I am giving them 5 stars but I need to explain why. We spent a night in Salisbury, MD because we love the Salisbury Zoo. We were going to Ocean City but thought it made sense to spend the first night in Salisbury - wake up, grab coffee, drive less than 10 minutes to the zoo, spend several hours at the zoo, and then head over to Ocean City. (The Hampton Inn is very nice and it was $110 versus $280 for the Hilton Oceanfront in OC. So you drive approx 8 minutes - instead of 48 minutes - to the zoo and you save $170. Its a win-win.) OK, back to the restaurant... The woman at the front desk recommended the restaurant. The reviews on Yelp looked good. We decided to try it. The place is nice. The vibe was good. There was a dj running a Bar Bingo game. All 80s music. People definitely seemed to be enjoying it. I ordered a hot turkey (mashed potatoes and gravy). My girlfriend ordered the beef stew. My dinner was good - the mashed potatoes were *excellent*!!! Her dinner was not "bad" (not bland, not burnt, not overcooked, not spoiled or sour) ... she just didnt care for it. It had a spice that she didnt like. She told the waitress and the waitress took it away. No questions asked. No attitude. No problems. She asked if she could bring something else. My girlfriend asked for a side of mashed potatoes - because they were so good - and nothing else. After that, the waitress asked if my girlfriend would like a free drink or a free dessert. (She declined, but thats not important.) JUST TO BE TOTALLY CLEAR - 1.) They took the beef stew away and removed it from the bill. 2.) They brought the mashed potatoes (probably a double order) and did not charge us for them. 3.) They offered a free drink or dessert. In other words - they bent over backwards to accommodate us. Truly amazing service. This was a level of service you rarely see anymore. If the owner happens to read this Id like you to know that our waitress was "Asena J" and she was absolutely amazing!! Friendly. Sweet. Courteous. Professional. Do everything you can to keep her!!! If you find yourself in the Salisbury area, visit this pub!!! You will be very pleased!!!

Wish I could say something about the food but I didnt even get a chance to try it. This review is for the service. Since the time was around six we expected it to be busy. Just as I expected it looked busy. We asked the wait time and the hostess told us that there was only one party in front of us. They made it seem like it would take maybe 20 minutes max which we were okay with. 20 minuets go by, then 30, then almost 40. Finally, after seeing a couple people being seated we asked what was taking so long. Turns out people who have reservations go before the people that are actually there which we did not. If youre planning on eating here either make a reservation or go before dinner or else youll spend a very long time waiting.

The food that Ive had here has always been fantastic. The boxties are delicious and flavorful, and are more than enough to eat. The only times Ive been disappointed was when we couldnt order our food. Their hours say "open until 2am" but thats just the bar. Kitchen closes at 10:00 pm. The service is very good though. They accidentally brought us and charged us for a full Sheppards pie when we only ordered a side. They were very apologetic and took the whole thing off of our bill. Definitely some of the nicest servers weve ever experienced.

Never got to try any of the food. We went on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy so we expected a wait. We were pleasantly surprised when we we seated in about 5 minutes. Then a couple minutes later we were asked to get up by a different hostess. I guess another party had reservations? We dont know because it was never explained to us. Anyway the rudeness of how we were treated will ensure we never go back. Long story short, have a reservation or youre taking a gamble.

This pub has fast friendly service and the owner will always stop by the table and say hello and make sure everything is going well. This is the only place where my fiance and I have found that offers things that we both enjoy with both drinks and food. All of the friends we have brought have loved the place as well.

Great atmosphere. Fun time with the Irish jam band playing last night. Shephard pie was so tasty and great portion. Our server was one of the best we have ever had anywhere. Management did meet and greets at table. Thanks for a great time, will definately return!!

Great unique food and a good atmosphere is only enhanced by the live bands they often have playing. Make sure you call ahead to reserve a spot on nights with a live band.
