With the exception of 2 years that I lived in Glassboro I lived in Clayton from 1961 through 1989 and never once came here for a meal unless I just dont remember it. Since my mom was one to always have a home cooked dinner on the table we rarely if ever ate out with the exception of an occasional fast food while on vacation. Recently since I travel around a lot for work I have been trying a lot of different diners as well as other restaurants so I wont have to go home and cook a dinner after a long day of work. Yesterday morning I had reason to be in Clayton and although work has slowed down a bit and I could have gone home and had a good breakfast there I decided to check out the Liberty since the reviews I had read were sounding like it would be a real good choice for a meal. Not knowing what to get I decided to try the bed and breakfast sampler since it would give me a little of all the normal breakfast fare that all diners offer eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, pancakes and home fries. Everything with one exception was good even down to the bacon being cooked just the way I like it without my even asking and the butter and syrup were not in those stupid little plastic containers but in a nice bottle and small cups. My only exception was the sausage that although it tasted good it was a little on the fatty side but now I know and will just get bacon next time. All the staff were helpful and pleasant even to where they were able to let me know what the dish was that I saw someone else had ordered that looked much better than I had seen the same dish elsewhere. If I am ever in town again and needing a meal I will not hesitate to come back and see what their lunch or dinner menu consists of and maybe even recommend them to coworkers I am traveling with.

I have been coming to the Liberty Diner for 8 years now. My wife and I love it here. I have brought friends and work associates here and its always a great experience! The staff and the owner are friendly and helpful and they always make you feel like family!!! Thank you Liberty Diner for being such a great eatery and close to home! I didnt expect a lot walking in to this place, but WOW. The staff was friendly. The owner was friendly and always smiling. I ordered the prime rib 3 times here in the past 2 years and it was amazing every time! Ive seen diners screw up a steak before, but they do it right every time.
