French guy who lives in US since 6 mouths, I never had a similar experience before... I went to this bar-restaurant last night with my girlfriend and order two cocktails at 12 dollars. The price is fair if you have cocktails on rocks but the bartender decided to gave us some frozen cocktail... (full of ice crushed with a blender and taste like water) we told him that there is nothing written on the menu that indicate that the cocktails are frozen so he just did one of the 2 cocktails again (on the rocks this time) but not the other one. And he explained us that if we dont specify, we have this cheap frozen cocktail. He did not specify it before, its not written on the menu and everyone but us had cocktail on the rocks... After this I will definitely not recommend this place with unhonest waiter.

We went there to eat on July 4, 2015 for dinner. We ordered our meals, and after 45 minutes we said something to the waiter who went back to the kitchen and came back and told us that they are really backed up because they were busy. This would have passed as acceptable if we did not watch a table get seated after we had ordered our appetizers, and they already had theirs. The appetizers we ordered were not complicated, it was just fried pickles, the seafood bisque, and the oyster shooters. We then still had to wait, this time asking for a manager. The manager came over and apologized for the wait and told us they were comping our appetizers and giving a discount on the entire bill. For dinner we ordered the seafood pomodoro, the mussels, a tuna filet with asian slaw and red bliss potatoes, and salmon with broccoli and red bliss potatoes. All meals were to include salad and bread which we did not get either of. The tuna was over cooked to the point of chewy and the potatoes were cold on both as was the broccoli. We waved the waiter down who took it back to the kitchen and they remade those two meals. They fixed the tuna but the potatoes and broccoli came back out colder than they were the first time. We finished our meal and did not want dessert so we asked for the check, after 20 minutes our waiter still had not come back with our bill. We told the hostess again, who had helped us initially and she went to tell the manager. The manager still did not come even after waiting 10 minutes. I went and got the manager personally and he said he would handle it, but he never showed up to handle it either. A different manager came over to speak with us and we explained everything. He said he would get our check and bring it right over. Well he did nothing as well and we ended up walking out and not paying. ( we had warned both managers we were going to walk). All in all, the food was mediocre and the service was horrendous. Management could have cared less because we were not walking around in our thongs like all the people from the beach. I have no problem with them being a beach bar, but i do not need to see girls in thongs while i am trying to eat dinner. Some decorum at dinner would be a good thing especially with the little kids that were in the restaurant.

Laguna Grill & Rum Bar offer delicious prepared food and drinks. Our bartender, the host and our server were all friendly. Our party ordered the fish & chips, pan seared sea bass, crab cake sandwich and crispy fried white shrimp. All of us were very pleased with our dishes. Our server was prompt, friendly and attentive. Like many restaurants at the beach Laguna Grill doesnt take reservations. And like most establishments everywhere your entire party must be present before seating. They have a nice long bar inside. Theres also seating outside. Ocean views from just about any point are beautiful. It was strange to me that only half of the restaurant was open on a Saturday evening. Also strange was that a restaurant on the beach would not have fly control under wraps. Dear Management, please purchase Victor Fly Traps. These are all natural and safe. The traps are placed outside the establishment luring flies away with pheromones. Another weird thing is that a Rum Bar would run out of dark rum? My Dark & Stormy was neither dark nor stormy. Whatever white rum was used was bland and indistinct. Neither me or my brother could detect liquor in the drink. It just tasted like ginger beer with ice. I wasnt even told they were out of Dark Rum or asked if I would prefer a different cocktail. I was just given a cocktail that was not what I ordered. I personally would have preferred another cocktail made with the proper ingredients. Other drinks at our table like, white sangria and variety of beers, were all tastey and very cold. We will definitely return. Hopefully dark rum stock replenished and not-a-fly-in-sight. Parking: We arrived with several cars. There is a parking lot. Signs say Legacy Vacation Club. Parking is free valet. Some of us also found easy residential parking less than a block away.

Im a Brigantine resident year round. Apparently this place doesnt need my business or my visitors. After tipping the valet, we walked in to find it was almost empty so youd expect them to be eager for our business. We ordered right away, received our drinks, then waited, and waited, and waited. Another couple came in and sat next to our table and were served their drinks and then their salad and bread by our waitress. She came back to us after 45 minutes had gone by and said in case we were wondering why we didnt have ours yet , it was because the internet was down and our order was never placed, and that she just placed it now. The eldest member of our party said there was no excuse. The waitress said it would just be a few more minutes. we debated about 10 minutes and decided it was time to leave. I will have to think more than twice about ever returning. My visitors said they will not. I would agree that the only thing good about this place is the location, but they did not even give us a chance to try the food... Any other place would have at least brought out bread, salad, SOMETHING, or offered some form of compensation.

Unfortunately new owners dont always know the "right thing to do". Went there for breakfast after 11:00am mass along with many other parishioners. Stopped serving breakfast at 12:00 noon, we were there at 12:10 (our usual arrival time for the past 5 years when we were asked what menu wed like to see). We were given the lunch menu which was severely lacking in choices. After we ordered we asked if they would honor a gift certificate we received last year, of course the answer was no since they didnt buy any of those obligations when they bought the restaurant. The manager came out to tell us that a) they never served breakfast after 12:00 in their history (absolutely false) and b) they didnt write the gift certificate out it was the old owners and they didnt buy the obligation... thx we already heard all of that from the waitress! Lastly the food was basic shore fare nothing notable except one person received theirs about 15 minutes before the rest of us. Well be sending everyone we know over to Macadonias for breakfast.
