This is hands down one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had. Five of my friends and I went to Breckenridge for Thanksgiving break. As soon as we entered, the atmosphere was nice and it looked a decent Mexican restaurant to eat in. Once we were seated, the waiter came to us to take our orders. He gave us a very negative vibe like he did not want us there, he never had a smile, he pulled our menu cards arrogantly after he heard our orders. There were quite a few things that went wrong when we went there. First, he served one of us the wrong food from what we had ordered but when we told him about it, he was kind enough to replace it with the food we actually ordered. Then, a couple of us who ordered dishes with chicken in it, in those dishes the chicken was under-cooked, the chicken was hard to chew and rubbery and few of us tasted it just to make sure. When we told him about this kindly, he immediately told us that the chicken was definitely cooked without considering there might have been mistake on their side. We told him again to take a look at it but he said, they always check temperature of the chicken before they served it. We all found this hard to believe considering how it tasted and how cold the chicken was when it was served. We told him again we still did not think the chicken was cooked well. Then he told us he will take our dishes, cook the remaining chicken and bring it back to us (A lot of restaurants would have immediately replaced the entire dish in this case). He took the two dishes, went into the kitchen, made some jokes aloud with his colleagues and laughed loudly. Then he brought one dish back in a couple of minutes, left it on our table and went back. The chicken was still cold and was the same as before. We were all frustrated and just wanted to leave without making our day worse. We waited for the second dish but it never came. He brought the check which included all the items we ordered, they did not remove the uncooked item or the second dish that they did not serve. This is hands down the worst experience I have had and I would never ever go to this restaurant.

The only problem I had with this place was the food. It was like a Mexican and an Italian had a baby who opened a restaurant. I live in San Antonio, Texas, where the density of Mexican restaurants may be highest of anywhere except Mexico. I usually eat Mexican food at least a couple of times/wk. The food at this restaurant didnt taste terrible, it just wasnt Mexican. They seem to have no idea what real Mexican spicing should be. The salsa taste like it should go on spaghetti--it tastes like tomato sauce out of a can with oregano, basic, etc, and chives. Too thin and too Italian. We had fajitas for two. Again, not terrible but not Mexican. It looked like a huge pile of food at first until we figured out that it was a lot of onions and peppers and very little meat and again, it was not spiced like Mexican food should be. The guacamole was actually not that bad but it is hard to screw up mashing an avocado. We also had a queso dip that wasnt that bad, but nothing to write home about. Their specialties are numerous seafood dishes, which I havent tried, so maybe theyre better at that, but Im generally reluctant to eat seafood served more than 1000 miles from the coast. If youre looking for real Mexican food at a reasonable price you wont find it here.

The owner or manager was rude and not friendly. I smiled numerous times and was very polite. When I asked for something I wanted which would have been spinach enchiladas with cheese and cream sauce he pointed to the menu and asked what I would want on there. So I had to modify it a bit which was fine. We paid, left and I ended up with food poisoning while on vacation with my mom and kids. Thank goodness no one else got sick. When I called to tell them it was most likely their spinach, the woman put me on hold and I spoke with the owner or manager. He told me that I must have gotten it from somewhere else and I told him well seeing as that i brought all my food up with me that it was there that i got sick from. Terrible attitudes and telling me Im wrong. Dont waste your money here, please.

We came for happy hour (two-for-one margaritas; half-priced second appetizer). Our medium marg cost $10.95 and was basically all mix. When I mentioned this to the server, she said we would have to pay more to get tequila. The guacamole had a brownish-green color and was definitely not fresh. The salsa tasted like it came out of a can and had lots of oregano. The server never asked about our meal. Avoid this place.

Do not eat here. The queso is runny like watery soup. The waitress doesnt speak English and ordered us the wrong thing- she doesnt even know the prices at the restaurant. The manager is very rude and said if I had a problem, I need to call President Obama. Do not eat here- eat across the street at Mi Casas. You will be glad you didnt waste your time or money!!!

Ordered takeout tacos camaron & tacos al carbon... had a fiesta picnic by the river & enjoyed every bite. Not cheap, but nothing in a resort town is. The salsa was great & shrimp delicious. Perfect post-hike lunch. They gave us a handy box to carry everything in & it was plenty of food for 2 people. Well go back on next visit to Breck.

This is a great restaurant. We loved our meals. The service was very good and it seems like many people have not discovered this little gem in the heart of Breckenridge. I asked them to include jalapenos in my fajitas and they willingly did so and the dish was fabulous! Give them a try for great food, service, and prices!

Food is ok, but it was a horrible experience. I wish we would have ate somewhere else. Other people were playing music at their table, making loud lewd remarks, and acting like drunk fools. The wait staff was inconsistent and nowhere to be found when needed. I will not be back here, ever. Go somewhere else.
