Rude manager!!! We were there on Friday night (03/24/2017) from 9:00 pm to 1:30 and no one else was in the bar. At 1:00 am since they were not serving food anymore, We asked the waiter if we can stay there, order drinks and some food from seamless... the waiter told us ABSOLUTELY!!! When the food arrived, one of the managers came and kicked us out of Porchlight!!! With a very rude and aggressive tone he said, the food stays out, and I dont care who told you that you could bring it inside... I started telling him that his team (waiter) said that I could do so, and his response was: I dont even know who are you talking about?!?!?! I dont care if you never come back to this place, you must get out of here because the food cannot get inside I asked him is this how you treat your customer, his response was: this is how I am treating you, you are not my customer... and all this, is after we closed a $300 tap at that place!!! The manager is one of the rudest people Ive ever seen in my life... I am writing to Union Square Hospitality Group to report this disrespectful behavior!!! He cant get away with it!!! This was my second time going to Porchlight, and am never going back again!!! Coarse and disrespectful!!!!

We finally made the trek over to Porchlight, and it was worth the walk. The bartenders were awesome, attentive, and knowledgeable, and they were really cranking out drinks. Drinks were creative and delicious. The ambiance of this place was very cool...and they were playing great music. Really, everything was 5 stars except for one thing, the crowd. We were in on a Friday night and the place was exceptionally packed. It was one of the more pretentious and annoying crowds of singles that I have been around in a while. Most conversation vacillated between name dropping financial firms that people worked out and awful drunken pick up attempts. At one point, there was a couple literally making out at the end of the bar. It was like someone took a frat house and dropped it into a midtown cocktail bar. I seriously saw more vodka martinis and vodka tonics served in one night than I have seen served in the last few years combined! Its really a shame, because the cocktails are great and the bartenders really know what they are doing. As much as I like this place, I have to admit the crowd will probably keep me away, at least on weekend evenings.

On the first visit, it felt like Id been coming here for years. Great atmosphere, great food, incredibly welcoming staff, and drinks: try the Gun Metal Blue (mezcal and blue curaçao are a surprisingly great combination) and they really do make a perfect Sazerac. Since it was only the second official night, there were some menu items that were not available, like the burger or the "blue oyster cult." Cant wait to try em. But what they did have were small plates that were mixed the traditional and the original in ways that also were brilliant and surprising. The Swordfish and Fixins was like small tastes of sushi on tiny seeded cracker. The Toms Balls (yeah, yeah, I know...) are a combo of boudin sausage and rice that are worth fighting over. Lastly, the best example of southern hospitality anywhere! But Im not giving up my rocking chair! Looking forward to being a regular here. I already feel like one.

I am a native New Yorker and will keep to the directness of how we are known to be :) Drinks: Great. Nice wine selection. They also have a nice specialty drink selection. I recommend the Blue Smoke. Food: Great! Its Southern so, you have to have the backyard BBQ! Make you smack your mama good ribs :) Also, try the bison burger. Space: Very large space where the South meets sleek NYC lounge/bar. This place is not only modern, sleek and the sexiest Southern inspired place Ive been in. Scene: Very casual. Conducive to mixing and mingling. Good for get-togethers, afterwork drinks and date night. Crowd: Afterwork scene. Pick-up scene. Mostly a 30s-40s crowd. Mostly suits. Service: Courteous and professional.

Very rude Manager - Michael Shain!! Even one star review is too much for these guys! We were there on Friday night and after spending almost $300 and closing the tap we asked about the time that they will closed which they said 2am but suddenly when we were waiting for our food around 1 am the manager Michael Shain asked us to leave IMPOLITELY and extremely DISRESPECTFUL!! He wasnt afraid to use the F words when he was talking to us!! It was my first and last time going to this place. Ill write to Union Square Hospitality Group to report this behavior!! Michael Shain The manger was the most disrespectful manager which Ive ever seen. I dont recommend this place at all!

Gemütliche Atmosphäre, weiträumig mit viel Platz. Netter Service, gutes Essen und Cocktails. Barrierefrei!

One of my favorite bars in the city. Porchlight features a wildly inventive cocktail menu that changes seasonally (the bourbon soda they bottle is remarkable!), great service, a great vibe and even a cool game-room with darts and vintage board games. A great place to take an out-of-towner for a drink that will impress, or to meet a friend for a first-rate drink and great atmosphere.

great bar for drinks. The bartenders really take the time to make the drinks. It is far from any public transportation but does get crowded from the people working in the area especially from the Starrett-lehigh building. During Lunch it is fairly less busy, their food is pretty good also since the place started from people that started shake shack.

Quaffed here post Sleep No More, and I suppose theyre riding on the affluence of that demographic as the cocktails were about $15 a pop - but arguably very delicious. Had a variation in the negroni which was quite good and some late night experiment with a splash of IPA in it. Everyone in my party enjoyed theirs as well.

They have board games in the back. Im not sure if you can bring yours but they have a great space for it with lots of lighting. In the bar/restaurant area they have great food. Pricey but I like the bison burger and chicken with egg. The chicken was my favorite. Drinks are also good including the nonalcoholic beverages.

Spacious interiors, good for hanging out with a big group. Refreshing selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. I enjoyed the Sour Cherry Rickey flavored soda. I also really appreciated the design details they put into the customized coasters, matches and other decorations around the space.

Porchlight is fantastic. The drinks were amazing. We tried 2 different types and both were great especially with HH prices. Also had 2 orders of the kickn chicken. Crazy spicy but also so addictively tasty. Highly recommend oh and quite the fun crowd for Friday after work.
