Went here for a private function, and were in a reserved area, so did not get a good sense of the overall atmosphere. Brew river is a Sparts bar/Restaurant in a college town. It is in a great location on the Wicomico River running through Salisbury. Beer: Decent beer selection, featuring a number of Maryland based brews, along with their own branded beers. Food: We were given a set menu, so did not see the regular menu. Our choices were NY Strip or Salmon. The steak was OK, but they wouldnt cook it it any more rare than medium. I get the impression it was pre-prepared for our party. Not the best NY Strip I ever had, but not the worst. Others in my party that ordered the Salmon said it was very good, but I did not get a chance to taste it. Service: As we were in a privte function, we had two dedicated servers. We were not a huge crowd (25 -30), and most ly they kept up with demand. Personally, it took me about 25 minutes to get a beer. The first draft I ordered they were out of, but no one came to let me know. I ordered an alternate, and it still took about 10 minutes to come out. I am sure this was because we were a private party, but still a bit frustrating. Entertainemnt: Sports bar, so there are plentiful TVs. Overall: If I were in town, I would probably go again to check out the regular menu.

Visited last Friday night with a large group of parents and h.s. baseball players. Location and atmosphere was great. Nice to sit outside on the water, live music was good, crowd seemed to be having a fun time. Service was good and patient, considering the size of our party. But the kitchen was slow getting our meals out to us, although to be fair it was a busy time on a Friday night. The beer selection was good, several local options to choose from. The food was just ok. The pre-meal bread basket was hot and fresh. For entree, I had a salad with jerk chicken, which was a bit tired and had the actual iceberg lettuce stem on the plate. My son had a burger which he thought was just ok. Others had steamed shrimp, steak and chicken wings. Most said the food was just ok, nobody gave a "very good" endorsement. I still say worth a visit, while on the way to OC, if your looking large dockside restaurant, with standard American & seafood fare.

Thumbs down the service and food very poor tonight. I was here couple months back the service was absolutely horrible however the food was pretty good that night.Tonight I got the stuffed shrimp same thing I had last tine but it was not the same it cost 25 dollars not worth it at all. my grandson took one bite of the shrimp and gave it back to me that is saying alot he never passes up shrimp. My fiance got chicken imperial and it tasted like precooked chicken not fresh chicken with imperial sauce on top of if for 24 dollars. Sorry excuse for chicken imperial. I dont know what is happening with brew river but it used to be a place I frequented a lot because of the good service and food but that is not the case anymore. I gave them a 2nd chance but I will not go back again. Very upsetting when your bill is 87 dollars and not worth it at all. Maybe its nothing but a party place now I dont know. You need new cooks and service all around.

The wait staff, particularly the head waitress in the bar made me give Brew River four stars; that and the river view patio with covered bar outside. The food is generous but mediocre. The bar and restaurant are large with plenty of seating, including a banquet area inside. The bar is a huge sports bar with large tvs at every angle possible. It has booths and scattered tables. There is no decorative theme and the bar is quite dark yet not cozy or intimate. A manager who could choose a better chef and do something with the inside ambience is sorely needed. This is a male clientele oriented bar with specials of double servings of beef and crabs; there are sports activities. Good local food is not a reason to patronize this bar. Big televisions with sports highlighted, and huge servings is what this bar/restaurant is all about.

Its my first time here and its very slow. Got here at 2 p.m. on friday. Was so happy that service would be and should be fast. There are 5 tables of people eating their lunches. It took FOREVER to get our appetizer. When our lunch finally came, we had to wait for the fries that came with it!! When i ordered my food i specifically said id need lots of ketchup for our orders of fries and cheese steak sub. When the food came my cheesesteak sub was wayyyyy over cooked. I ignored it and asked for extra ketchup again. The waitress is nowhere to be found. The time is now 3:47. Its taken since 2 p.m. with 5 tables in the entire restaurant to get all of our food and still no ketchup. Will not be coming back thats for sure.

We love to sit outside at the dock bar. We had domestic beers in aluminum cans at happy hour prices. We both had hamburgers with Boardwalk fries and they food was great. We always get great service there and sometimes there is live entertainment. Since it is on the river there is usually a wide variety of birds and waterfowl to watch. Weve seen hawks fishing, mallard ducks with their ducklings and even once saw a bald eagle. Pets on leashes are allowed outside at the dock bar. We also went for Sunday brunch last month. Two of us had breakfast with 2 for one mimosas. Two of us chose burgers from the lunch menu. The complimentary basket of assorted muffins was delicious too!

Ive eaten here twice. The food is extremely bland. The cole slaw is watery and tasteless. The mac and cheese was extremely overcooked to where the pasta didnt even hold its shape, and the cheese tasted like nothing. I wouldnt bother ordering any sides. The shrimp have a weird chemical smell and taste to them. The chicken carbonara tasted like it was made with cheap thick sauce out of a jar. The restaurant is gorgeous with the renovated interior. However, I wish they would have spent more on the kitchen and the cooking staff rather than the decor. The service is friendly, but for the price it is not worth eating here. Just get some drinks at the bar.

Everything about this place was horrible. My boyfriends soup was completely cold when he got it, as if it had been sitting for hours. I ordered a crab cake, and they came back and said "apparently we dont have crabcakes right now." I ended up ordering crab cake pizza, expecting it to be completely different than it turned out to be. I didnt like it AT ALL. We asked if we could get it half off, and the manager said no. Paying half seemed generous to me! In addition, the manager wouldnt come over and speak with us. He avoided us the entire time. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!! Horrible service and food! Manager is rude and does not deserve anyones business.

Its was my first time experiencing Brew River, and I can say that Im not impressed what so ever. The employees were very immature, the service wasnt great, the food was mediocre, the soda nozzles must have been dirty because the drinks tasted horrible. And on top of that employees were drinking at the bar, on their phones ignoring customers. There were customers that sat themselves and had been waiting for like 15 minutes for a menu. I understand its a bar but they advertise the restaurant portion as well. Well that was my rant on this joint. Hopefully the management keeps up on the reviews made and addresses these issues.
