THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. I ordered takeout and upon arriving home found that they left out food from my order. I called to discuss this and they did not care or believe my claim. Upon getting there I was told that was 2 portions sizes put into 1 plate (convenient). I have been a native of Flushing my entire life! I have eaten at numerous Korean BBQ establishments and very familiar of appropriate portion sizes. Besides that they lacked the professionalism and service to take responsibility of the situation. Not only did they give me a smaller portion size they filled the plate with bones to make it seem like they put more orders in. The worse part is the manager was laughing and smiling like it was a joke. My family and guests were left without food and I was left with no refund or resolution. I WILL NEVER go back here and they are disgrace to the original restaurant on Union which IS 100X better! I will never eat her and do not suggest anyone else does either. After speaking to several people I found out they are notorious for smaller portion sizes and charging people more for it. PLEASE PLEASE go somewhere else as these people do not deserve business especially because they take advantage of people who dont speak their language.

Although some dishes come with small portions and they have only two parking spots for the entire restaurant, Joong Gook Jip, or Chinese House, is as good as it gets, really. The food isnt Korean nor is it Chinese, really. Its a fusion of the two and so its not a traditional restaurant. However, because of its popularity, its become almost a part of the Korean cuisine culture--again, just not traditional. The translation of the names of these dishes into English is always done poorly in restaurants sporting this particular cuisine; they dont sound appetizing. However, Chinese House offers the best of these dishes in the area. Their noodles with Black Bean Sauce (or Noodles with Brown Sauce) dish is the main star. Although it sounds Vegan, it isnt. Coupling that with Fried Shrimp in their tangy sauce makes for the ultimate semi-fast food combo. Their bowl of Seafood Chop Suey is pretty good as well. Yeah, its fattening but its Korean fast food. What do you expect?

Just as a quick check, there are two "San Soo Kap San" restaurants on yelp, and this place is actually "San Soo Kap San 2" as its neon sign indicates. I was confused where to put my review because I havent been to the original one yet. Anyway, I came here about three times with my family and even though this is a popular Korean BBQ place, I always get "Hwe Naeng Myun" (an iced vermicelli noodle with raw fish mixed in hot and spicy sauce) because this place can make it as good as the one I had in Korea. My mother-in-law also enjoys their Naeng Myun and whenever we lose our appetite, we come over here and eat this noodle. We had their beef combo once and it was decent. While the quality indeed was good, the price was too steep for us. I might have given 4 stars due to a steep price, if it wasnt for those delicious banchan (side dishes)!!!

Wow has this place gone down the hill. My parents and I have been coming here sporadically over the last 10 years and the quality has seriously decreased over time. The service used to be much better and the food quality was better too. The only thing that has gone up is price. And instead of the salad bar they used to have, they have a big case to show off their new darling - dry aged beef. Case in point - they have a $200 combo dinner for 4 that includes the dry aged beef and a bottle of wine. Doesnt sound like a great deal at all. Their kalbi is $35 each, which is pretty freaking pricey. The meat was thin and not that tender at all. Overall, dont think it was worth $35. Also they only give you 6-7 banchan, one egg custard, and a small salad. Not worth your money!

Food is average. VERY overpriced In restaurant service was terrible. Delivery even worse. Look elsewhere for better Korean food with better prices. I ordered for delivery here without a problem. A few weeks later I tried to order again. They said they dont deliver on weekends due to how busy it is. Which is completely understandable. Then i tried ordering today (Monday 05/09/2016) and apparently the 4 min bike ride for the delivery guy was too much for the poor thing. So they denied me service. I guess these people are getting enough business to turn people away.

Love coming here for KBBQ. One of the obvious reasons is for the amazing food. Tons of side dishes with delicious stews/soups. As a Korean, I look for KBBQ restaurants that have dishes that tastes home cooked and hearty and San Soo Kap San does exactly that. The second reason I love coming here is the fact that there is valet parking that is validated by the restaurant. The first 2 hours of parking is free. I will continue to be a regular here. One of the best KBBQ spots in Queens.

Pretty good restaurant. Their galbi is good but their aged meats arent worth it in my opinion. Save the aged meats craving for a real steakhouse and get what they specialize in here which is Korean BBQ. Also there is valet parking but no parking lot.

Very tasty meats and great kimchi! Great for families and groups. They cook the meat over charcoal heat which doesn’t smoke and it is delicious! It is well ventilated and our clothes didnt smell like meat or bbq after leaving.

Pretty authentic Korean food at this place. The service is always quick. Theres a free salad bar for all patrons, which includes jello (nice!). They give free dduk-guk (rice cake soup) out on Korean new years eve every year.

My go to for KBBQ. Good sides. Good service. Usually busy on the weekends; maybe a 10-20 min wait. For me, its worth it. Little disappointed that I saw a "B" rating on the door last time.

Great kalbi and service. The side dishes are also of good quality; dont be afraid to so for more. The kalbi is especially good with garlic (roasted over the grill).
