Came in with a few friends on the Friday before July 4th weekend at around 3. We were able to get a table right away but probably only because it was a holiday weekend and everyone was away already. For a regular night after normal work hours, I can see it getting packed. I ordered the beer flight - 4 4 oz. samples of your choice of beers for $12. I cant remember exactly which beers I chose but I went with the darker end of the spectrum. I remember liking only two because one of them was warm, and the other tasted like sour feet. I cant say much about the food but my friend ordered some kind of beef stew french fries topped with an egg, which I of course stole a few bites. Im not sure if this was a German dish but it was an interesting concept. Not one Id order again though. There are tons of other beer/food options on this block so if you skip Bavaria Bier Haus, Im sure youre not missing out on much.

A new German Restaurant, opening just a few months ago. It is a nice, new space, with a large, high ceilinged bar area downstairs as well as an upstairs area. The interior is beautiful-- elegant glass lights hang over the bar, there are wooden tables and wooden paneling on the walls.I was informed that the bar was imported from Germany, where it was made. Waiters and Waitresses wear the traditional lederhosen and dirndls. The menu is mostly German including wursts, wiener schnitzel, and spaetzel. There are also some standard pub staples like french fries and burgers. The pretzel is enormous and delicious. It was was very fresh with a nice, slightly buttered crust. It came with mustard, a cheese sauce, and some cornichons. I did not have beer, but there appeared to be at least 10 beers on tap plus about 10 more bottled beers on the menu, all of which were German. A nice, new addition to Stone Street.

Came here for dinner & a show for my brothers birthday and was not impressed. Jazz isnt my kind of thing anyway so I will refrain from reviewing it because that is more personal preference so lets talk about dinner. I am a foodie. I had hoped since I knew I wouldnt really enjoy the music maybe the food would be good. I was immediately worried right away when I saw the menu because it is one of those places that has everything you can imagine on the menu (pasta, chicken, sandwiches, steak) and specializes in nothing. Not a good sign. I went with the Caesar salad and decided, for $8 to add grilled shrimp. How many shrimp would you expect for $8? I know we are in Manhattan but I audibly gasped when my salad was placed in front of me with TWO shrimp. It was not even that I wanted more, but if you are going to add 2 shrimp, charge $3-4, not $8***

Stopped in randomly looking for a Dunkel beer and was pleased to find it here. I totally forget the bartenders name that was on shift as she was really great and I had a good chat while drinking my beer in this really nice place. There were only 2 staff on when I was there but she is definitely someone I could see calling her a friend outside of her work as she was just that genuine. The atmosphere was European and pleasant. The food I had was tasty and of course they had great Bavarian beer.

Great place to have food and drinks! I first came here for a speed dating event hosted by NY Minute Dating. The place is really cute. It has 2 levels. The staff is very friendly and the drinks and food are great. I have come here a few times since then with some friends...We all like this place. I am craving one of their German pretzels right now actually. Maybe Ill stop by after work - whos coming with me? :)

The beer options are good, but dont bother trying to eat anything. They are overpriced and under deliver. With so many options available on Stone Street there are many other places to go. The worst has to be the blaring music - they repeated the same 4 songs continuously for nearly 1.5 hours.

The way to go Bavarian ! The Erdinger selection is off the charts. Food is what you would expect, real German ! good stop, will end up being the last of the day.... Dunkleweizen or any Erdinger weiss will keep you from going anywhere else. No need to wait for Oktober. Prost !!!

I ve been living in bavaria for years and this pub is nothing to do with a bavarish bierhaus. the service is one of the worst i ve never had before. I ordered a bretzel and ask please not add nothing. So all plenty of fat.. For what asking.. ? really very very bad...

The sausages were excellent however, the potatoes lacked seasoning. Asked for the burger to be cooked med rare, came out well done and dry as cardboard. Potato pancakes were decent, nothing special. Waitress was nice and full of energy, the hostess was rude.

Place was really crowded but service was attentive. Id give it the full 5 if I wasnt bathing in sweat from an inadequate cooling system. The veal schnitzel was phenomenal, as was the pretzel. I would definitely journey here multiple times for this.

Walking in here was like a time warp, back to my time in Augsburg. The atmosphere is outstanding. If they played bad techno music, I wouldnt be able to tell the difference! Great food, great service. And, of course, great beir!

Had a lovely time here with my boyfriend. Went on a Friday night and, because its the financial district, it was almost empty. The pretzel was really good and the beer flights were excellent. Would definitely recommend.

Great place but, the staff has a tendency to occupy your spot for their friends at the bar as soon as you leave for restroom even with your drink at your spot with a napkin on top of your drink.

Weißbier mit Zitronensaft. Irgendwie ein schlechter Scherz für einen Münchner

Nice beer selection, helles is not often found even in "Bavarian" bars in the US. If there were weisswurst and/or schweinhaxn then it would be 5 stars for sure!

Pretty average beer joint. Nothing remarkable and not authentic in any way. The beer selection is decent but the place feels forced. Service is ok tho.

We only stopped for an after dinner drink and the beers were good. We didnt try any food, but they get a 4 based on the bartenders customer service.

Beer selection is undoubtedly German / Austrian, but the selection is limited, so come here if you are fine with the staples -- lager and weiss

Probably the worst schnitzel Ive ever had. Drinks were also terrible. For an overpriced Stone St. place, they could try a little harder.
