The Buns I sampled were amazing! The ones I tried were 1. Crispy tofu shiitake 2. Artichoke 3. Pork jowl 4. Crispy fried chicken The crispy tofu with shiitake was amazing. Lots of flavor bordering on the sweeter side. It was a delicious bun when paired with my ommegang witte. The artichoke. Let me first say that I am a carnivore. Vegetarian dishes better have a wow factor because as a veracious meat eater I have a pretty high standard (must contain meat protein). Let me further say that this was my number two pick out of all the buns. Incredible flavor. Super savory with a hint of pickling. Fantastic bun, the sauce used seemed like a chipotle style aioli. The pork jowl. Obviously this was the creme de la creme. Flavor. Smokiness, juicy, tender, simply amazing. I will be back for more of these. Hopefully this place is like White Castle and you can order a crave case of them. Crispy fried chicken. While enticing I found the chicken a bit under seasoned. White meat dredged and fried lacked some seasoning other than the sauce and the toppings inside the bun. I would most certainly eat this again if placed in front of me but I wouldnt make the hike just for this specific bun. I tried the kimchi back. Its a shot of Jameson followed by a chaser of kimchi juice. Dont knock it. I know it sounds insane. But it was DELICIOUS!!! Im not a Jameson fan by any means but this chaser made it incredibly smooth and I wanted another. I didnt get to sample the pork fat edamame sadly I thought they were plain edamame until it was too late. I can only imagine how delicious they were. All the more reason to return for a complete meal. All together my experience was fantastic. A great neighborhood hideaway that you can easily miss unless youre looking for it. Come give this place a try. Youll love the food and drink.

So, this place has a laid-back, cozy vibe and offers some pretty unique and tasty food options. I had two buns (spicy Korean fried chicken and jackfruit) as well as the sticky fries. Everything came out quick and the service was friendly. All the food was very good, with the best and most unique being the jackfruit bun. Their menu lists a "spam and cookie butter bun", which I would be curious to try next time! One quick note: ordering two buns and fries, after tax and tip, set me back twenty bucks. Certainly wont break the bank, but Im not sure it fits in the "cheap eats" category (which is how I found Bunsmith in the first place), either. Still, this is a cool place with good food, and I would come here again.

¡Perfecto! Música agradable, comida deliciosa y los meseros son un amor. Estuvimos en la víspera de año nuevo y todo estuvo genial. Si necesitas alguna cosa extra en tu comida ellos hacen lo posible por darte gusto. Es un must have de Brooklyn.

The bowls they offer look interesting but you dont come to a place called Bunsmith without ordering the buns. I tried a variety off their menu but the best one was the Korean Fried Chicken. The crisp of the chicken goes well with the soft steamed bun and the pickled daikon adds a nice crunch. Not sure if they still serve the sweet and spicy fries anymore which was pretty good but all of their sides are fusion so worth a try for those that are curious.

Food was excellent. Ordered the pork jowl bowl, artichoke bun, spicy chicken bun, and the soy garlic bun. The artichoke bun was a bit salty and not that great. Should have went with the tofu instead. Only one bathroom available for the whole place, but it was spacious, clean, and had towels. Street parking was easy to find since it wasnt that busy when I went. Only problem is the small portions for the price.

Really awesome place to kit it after a long day at work. The Owner and bartenders are super kind and genuine. You can totally feel comfortable coming alone here. Also the fact that they have soju and makeoli is amazing! Dont expect to get traditional korean meals here. But do bring your friends and have a bottle of soju with some buns for happy hour or emotional talk hour XD.

So this place was fantastic! The food may take a while to come out but the great music, service, and atmosphere make the time pass by quickly. Its also very kid friendly, my daughter loved it. We had the bulgogi, soy ginger chicken, pork jowl, and soft shell crab buns. Which I recommend to anyone who comes here. All in all Im definitely coming back here in the future.

Id come here if I was local, but dont make the journey for it. The concept is cool but the food was only decent. I found the buns to be a little dry and overstuffed (meaning theyd break as you ate them). Dont get the spam and cookie butter - its a gimmick. The appetisers (cauliflower and artichoke) were great.

Relatively expensive for the portion size and ingredients. Delicious food, just not so delicious that its worth that price. Jackfruit buns are delicious but the mushroom one wins in my book. They also randomly got rid of their happy hour so now its even more expensive to treat yourself here.

Great little restaurant with tasty Korean food. I love the bowls with zucchini noodles. They taste awesome and are guilt reduced ;) if you want something sweet to finish your meal, get the cookie butter bun (without spam). We loved it!

This has become our go-to place in the neighborhood. The food and cocktails are great. The beer selection is small, but has good options. There can be a wait for a table at prime dinner hours on weekends, but typical for this area.

Great Buns. Had the pork jowel, korean fried chicken and grilled artichoke. Excellent taste, texture especially in this combination. Very chill place to grab a couple drinks and some buns.

Hardly Korean apart from some inspired seasoning, but still great food. The Pork Jowl bowl is a must-have, along with the fried chicken bun and spicy jackfruit bun.

Bunsmith is, more accurately, a Korean fusion restaurant, not a Korean restaurant. The food was fresh, very good. It was missing the very spicy Korean dishes.

The place feels like Brooklyn and the food is good but if you order a bowl with the fried chicken you will get only three pieces and a lot of rice to cover..

Good but not traditional Korean BBQ. Service was a little slow but waitress was great. I will be back for the buns. This is slide to home.
