I actually just got delivery from Kiraku. I got a dinosaur roll. Its great, still eating it right now. I also got a miso soup. It was a little cold, but pretty standard. Im not complaining. The delivery guy, however, was a jerk. Im seven months pregnant and I had to walk all the way down to the car to get my food, only then did he step out. My food came up to $16.55, I handed him a $20 bill and he said "keep the change?" I said "will you please give me an opportunity to make a decision about MY money?" He laughed and said "well, I drove 20 minutes to get here." I proceeded to reluctantly give him a $2 tip, which I had intended on giving prior to him asking. Before I departed back into my residence I recommended that he buy a box of tissues for his tears. He laughed. I was serious.

Been coming here for about a year now. Originally it was better than average, but in the past month I dont know what has happened, but the food quality has dropped off. About two weeks ago I ordered sashimi, and the fish just tasted old, couldnt finish it. Blew it off as a bad day which many sushi spots have. Went again today and ordered their named version of Unagi Don, and I have to admit this is was the most rubbery squid Ive ever had. Could not eat it with chopsticks, had to go to a fork and even like that I couldnt cut through it. This area needs a new sushi spot, because the nearest ones barring a drive are too far.

Best lunch spot in the Bronx!! Very nice and quiet place to eat and take a break from the kids or from work. Doesnt look like the type of place I would want to go to for a dinner date though. But other than that, sushi is great, lunch specials are a great price, theres a bar to sit at thats surrounding the chef, which is nice, and the people there are very kind. All things to keep me coming back.

Finally, you can get some decent sushi in the Bronx. One of very few places. The pros - clean place, decent service, fresh sushi. The cons - if you add avocado or cucumber to the roll, youre being charged extra. Its a nominal price of $.75 per roll. But hey..... why not incorporate it into the menu price? Over all, solid four stars!

Great atmosphere and the chef really knows how to put on a show in front of the grill! He juggles the food, blazes fires, makes funny jokes, sings and ends up making you a delicious meal. The owners there are hands on and are particular about making sure everyone is having a good time. This will definitely be my new Sushi spot!

Sushi was delicious, and fresh. Hands down best sushi spot in the Bronx. The service was also superb. My girlfriend & I didnt have to wave the waiter down, or wait around for service once. It was also a delight to watch the sushi chef do his thing right in front of us. I highly recommend this for all sushi lovers.

Kirakus service is either very good like todays, or just good which is the same for their food. Sometimes the sushi chef out does himself, its delicious and I cant stop eating and other times Im just satisfied. Its definitely worth coming back and their prices are comparable. You must give it a try!

I love eating here every once in a while. I always get the beef udon with sushi. The best deal, however, is the bento box, which includes a lot of different stuff. The miso soup is really good too! Highly recommend. Great food and great service in the Bronx. 5/5
