This place is a candidate for entry into the "Twilight Zone!" It is uncanny how the reviews for this establishment are "all over the map" with some people despising it and others raving about it; are we talking about the same diner people? The truth is that this place is huge but is a "has been" - "once was" kind of environment, not like back in the day when there were a ton of clubs and people would flock here after 4 A.M. when the clubs closed. Since the area has seen a renaissance of sorts, the former clientele have moved on, while this place stays stuck in the past (decor) and a certain deterioration in the quality of the food. For the most part, the place "looks nice" from the outside and certainly the booths are gigantic BUT . . . . its time has come and gone and without immediate updating to its aesthetics and a revamp of the menu and quality of the food, for now, it lends itself to a gathering place for local seniors and related to kibitz for hours over a cup of coffee.

It is the second time I ate here , and definitely it will be the last. You would think that being charged 9 dollars plus for 2 eggs with bacon, everything would be nice and fresh. However the bacon tasted foul like it was spoiled, and the coffee had that chemical taste. The toast was soggy, and the homefries were all clumped together in one tastless mush No peppers, onions or anything flavorful. As we first entered the parking lot my wife asked me if I was sure I wanted to go here. Why do I never listen to her ?? Why.??.. It is Sunday, beautiful weather out, but here I am needing to make this review, because Thats how disgusted I am with that place!

The food and service are always satisfying and the atmosphere is pleasant! The menu has a wide variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts to choose from. The Lunch and Dinner Specials are very reasonably priced and the portions are very generous. The Bridgeview also has a separate room for private parties and a gigantic parking lot which is very hard to find in Bay Ridge restaurants. We have introduced the Bridgeview to many people from out of town and locally. So far, everyone was impressed with the polite staff, delicious food and friendly atmosphere!

Good diner in Dycker Heights in Brooklyn. The food is delicious. There are always specials (lunch, dinner, breakfast). The are open 24 hours a day/7 days a week. I have had more than one entree. I had the broiled scrod with real mashed potatoes, and broccoli for lunch. The side salad was huge. The soup was homemade (Yankee bean). It was very cold. The soup arrived hot. The waitress was okay. Nothing spectacular but she was very friendly and helpful. The rolls were warm, soft, and crusty on the outside. Prices are more than reasonalbe.

Be careful of what they put on your receipt! A wrap is Not $17.75, especially when its not a platte, and just a wrap. The service is neutral, some people can be extremely nasty but some you just wanna hug. The atmosphere is okay for a local diner to get in and to get out. It would have been a 3 star-4 star but they dropped down when they ripped me and my friends off on our food, what a nasty crowd! In conclusion, there are other local diners that care abiut their service and customers.

This is my familys favorite Bay Ridge diner. Even when they visit me at my apartment in Brooklyn Heights, this is the diner they prefer to get breakfast at. The staff are friendly, the menu is large, and its pretty cheap. As it is a diner, dont expect the pancakes and waffles that come with fruit to come with fresh fruit. Itll mostly come with a heaping side of candied strawberries. Nevertheless, its a large space and has a park lot. Great breakfast or brunch option.

My family has been going here since 1985. We have always enjoyed the food and the staff as well. It has always been a good experience. With the new management, the menu was upgraded, as were the prices. I dont mind paying a little more, but I hate being nickled and dimed. We were told this week that if I shared my food with my daughter, I would be charged a "sharing fee." That is bogus. We each ordered a dinner, and I have the right to do what I want.

Some of my family had been there before and loved it. This time around the service the terrible, the owner/manager was rude and the food was just alright. The waitress rushed us and acted like we were a burden and the busboy accused me of telling the waitress that I asked him 3 times for a box when I never said anything! I would never go to this place again or ever recommend it! So rude!

Ah, the local diner. Where breakfast is served all day and so are the dinner specials. Where the backed goods are King Kong sized and the coffee is strong. This place doesnt disappoint. I have been here many times and have always had good food. The chocolate chip pancakes are superb. The service is shotty at times. It depends on how busy it is but that is part of going to a diner.

I dont know how this place stays open. Both times I went the food was cold and the service was slow. The spanish omlette was scrambled eggs with tasteless salsa slopped on. The only appeal is that its open late, but you should go to the Fort Hamilton Diner instead. Really, save your money, unless you just want someplace to sit in a booth and snooze for a while.

First time there with my family, and will be the last. Waitress was so rude! Never introduced herself, she had a smart remark to everything. Made a racist remark to my father, "Do you have a cousin in the back ? His name is Pablo." (Referring to the cook) Food was good the service is what made my family uncomfortable. Never again!

This diner is very clean and the staff that they have working there are nice. Me and my girlfriend went here for dinner the other night and the food was good as it usually is and the waitress we had was helpful and had a nice personality. Her name is katrena. Definitely going back and will tell friends and etc about this diner.

Its obvious what these people are passionate about... and its not your satisfaction. From the moment you enter and greeted like you shouldnt have came in. From the moody attitude to the terrible food this place should have went out of business a long time ago. You can go if you thoroughly enjoy getting robbed.

Everytime I have breakfast I am satisfied, other meals like pastas and rubens are bland. Wait stuff and bus boys are super nice I dont know what everyone is talking about, servce is excellent but the dont season their food. Late night trips are great though, get some cake and hot chocolate your set.

Used to be one great, every so often kind of place, classy and clean. Within the last month, theyve undergone a major price increase. Sorry, an eleven dollar omelette (plus tax and tip) needs to taste better than average diner food. Also, get a mop in that mens room, will ya? Fun while it lasted.
