Went here for dinner last week with 5 people. They sat us at a table so small all our entrees, bread, and drinks couldnt even fit. We had to scream the waitress name out to get her attention. She was stingy with bread and we had to ask her a million times for water. If you see 5 people, seat them at a nice roomy table and keep the water and bread coming --- ESPECIALLY since we ordered so many alcoholic drinks. The waitress was EXTREMELY rude to my mother when she requested more bread saying -- "There is no more of that bread. Right now. It is baking." Why the HELL did she have to start us off thinking theres no more bread? You just say "I am sorry for the delay its baking and will be out momentarily." She forgot my sisters first drink for 40 minutes and had the nerve to charge us for it. My sister said "My drink, did you ever put it in?" And she said "yes, yes its there...let me go get it." She ran away to get it as my sister tried to tell her she didnt want it anymore. Who wants a drink thats been sitting at the bar for 40 minutes getting God knows what in it? At least make it fresh. GROSS. They didnt give us 2 oil bowls, to me its gross for 5 people to share 1 bowl of oil for the bread. We had to pull our waitress teeth for more oil and bread. My mom didnt have a place setting in the too small for 5 table. The food is very good, but I have a bone to pick with the salad. Its tiny for a $20 entree side, and looks very greasy but has NO taste. I had to add SALT to my SALAD. To top it all off, it is COMMON COURTESY to ASK if we would like to see a dessert menu. These waitresses are trained to push it down our throats. Money hungry. Last time we went to eat here before this, they asked my mother if she would like another cup of wine. She declined, but they brought it anyway, and my mom was too embarassed to say something. The service is HORRIBLE, unattentive to us EVERY time we go for the money we spend. From the very beginning at the small table. I will go here again for the food, but you better believe I will speak up in the beginning and say we need the best table, keep the water and bread coming, the drinks fresh, and if something is tasteless, Ill send it right back. And if the waitress isnt friendly, forget a good tip. The price tag for this place is too high for bad service. Cant believe my sister gave this girl such a high tip. Oh well, wasnt my money, but if it was, it would have been a different situation. I had to give this restaurant 3 stars making it only average, which is a shame because the food is well above average, so is the ambiance, but you gotta have the whole package to get 4 or 5 stars. One last thing. They use MINI martini glasses. There is about 2 to 3 ounces of drink in there, and they charge 10 dollars. Really, really scummy if you ask me.

I had an extremely bad experience at this location with my co-workers. We decided to go out for couple drinks/dinner after work at Tosca Cafe. It was my first time there but all the other colleagues had already been there before. The DJ was playing music as loud as its played in a club. After couple hours drinking and eating, my colleagues started dancing. Another group to our left did the same. I was standing against the bar looking. Prior to the bill being paid, everything seemed to go well, no one had a problem. Right after I checked out for over $400, the bouncer came and said we had to leave because dancing wasnt allowed in the facility. I didnt argue at first. I went there straight from work and still had my suit and tie on, so I wanted to remain professional. We were already leaving anyway so there is no need to attract attention. One of the female colleague left without her hand bag so I told the bouncer to go out call her so she can pick it up because I wasnt gonna let the bag behind me and I certainly wouldnt carry it. He refused to do so, so I stayed at the bar. After maybe 10 mn, I saw her coming, she got her bag and we were quietly making our way to the exit when the same bouncer pushed her from the back and she fell. A verbal altercation started where we were exchanging profanities back and forth. The bouncer, after assaulting the girl and cursing at us, didnt appreciate me swearing at him so walked over to me in a violent way to hurt me. The girl he had just assaulted jumped in the middle and again he pushed her down. The cops got there shortly after and he denied ever pushing her; instead he said she tripped. Such a coward!!! I do not recommend Tosca Cafe to anyone; maybe they should ask their DJ not to play music on Friday nights so that no one is tempted to dance. For my part, I will never return there, I felt disgusted by the whole scene.

I ORDERED FROM THIS RESTURANT LAST NIGHT AROUND 10PM, AND THE FOOD GOT DELIEVERED AN HOUR AND HALF LATE WHICH I FIND VERY UNACCETABLE. I PAID 30$ FOR A CHICKEN WRAP AND AN ORDER OF WINGS, WHICH I DONT MIND PAYING IF THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT, BUT IN THIS CASE IT WAS A WASTE OF MONEY. BY THE TIME THE FOOD GOT DELIEVERED TO MY HOUSE , IT WAS COLD AND UNDERCOOKED, IT WASNT EVEN FRESH. I CALLED THE MANAGER MELISSA LIEBMAN EARLY MORNING AND SHE HAD THE NERVE TO SAY SHE COULD DO NOTHING FOR ME, WHICH I FOUND VERY UNPROFFESIONAL. ALL SHE OFFERED ME WAS AN ORDER OF 2 MINI CANOLIS. IS SHE SERIOUS? TO ANYONE READING THIS REVIEW, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY WHEN DEALING WITH FOOD. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, AND DOESNT MIND DELIEVERING UNCOOKED FOOD, I SUGGEST NOT ORDERING FROM THIS PLACE, FOR ALL I KNOW I PROBABLY GOT SENT THE LEFTOVERS FROM EARLIER IN THE DAY.

Got sick after eating the risotto with mushrooms. It tasted very good, but had stomach problems (diarrehea) right after that. The atmosphere is nice for the Bronx with the outdoor patio. The staff is not very professional and for that reason I would not recommend the place. I had accidentally left my credit card at the store and when I called the following morning the staff member said they did not have it. When I asked for the manager she stated I could not speak with him. It turned out that when I called later on again the manager spoke with me directly and the credit card was there afterall (too bad I had spent a chunk of time cancelling my card with Citibank - stressful).

The customer service was horrible. It was my friends birthday and we called before driving (1hr drive) to see if we needed to make reservations. Emily said we were fine and that we only needed reservations if we were a party of 4 or more which was perfect because it was just the 3 of us. When we arrived the hostess told us it was completely booked and that they were sorry for the inconvenience. I was so upset. That was poor communication on their behalf because we even gave our name and number of our party just in case and Emily said we didnt need it. There was no accommodations made for us. I was so disappointed. Thats one place that will not be getting my money.
