Im a little upset with this places food. I was at BJs about 5 minutes away on a Saturday night at around 7pm and decided to pick up 2 sushi dinners for my wife and I to surprise her. I got sashimi deluxe and she got a 3 roll dinner (2 spicy salmon w/ avocado and crunchies and a salmon avocado roll). I went in to pick up the food and the place was empty on a Saturday Night at 7:30 pm. I mean empty, no one in the store at all. I wanted to just walk out and leave the food because I thought it was odd, but $42 later I went home with the food. The food definitely wasnt fresh as there was some white tuna in my meal that smelt very bad and the yellow tail smelt very bad. This was after I ate the tuna and 2 pieces of salmon which I then realized "I shouldnt eat this". My wife at 2 pieces of the roll and said, "is this good???" I immediately threw it all out. I didnt call the place, I probably should have but I really didnt even want to think about it anymore. I am rating it a 2 star instead of 1 star because my wife and I did not throw up or get food poisoning. Thats the only positive out of this situation.

I really love this place. When I call the woman Ginny answers and says "hello Michele?" lol- they are so sweet and they have good food.Fast delivery too. My favorites are the nade yaki udon noodle soup, the fluke in ponzu and the freedom roll (hello lobster tempura and cream cheese? yes please)- everything is always fresh I hope nothing changes they are just right.

Weve been going to New Sakura every Friday night for over 4 years. We no longer even place an order since owner / Chef Yoon Hahn knows exactly what we like and often surprises us with different dishes. If you like to try new things and want something a little different from the usual standard sushi, try this place.

The best and freshest Sushi on Long Island by far, we have tried many places hands down the BEST! Friendly staff and owners we are always treated like family! We no longer live in the area but travel to Hauppauge to have the best sushi about 40 minute drive its worth it!

I walked in happy & friendly. I had trouble communicating with the staff. They messed up my order & didnt give me wasabi or ginger with my sushi. Sushi was subpar too. The place looks nice inside, but I dont think Im going to go back. I have a bad taste in my mouth. :-(

Food was okay, but for the price...definitely not worth it! The dishes was all very cold.( I ordered all hot dishes) The only nice thing about the place was the waitress was very friendly.

If you dont know anything about good sushi, you will find this place fine. Also seems like a lunch place.. its grocery store grade sushi made when you arrive
