I once passed through on a road trip of over 3500 miles and happened across this restaurant. Their salsa was hands-down the best Ive had. How good was it? Since living in Phoenix Ive made two trips so far and am driving there again tomorrow (394 miles each way). I believe habanero is their main ingredient but this is not just any very hot salsa, it has TERRIFIC flavor. The rest of their food is pretty good, but the salsa makes the restaurant.

I had the caldo de res (beef with cabbage, carrots, corn on the cob in a clear, flavorful broth) served with Spanish rice and a tasty tortilla. My husband had the huevos rancheros with red sauce and an egg cooked medium....also done beautifully. The service was outstanding and the coffee was freshly brewed. The beans were extremely well prepared. Just a fabulous meal and one Ill repeat.

Went during lunch hour drove from El Paso. Took 10 min to get menus. Ordered chili con queso it was good, however waitress did not come back to take order for another 15 min. Another 1/2 hour to get our lunch. Food was just alright. Nothing great. Our ticket was brought to table a few minutes after our food was brought. Very rude! Will not be returning.

I happened upon this cozy little place many years ago during a cross country trip and have to agree with many others that the salsa is amazing! I came back through again on another long trip and tried to stop in but it had just closed and I was so sad because all I could think about was that salsa. Fortunately, the salsa is available to order online.

Authentic Mexican food?! Ya right. My wife and I ordered the chimichangas. I had the shredded chicken and she had the shredded beef. I think the meat tasted like unflavored saw dust. That had to have been the absolute worst food Ive ever had and I would never recommend it to anyone even if the food was free!

Ate dinner there on a stop while driving a very long distance. Food was OK, not great. I had the Quesadillas with shredded beef and a couple of beers which were served in a can with no glasses. Prices high for this type food and the location, but it "hit the spot" since I was very hungry.

I chose to eat hear because I was staying at the Holiday Inn Express right next door. The food was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised that it was flavorful and not to spicy. The staff was friendly and service was prompt. I will definitely eat here again when I am in Las Cruces.

Passing through and came across this cantina. Wasnt real sure about it because not many cars at dinner time but wow, salsa was amazing. Not the type I am accustomed to but it has some amazing flavor. Bought a jar to take home. Service could have been a bit better so 4 stars.

I have friends who live in Las Cruces and was told this was a hometown favorite so I had to try it....it was DELICIOUS! Everything from the chips and salsa to the flan I had for dessert. I loved it! I order their salsa online so I have it at home at all times!

Least favorite Mexican restaurant in Cruces. Food seemed bland, staples like beans, rice, chips, and salsa tasted processed. And its a little more expensive than other area restaurants to boot. Just not a good choice given many others.

Had huevos con carne with red chile for breakfast as they were right next to my motel. Delicious, spicy and filling. Only bad thing I have to say was that I would have gone there for dinner the night before, but they close at 8:30.

Great food and even better service. Employees were closing a bit early and took my hubby and I as their last customer. Were traveling from Florida back to California. Food was delicious and just the way to end our night.

I was passing through and decided to try the special. 1 red, 1 green Tostada Compuestas. Fast service and the food is great. Not excellent but Good. Salsa is the bomb though... Not a bad place to stop.

Over an hour before they close and they shut down half the restaurant. Only booths to sit in and we need a table due to having a wheelchair in our group. Dont want my business? Then well just leave.

Smothered green chili burrito plate was amazing. Honestly it was a little spicy, which I loved. The waiter told me ahead of time that it would be spicy and it was just right.

Stopped on our way thru town. Waitress was very nice, restaurant was clean but my husbands food had a hair in it. I had old tortillas with old food stuck on them.

Yucky, not really authentic Mexican food. The only thing good were the refried beans. The rice was old and too dry, the flautas were way too greasy!

As usual, the food was good. A few too many interruptions from the wait staff but I would much rather have that than poor service.
