I give the Tavern two stars this time because of the food and service. I took my family to the Tavern at 4pm for the raw bar special. So an early dinner. There was only one bartender who served us our drinks promptly. But it took about 15 more minutes before another server came out to take our order. In the meantime my wife and I went to the small raw bar to get some shrimp and Alaskan crab legs. After getting our food, I asked the server what one of the sauces were and he said "its the same as this" (cocktail sauce) "but old. Im trying to get rid of it and most times when customers serve their own sauce, theyll take from it instead of this one." The crab legs and shrimp were good however. When the waitress did take our order, my wife and I ordered the tuna appetizer and nachos. The tuna seemed old and chewy and the sour cream along with the guacamole for the nachos were also old. Actually, the sour cream was bad. The meals my kids had were fine. Quesadilla and the fried trio for my son. At the end, I asked why the food was so off as usually I would rate the Tavern a four or five. The server had no response but did take off $10 worth of drinks to make up for the disappointment. I will try it out again.

The Lighthouse used to be an excellent place, with specials like 2 for 1 burgers on Tuesdays, half price wings after 9:00 PM, Surf & Turf special on Sunday, etc. BUT then they hired a new chef, and the prices went up, up, up. No more 2 for 1 burgers. No more half price wings after 9:00PM. The Sunday Surf & Turf special went from $20 to $39 ! ! ! Yeah, that sounds special to me. Now the Lighthouse thinks its an "upscale dining establishment" instead of the neighborhood tavern, which is what it really is. Since they will be losing customers at a rapid pace, they should reconsider their "wisdom" in hiring a gourmet chef and much higher prices, or should they have kept their previous kitchen staff and kept the good deals that their former patrons came to enjoy? After all, if I wanted to order Escargot at a gourmet price, would I go to an upscale restaurant, with tablecloths, clean silverware, and comfortable seating or to my neighborhood tavern? Think about it.

Terrible from the time we pulled into the parking lot. We had a group of 13 of adults ranging from ages 55 through 87 stopping for dinner. A customer who was outside having a cigarette told our driver that he couldnt take up so much space. The driver told him he was just dropping us off and would move in a few minutes. Wasnt blo king anyone anyway. Was cursed out and and told he wasnt allowed to do that. When a member of our party went inside and told the bartender what happened she didnt care at all. Didnt call in a manager to deal with the situation and insulted a prospective customer. Not professional at all. Just lost 13 customers and generous tippers. Never go there if you expect any modicum of respect.

Must be a local thing. Service was non existant unless it was a regular. Had to flag down waitress for anything. Asked for medium cooked Burger and got a rare Burger bleeding on the plate. They took it back made it medium but it was on the same blood soaked bread and plate. Also the fries came back cold too. Bathroom door was propt open and the sink had black stuff swirling around when you ran water. Ill post an update if I get food poisoning. The locals in there seemed nice and happy. Over all I wont be touching this place ever again.

We were there on a Friday night - very crowded and we had to be out in an hour. They sat us at the family table - the manager worked with us on ordering as there were probably 30 orders ahead of us, I got the fried flounder sandwich which was out to our table within 30 minutes - able to scarf down enough and then head out to my show at Albert Hall. I really appreciated the working with the customer on a deadline - thank you Lighthouse Tavern for rescuing our very busy night and helping us to eat prior to our music show.

Just left the Lighthouse Tavern. After grabbing a seat at the bar after another patron left, my husband and I, WAITED and WAITED for nearly 15 minutes TO BE SERVED. 3 OR 4 bartenders behind the bar but not one came over to tidy up the counter with the empty glassware from previous customers, or to ask us if we wanted to drink. We even pushed the empty glasses near the edge of bar counter so they would notice. We were completely ignored. We left...dont need to spend money in a place with poor customer service

Was there twice this season , first time was a burger lunch , good cooked right and bar tenders were on the money. 2 nd time not so good wings were over cooked and bar tenders were busy taking care of tables rather than those sitting at the bar.left and went to Mud City down the road , much better..gotta stay on top of your business if you want repeat customers !! Will try one more time could have been a bad day !

Food was good, service was decent, and process were very reasonable, but if you want to have a conversation and there is a band... think again. I would have enjoyed it a 100% more if the band would have turned down about 10 decibels. They are set up right on top of the dining room, with a large PA system, so its as if theyre playing inside your head. The band was actually really good, it was just way too loud.

I have never had such bad service in my life. Head bartender was horrible and we were treated like garbage. Save your money and go somewhere else. Trash......

I had shrimp cocktail and broiled scallops the other night. As good as any restaurant you could go to. The shrimp were HUGE and cooked exactly right.
