Always looking for a new place to eat in Astoria Queens, a veritable wonderland of ethnic eateries. Just noticed this fresh appealing corner shop with welcoming open-air front, but its been there almost a year. My favorite Korean comfort classics are accessible at reasonable prices on the lunch special menu: Bulgogi, Kalbi, Bibimbap. It was a tough call between the bowl and noodle plates, but I got for just 10.95 the Bulgogi Jab-Chae: Warm sweet potato noodles, savory lean meat bits, generous peppers, mushrooms, and greens appealingly presented on lovely dishes with steel designer chopsticks. Seems like they always have Kalbi (short ribs) and Gochujang (Pork Belly) at the ready, so if you are jones-ing for those flavors, theyve got em here. Although those higher end items are not as low priced as the lunch special. Very pleasant and professional proprietor with emphasis on nice service, cleanliness, and quality of ingredients (lean meat with no unnecessary fat, nor gristle/oiliness; vegetables well-cooked but still crispy and easy to chew). If I lived in the area Id go back frequently. Anyway itll be my go-to place when in the area.

This restaurant is ridiculous. Been supporting this place since it first opened. Ive notice this place is never EVER busy and now i know why, their Customer service his horrendous. Today i had to canceled my oder because i was told they would have to charge a 1$ for a side if aioli that comes with their french frise. Are they kidding me??? How ridiculous is that? The waitress said that that their owners told them to charge for everything. i would understand if i was ordering something like a actual dish item, but chargeing aioli is ridiculous. Message to the owners: Quess what you just lost a paying customer and will never come back. People dont waste you money in this place.

I am from the west coast and have frequented "K-town" many times in LA and never thought that I could find clean gourmet Korean with attention to detail and beautifully cut proteins. I am very happy to say that Mokja exceeded my expectations. The staff was very attentive and the brussel sprouts with Chorizo and Kimchee was off the charts good! Korean wings with cubed daikon in sauce- amazing! The sliders were so tender you have a hard time distinguishing between the egg bun and the protein- heaven! I dont often review a restaurant but I had to speak out for this brand new establishment bringing amazing food to Astoria!

I live very close to Mojka, so I come here often. Food is really good. They have an American Korean menu and an a large selection of traditional Korean. Service is good when they arent busy, but they should have another waitress during peak hours. There is a surprisingly solid beer selection which I wouldnt expect from a Korean spot. Overall, if you enjoy Korean and reasonable priced beer, come here. There is this one waitress that has been there since it first opened and is there every time I go. Dont know her name, but shes awesome.

Food is very good as is the service. Portions are healthy. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. I could go without the Korean gangsta rap while Im eating my dinner but thats the only thing is change. Get the bibimbap in the hot stone bowl. Its exquisite. The chicken wings Steve bon chon but also very good.

Kimchi Fries: Who knew kimchi and french fries would go so well together. Korean Fried Chicken Wings: Sauce was good, however, I prefer the wings over at Mad for Chicken instead. Army Stew: Delicious. Great in the winter time, will heat you right up.

Great lunch special and the woman who was working was very helpful. This was my first experience with Korean food and she patiently explained the different menu options and helped me decide. Reasonably priced for how much food you get.

This place is pretty good. Compared to other Korean BBQ in Manhattan, I found it to be a little lackluster. Food was expensive and the quality was not as great as you might find in Korea Town (not too far away..)

Not the best Korean food youll find in Queens but probably the best in this neighborhood. Ive had their bibimbap and kimchi fried rice, both of which were pretty good.

The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The Bibimbap burger is a work of art and tastes as good as it looks. One of my go to restaurants!

Some items are better than the others. The fried wings are worthy. Most of the bbq items are not so great. Foods all tend to be too sweet and not zesty enough.

Terrible service and the korean food is not very authentic, too much msg and the side dishes were not fresh. Do not go here if you want proper korean food.
