Went there for a co-workers farewell dinner. The waiters were wonderful, friendly and even funny BUT whoever the tall, heavy set bearded, latino man is (Im assuming he is the manager), he is rude and very unprofessional. Initially, we reserved as a group of 13 but only 10 of us came. We, for the benefit of the restaurant, requested that they remove the extra table so to make it available to other patrons. Needless to say, señor manager, instead of handing this with the waiter beyond our ability to hear or read his lips, he went off on a rant and refused the request. Hey, we were simply doing them a favor by not trying to hog up a table that we didnt need so another dinner party could use it. Still, we stayed and ordered dinner. Although, this individual kind of put a damper on our evening which was going so well. Still, the food was delicious as were the Margaritas. They did drop the 18% service charge for groups because of the situation that had gone down but we still tipped the wait staff accordingly as the managers unprofessionalism had nothing to do with the service they provided, something the honoree made sure to let them know at the end of the night as we left. I personally, dont see myself returning. I think Ill stick to their sister restaurant, Tio Pepe.

My wife and I eat out 4 to 5 nights a week. Living in Bay Ridge we have many choices. Casa Pepe has now become one we will no longer frequent. I always order Stuffed Lobster (Which is Great) and my wife a variety of other dishes. (Again all very good). However; the table for 2 is not large enough to fit everything and when you request a larger table it is always a big hassle. The manager will not allow any exceptions. Last year when I registered a complaint the owner sent me a $100.00 gift certificate and assured me this situation would not happen again. We usually spend @ 100.00 or more for dinner but we refuse to be treated with such a Gestapo attitude. Saturday July 24 at 6:30 PM we were denied a table in the garden room even though there were many empty tables. The wait staff is great, the food is fantastic and the prices reasonable. But the manager cost this place business because of his attitude. This situation has also occurred with friends of ours and they also have taken the great place off their list of places to dine. I can only guess the Manager is the owners son-in-law.

I was here a couple of years ago and decided to come back with my girlfriend because the interior is cozy .The waiters are nice and professional but the food is horrible.I ordered paella and fried octopus and guacamole .The paella was boiled yellow rice that was swimming in water from the lobster tail .The 2 shrimps in the paella looked like they were microwaved and then thrown in.The pathetic amount of seafood in the so called paella was clearly boiled and thrown into the rice . The fried octopus was way too salty to eat.My stomach is bloated and in pain from this horrible excuse of a Spanish restaurant .Their guacamole is made fresh in front of you and its top notch.Other than the guac there is no reason to go to this restaurant unless you have no clue what proper Spanish food is supposed to taste like .Their bar might give you an opportunity to catch a one night stand with a cougar if your into that type of thing ,otherwise stay away.

Went there with a friend for my Birthday dinner Oct. 13th which a friend wanted to pay for.I looked online at their site and they advertised a 1 1/4 pond lobster with either soup or salad desert and coffee for $30.00,was thinking of my friends pocket and not looking to go expensive,to get and to be told this items on their site does not exist, wound uo ordering something else, Paella which was just ok,would have gone to Sanchos for a Great Paella dish.Checked the web site today and same price listed for the lobster special which I had told the waiter about. Our bill was way to high for something we didnt want to order in the first place, over $100.00 for dinner with one drink for me not my dinning partner she drank water.Get your site adjusted and dont lure in people with false advertising.

I have been to Casa Pepe several times in the past, but I dont recall enjoying myself as much as I did this most recent time. My family & I had an amazing time. The food & drinks were excellent, and the waiters were very courteous. We sat in the covered outdoor section, and were very comfortable there. The orders took a bit long to come out, but everything else was great. We even found a spot across the street, which is rare for Bay Ridge. We cant wait to go back there now.

The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy, very elegant place. The red sangria is really good, but I was a little disappointed with the Paella. It was good but it lacked that distinct seafood flavor which makes a Paella a Paella. The waiters were very courteous and the service over all was very good. Id definitely go back, perhaps order something different. Margaritas on the rocks were awesome.

This has to be the best Mexican restaurant that I have been to. The food is incredible, and plentiful. The restaurant itself is very well designed and is very welcoming. The prices arent outrageous either. Its just an overall amazing restaurant. Being a South Jersey resident, My girlfriend and I will definitely be making the commute to this place when we can. Highly recommended.

The best were the guacamole prepared right at the table with fresh avocados and welcoming staff. The quality of the food had declined since I was here last. The sangria tasted like a bottle of cheap rum was dumped on it. The meat tasted burn and the rice and beans had not taste. The avocado that came with the plate appeared to be prepared a while ago and it tasted awful.

Love guacamole? Here they will it for you in front of you. The drinks are good and the mojito itself worth the visit. The mojito, with their Costillas adobadas, can really make the night amazing. What I did not like, and they need to work on, is the time between ordering the food and the time it gets to the table. The service was very good, just the kitchen too slow.

I took my wife & son to casa pepes on mothers day and although the restuarant was busy the staff were quick and attentive and explained everything well. although we had 3 starters, 3 main courses desserts and several drinks the bill was still under $200 with tip. all in all its a great place with friendly helpful staff.
