I stopped in for lunch today and ordered their Wickedwich sandwich and roasted corn salad. The sandwich was delicious. Ive always been a fan of honey and chicken (especially friend chicken). The sandwich was served hot and contained lots of pickles, red onions, and just the right amount of honey spread on the bun. Im not a big fan of their sides, but the corn salad provides a nice "healthy" balance to a fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich (and all sandwiches) was served with a huge buttermilk biscuit. The biscuit was about the same size as the sandwich and was served warm and was perfectly soft on the inside. With a little butter and honey, itll make you close your eyes and immediately crack a smile. Although HCC is a bit on the pricier side, its worth the occasional visit.

....The fried chicken is just not good. This is the second time Ive been here. The first time I had the chicken sandwich and cheesy mash potatoes. It was simply "ok". I figured Id give it a try the second go around. I ordered the breast & wing combo with fries. BAD IDEA. I couldnt even finish my meal. Im shocked theyve been open for so long especially with shack shake being across the street. I live walking distance and always wanted to give it a try. Ill be going back to Shac As previous reviews states, you are better just going to shake shack or Popeyes.

Okay these 1 and 2 star reviews are ridiculous. Lets be clear - the chicken here is f$%#ing delicious - but just get the sandwiches - forget the pieces- and the pies are pretty good to. Im removing 2 stars because its waaaay overpriced for chicken. I mean I get it- its higher end or whatever - but 10 dollars for a chicken sandwich? - and they basically give you half a sandwich! You have to pay like 4 dollars to basically get a full size sandwich (they call it super sizing).

Great overall experience. Staff was very attentive. Food was awesome. I was on the go so I didnt get to eat my food til about a half hour from purchase. To my surprise the chicken held up. Very juicy and well seasoned, I found it to even be sweet at times. Biscuits and fresh cut fries were great too. My girlfriend enjoyed the corn salad as well. Looking forward to visiting this location again and maybe its BBQ sister.

Lapin and I used to come here often for their fried chicken. The fried chicken is hearty, delicious and crunchy. However, I noticed lately the quality has gone down. My food comes out cold, fries are soggy and they forget an item. Along with the prices going up. I paid $13.07 for two chicken tenders, buttermilk biscuit and a fountain Boylan soda (which is super watered down and loses its flavor in a matter of minutes)

Bad service : had to wait for an unknown reason while nobody was in front of me and the cashier was wandering in the empty place. Dirty place : all tables looked dubious, the trash was full and the soda area was covered with spillage. The fries were overlooked as over salty. Only thing that save the place was the chicken tenders that were correct.

My first time in this place was yesterday. I had the chicken and waffles. I found the fried chicken breast too small and too greasy. I tasted the salt but nothing else. The waffle was average. I heard the tenders are good. I might venture back for that. Theres nothing like first time around. They leave a lasting impression.

I used to come here a lot. The grilled chicken sandwich was delicious and high quality chicken. Recently (within the past two months) they mustve changed where they are getting their chicken from (at least for the grilled chicken) as the chicken has lost all taste and has an unpleasant consistency.

Delicious chicken! Fried or grilled - its still great. Sandwiches are made with cutlets not filler meat. The also have home made desserts. Its a little pricey but worth the try. Staff is friendly and fast. There maybe a line but it moves. Getting your food itself takes a little bit of a wait.

The coleslaw was off, the chicken was overcooked, they forgot our sauces, and forgot one of the biscuits we paid for on the order. The tenders were good, but it left a literal and metaphorical bad taste in our mouths over all. pass. Theres better chicken.

Unlike hill country BBQ next door, I really like this place. I work in downtown Brooklyn and eat here about every other week. Isnt the healthiest since it is a fried chicken place, but the quality is great. I get the 2 tenders and corn salad side.

It takes a lot to be my favorite fried chicken joint in the city. Hill Country wins top honors. Its about fried chicken, front and center. Try the, fried chicken (duh), the sandwiches and the fried chicken cobb salad. All great!

I ordered the deluxe meal breast and wing, mac & cheese and mash potatoes. The chicken was very dark which means old oil, it had no taste. Mac & cheese was nothing special along with the mash potatoes. I want my $19 dollars back!!

I like the hill country chicken on the 25th st in Manhattan. So I came here expecting the same quality. But I was wrong. The chicken thigh and drums were super small and dry. Probably never gonna go to this location again

HORRIBLE service from Janet. Mixed up my order terribly. Do not be fooled by the raves the food is disgusting and I would NEVER return. They should be ashamed to charge those prices for chicken that has no taste.

This was the worst chicken Ive ever had. One piece was so undercooked, I almost got sick. The other piece was so overcooked it looked burnt. Was not impressed at all. Very expensive lunch, WASTED. WONT BE BACK!

The service was great, very friendly staff. Only problem was when I got home to the Bronx and opened my sandwich, half of the chicken was burnt! Since I was already home, I couldnt take it back.

Savory soul food, fried chicken served up however you like it. Family style, informal seating, and the large order sizes make it easy to share. Good location with lots of nearby transit options.

Chicken tenders are huge and very well seasoned. The mashed potatoes are cool, they have bits of fried potato in them. Casual quick dining experience.

Good fried chicken meals and sandwiches at fair prices. Awesome if you dont have the time for the full Hill country experience next door.
