you want to mention Salsas who I caught using a cheese wiz type product on their nachos. So being stuck between a rock and a hard place, I have been to Margaritas a few times. Tonight was the last. I left there 6 hours ago and still have indigestion from their steak fajitas. I agree with the other reviewer about the beans and rice tasting like they were microwaved, though in my case, being microwaved would have been a step up. All of ours were cold in the middle. We sat down, order guacamole and chili con queso to go with our chips and even before the guacamole got to us, the waitress was serving our main dishes. The other thing I dont understand is that they refuse to serve us water in the larger glasses they use for soda. My family and I only drink water and they actually told me no when we asked for larger cups so we didnt have to keep waiting for the water boy to come around and fill up the small water glasses time after time. I think after tonights fiasco, my family and I are truly done with this place. Besides, I can cook better Mexican food in my sleep. Horrible place! If you have tastes buds and know real Mexican beware. If you are only after an Americanized Taco Bell like Mexican meal then this is the place for you.

The margaritas were amazing as well as the chips, salsa, and guacamole. My entree dish which was the carnitas was not so delicious. The carnitas here are actually chucks of pork and although they are very tender, they are not seasoned as much as I would like them to be. Think of it like when you eat something that is "so so" but after to much of it you get a nasty after taste. But enough about the food, the atmosphere was very nice and I enjoy the fine detail they used when giving this restaurant a theme. If they would just add more seasoning to their food I would gladly change my rating from 2 stars to five easily. The lack of seasoning was my reason for the rating.

I should have listened to another poster I dont know how the reviews for this place are so high. The waiter never came to our table to offer refills on soda, the tostada salad with chicken was bland and tasteless and had 1 tiny soggy tostada not a shell like most authentic restaurants offer. I have eaten Mexican food many places and being born in NYC this wasnt very authentic or worth ever coming back. Sorry but if you are a person who is looking for "authentic" Mexican food I would stay away. This place is def for people who dont travel out of their town.

I dont understand how people rate this place so highly. I guess if you have been living in this area for a while this might be all you know as far as mexican food . I ordered a generic beef burrito and they put the guacamole and sour cream in puddles surrounding my food and the inside of the burrito was fillled with super dry , un-seasoned beef and rice . Im pretty sure this has been microwaved , especially the beef . The good thing is i lost 6lbs and I am still on the toilet as i post this review......

Awesome food! Probably the best Mexican rice ever and Im from Texas. Good size portions, a little pricier than other Mexican places but well worth it! Quick service is always a plus! Oh, and they do have changing tables, dont know where that other reviewer was.

I dont know why other people comment so highly on this restaurant. The service was good but the food was horrible and overpriced. I ordered spinach enchiladas and I got overcooked spinach in a soggy tortilla rolled up. Not going back. Ever.

The house margarita was exceptional. However, the use of canned mushrooms, retried beans and salsa is simply lazy. The talent is there, you can see it in other aspects of the meals... but they need to get rid of the canned shortcuts.

Got some hard shell tacos to go once. They were super greasy and by the time I got home (roughly 15 min.) they were soaked through. Still a nice place to eat in the village. Looks like a dive from the outside but its better than O.K.

Weve been going to Margaritas for years. OK so the beans might be microwaved. But the food overall is quite good, and the service is terrific. Once you get to know the staff, theyll treat you very well.

The only thing authentic about this place was the beer. Service was fine but if I wanted microwaved beans and rice with dry fish I couldve cooked it wrong at home myself for less than $15.
