best japanese food on long island ... much much better under new ownership and they also have great korean food (kimchi, kalbi, bulgogi, bibimbap (dolsot), etc.) sashimi is very very fresh service is great ... friendly, attentive, but not over-bearing better than kotobuki (and ive been going to kotobuki for over 20 years) by far ... for example ... try the hiyashi wakami and ceviche at both places ... kurofunes is so so so much better, and compare the prices ... kurofune is definitely not more expensive ....

Best Japanese and Korean food in Commack/Dix Hills area. Friendly Staff/Owners with Great service that makes you feel like family. Outstanding favorites are the Canadian Wakame Salad, Chilean Sea Bass, Chirashi, Tekka Don and the Japanese Sushi Dinner. Never had a bad meal here. Also they now have a wheelchair accessible ramp.

Kurofune has become our weekly go to for superb, authentic sushi. The owners are always friendly and welcoming and the service and food are always top notch. There are Many Japanese restaurants in the area but none can compare to Kurofune.

Absolutely exquisite preparation. The bento box dinner special and hot sake, together, were extremely satisfying. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody that appreciates Japanese cuisine.

Had the bibimbap, tasted excellent. Served with miso soup and Korean style salad. Service quick and responsive. Main dish took quite a bit to arrive, but not long enough to raise a brow.

Good sushi place. At 8 oclock on a Friday it wasnt packed so we got our food and seating nice and prompt. Cant go wrong. Also its very homey
