Thankfully they had a bar to make this experience less horrible. I was with my sister driving from Snowmass to Denver, and we were starving so we stopping in Edwards. We saw Fiestas and decided that it looked alright from the outside so we went in. Right off the bat we were standing in the doorway waiting for a hostess for what felt like ten minutes (with open tables in plain view) while numerous staff walked past looking at us miserably. The atmosphere of the restaurant is that of tacky-looking number pinatas for sale hanging from the ceiling, and painted decor on the walls. Kids wandering all over the place while their parents yelled at them. Finally a girl wearing an XL wrinkled mens Fiestas t-shirt over a long sleeve shirt, and jeans and tennis shoes walks up. Apparently she is our hostess. She leaves again and tells us to wait. We are finally seated and she hands us our menus and basically throws a basket of chips on our table, forgetting the salsa. The chips were gross and stale, not the mention there were some green chips in the mix that tasted like an italian pesto. Not something that belongs with salsa, or in a mexican restaurant. We patiently waited for salsa, and for someone to take our order (drinks, at least!) Our menus were shut, and waitresses continue to walk past our table, ignoring us completely. Another ten minutes goes by. I get fed up and flag the waitress down and ask for salsa, and she nods and leaves to get it. She was nice, but clearly untrained. There was mild salsa and "hot" salsa. the mild had no spice, and the hot tasted like the mildest of mild. It wasnt good at all, but we were starving and ate it anyway. She vanishes, and a guy appears, dressed in more professional clothing, and he says hell be our server. After we ordered our drinks and he left to get them, we never saw him again. Another waitress tells me my margarita is on the way, and yet another waitress brings it. One of the waitresses begins to take the food orders of the table of 4 next to us, who had just sat down a few minutes prior. frustrating. I flag her down, and ask if we could order. She says "sure!" and walks over and asks us "would you like to order anything?" this made us grin a little bit. She takes our order, leaves our menus. A long time goes by before again, I get fed up and flag someone down to take the menus away. We get our food. I got chile relleno, and a shredded beef taco. I asked for a small side of pico de gallo, which comes in a TINY plastic condiment cup (and they charged me 1.50 for it.) I ate the chile relleno first, and it was OK, but the green chile had the overwhelming flavor of refried beans. Kinda gross. I move on to the taco, which is usually a safe order at mexican restaurants. This was unpalatable. The shredded beef was so soggy that it turned to mush between my teeth. The taste was terrible and bland. I did not eat another bite. It was hands down, the most disgusting taco Ive ever eaten in my life. I nibbled on the stale chips and gulped my margarita the rest of the meal. We hardly ate anything, and we werent hungry for hours after going to Fiestas. Not to mention, everything was grossly overpriced for the quality. The margarita was probably the only thing worth it. Avoid this place at any cost if you like mexican food. We will never be going back. :(

The food here is horrific by any standard. I had take out so I will not comment upon the help, who seemed friendly enough. Any reviews here to the contrary regarding the food are either of another restaurant or management, or were placed by the restaurant owner/friends. Avoid this place like the plague. Let me put this in perspective, Taco Bell is about 100 times better.

We have eating at fiestas for years. Has been our go-to place Mexican Cuisine. On July 6th we made reservations for 13. Six of our party were going to arrive 5 to 10 minutes after the reservation. We took their dinner order ahead of time so there would be no delay with taking our order. The waiter was hesitant about letting us place our order until all were present but did take the order as we requested. The food we received was terrible. One person did not receive what he ordered, there were two orders of tamales and they were brought out about 15 minutes after everyone else had been served and both orders were cold and had to be returned. The plates were very hot but the tamales were cold. There was one order of fish tacos but there was no fish on the tacos, when this was pointed out to the waiter he said he would advise the chief but never returned with an option for a solution. We had requested some white cheese sauce which was received but there was an upcharge of $5 for the small bowl of cheese sauce. The restaurant was busy and appeared to be understaffed . The waiter had a difficult time keeping water glasses filled. I did bring my complaint to the managers attention and she reduced my order of fish tacos $5 which meant I paid $7.50 for beans and rice. I have to say Fiestas will no longer be on our list of places to dine.

THIS PLACE SUCKS. ITS DIRTY, UNORGANIZED, AND THE STAFF ARE UNPROFESSIONAL. THE TABLES ARE WOBBLY AND UNSANITARY. THE CHAIRS ARE BREAKING. AS SOON AS YOU WALK IN YOU CAN SEE A QUARTER INCH OF GRIME COVERING THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT. IF YOU ACTUALLY LOOK AROUND AFTER YOUR SEATED YOULL FIND YOURSELF ASKING, DO I REALLY WANT TO EAT HERE? THE TABLES LOOK LIKE THEY GOT THEM FROM A SECOND HAND STORE AND THE FLOOR IS DISGUSTING. IM PRETTY SURE THERES A FEW MAJOR HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS GOING ON HERE! THE FOOD IS DESCENT AT BEST BUT EVERYTHING IS OVER PRICED. YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF GOING ANYWHERE ELSE IN THE VALLEY. MY WIFE DIDNT EVEN WANT TO EAT HERE BECAUSE IT WAS UNSANITARY, SO I ORDERED A CHILE RELLENO AND A BOWL OF GREEN CHILE TO GO. THE GREEN CHILE WAS WATERED DOWN WITH ABSOLUTELY NO MEAT. IT WAS A BOWL OF THIN BROWN SOUP. IVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A RECIPE FOR GEEEN CHILE. IN SHORT ITS OVERPRICED, AND UNSANITARY.

I have to disagree with the last poster that said it was unsanitary. Living in the valley a while, and close to this place, Ive found Im lucky b/c its definitely one of the better cheap places to grab some good greasy texmex. They have a huge menu like most of these places but I can only claim to have tried a small portion. Everything is pretty delicious but this is definitely not a 5 star wine and dine type of establishment. Thats definitely part of what makes it so good. Cheap, delicious and friendly. As for the cleanliness side, Ive never noticed anything out of the ordinary there. Im actually going to stop by tonight and take a look around, but my suspicion is the last poster works with or for another competitor. These places are pretty cut throat in the valley.
