My route from Cooperstown, NY back to home in Pennsylvania passed by Binghamton, so since my wife and I have never been here we decided to stop at a brewery in the area for a snack around lunchtime. We got to Water Street Brewing shortly after it opened at 12:00 on a Sunday. The beers here were fantastic, from light to dark. We shared a sampler of 10 beers and enjoyed every single one of them. My personal favorites were the 1000 Year Porter and the Aaaah, Bock! weizenbock. As far as appetizers I tried the cauliflower soup and their pretzels with a cheese sauce and both were very good. Staff was friendly and helpful about the area. As a bonus, I enjoyed the few old school heavy metal posters they have hanging up on the walls. Id want to go back if I ever find myself passing through the city again.

They occasionally have an interesting beer on tap, but usually its just a "good" beer. Im more interested in trying something different and unique. The menu leaves a bit to be desired. Overall, its good, but nothing stands out to make me say "wow". Except their rare Toasted Coconut Milk Stout. Its also awkward. Do you seat yourself? I have to place my own food order and pick it up? Service isnt anything special. They should also make it clear their kitchen closes at 6pm on Sundays...even though the establishment closes at 7pm. I was eating here -- and between 6:15 and 6:30 (I ordered before 6pm) we watched them turn away 14 different people (7 separate groups) that walked in looking for food.

Good place to grab a bite. My wife and I stopped in on a Sunday and there was a decent amount of people in there. We sat ourselves and by the time we made our decisions on what to have we realized we had to order at the bar. I got a couple of looks standing at the bar but no one approached or said anything. Then I realized there was a place to order in the back. I wish it was easier to see or if I had a bartender just inform me where to go. Everyone knows that look of a guy trying to get a bartender to take their order. The food came out cooked well and we enjoyed the burgers and the pork shank as a starter. Didnt get to try the beer cause I had a long drive ahead of me but maybe next time.

I dont drink beer but, my friends do. I went one night and was amazed by everything! You walk in and you know longer feel like your in Binghamton ( thats a good thing! ) I ordered an ice tea and it was the best Ive had in a long time. Next up was my tempeh spiedies. I couldnt believe how delicious this was! Even more surprised that it wasnt meat! For once Binghamtons got it right! I love the atmosphere, food, and amazing Service!!! Plus from what I hear the beer is good too! I recommend you try this place even if you dont care for beer. My friends and I come here all the time, we havent been disappointed yet:)

This chill brewery makes for a great place to hang out and enjoy some fresh crafted suds. The beer itself is delicious with many flavors to choose from or a flight of you want to sample. There are light blonde ales and pilsners all the way up to strong porters and IPAs. The food menu is top notch as well with tacos people travel miles for. While you sit and drink you can even play a game of uno or any of the multitude of other games available there. Its the perfect spot whether paying through our staying for an extended stay.

Went here with my wife for the first time and we loved the atmosphere here. The order and pay upfront was different but nice. We felt like we could take our time eating and not felt like we were being rushed by the waitstaff. The food was amazing we each had a burger and they were so good. The beers were fantastic and it was a nice selection but not to many to be overwhelming. We will definitely be back.

Awesome Beer, Wine, and Food Ive been here several times and love it every time. Started a bachelor party out here that add a great start to the night. The beers are good as well as the selection. Ive had the burgers, wraps, fries, and soup and not one has come out bad. You want good food good beer and good wine this place will not disappoint.

Great experience every time Ive gone; attentive staff, affordable beer, good selection and pretty good flavors. Leaving this also as I had such an awful experience at the other brewery downtown that people should know this one is superior. Not sure on the food though, as I have not had any.

Tasty food, vegetarian and vegan options. More self-serve in terms of you order to the side of the bar and then pick up your food at the same place when ready. Good place to relax with friends, have never been rushed out the door when we finished. Prices comparable to other local eats.

Love this place. Very clean, comfortable, with an upscale professional vibe, unlike many downtown bars. The beer is excellent, and while there is a small menu for food, everything Ive had is excellent. Try the baked potato salad with a dark English ale, youll thank me later.

The beer is wonderful, the ambiance is great & the people are friendly & knowledgeable. It is a nice place to sit down with friends & have a conversation. A great change from the noisy, crowded, sports bars that are everywhere. It is more like a neighborhood pub.

Entered at 5:50PM and was turned away because the kitchen was "about to close" though the restaurant remained open for another hour. Not welcoming at all. Sketchy town and definitely not worth going out of your way if youre just passing through.

Great burgers fries and rings. Excellent beer selection. Place your orders at the bar and the staff gives you a pager. Pickup at the bar when the pager flashes is very efficient. Nice selection of table games for friends and family gatherings.

$12 for burger and iced tea?!? Burger was dry and only lukewarm. Theres no actual kitchen so food offerings are minimal—not even bar food. Soda in cans or bottles. Another pretentious Binghamton "hotspot."
